    This is better than the generic "What's in my Golf bag" episodes. Camera folk like us can have confirmation of what we have guessed you guys use 👍

    Thank you for just blowing up everyone's idea that they're going to take their phone out golfing and be the next RGC. Props to you!

    OK big bags of stuff ... cool to see. My tiny setup: Video is edited with PowerDirector 365.
    Recorded with DJI OSMO Action and Sound with a MOVO VXR10 Pro.
    Mounted on Joby TelePod PRO Kit Stand with a Ulanzi BG-2 6800 mAh Power Bank in between for endless power.

    Hey - I appreciate this video as a person who loves the golf content, I am amazed how beautiful it is too... I knew the footage had a Sony look to it.I was assuming SIII. It looks great, and sounds great. Some of the best looking golf footage on YT. Keep it up!

    This was so cool. The only additional thing I'd like to see, which may be too nerdy/niche to be realistic, is what the evolution of "what's in the camera bag" from the beginning of the channel/AIG to now. Great job, Simon!

    I knew it took a lot of gear to create how you guys do. But damn, that is insane. The production quality definitely shows and Simon is a G. A young EAL that EAL perhaps wishes he had growing up.

  • @JTNMax
    @JTNMax Před 2 lety

    Well done! I know very little about this stuff but watched the whole video and enjoyed it. Really surprised at what is required! I'd be curious to see what is used for editing as well. That has to be a chore pulling all of it together.
    Makes me appreciate more those channels that pump out 2-3 high quality videos a week! Lot of things going on behind the scenes.

    could you recommend more of a "do it all" lens for the sony fx30? Im thinking an 18-200mm with auto focus would be a good all around lens especially when zooming in to see greens approaches on something like a long par 5

    Great video! I always wondered what drone you guys used! Do you think you would ever upgrade to the Mavic 3 Cine? Film in that sweet Apple ProRes 422 HQ and take the footage to the next level! I currently use the DJI Air 2S for my little videos ... That thing is a beast!

  • @stephencolor2010

    Do y'all shoot everything in 4k, 10-bit, and S-log3? And what's your backup process while on the road until you get home to the RAID?

    • @RandomGolfClubFilms
      @RandomGolfClubFilms  Před 2 lety +2

      We do! 10bit S-log3 is the way to go with the new Sony cameras. For backups, we travel with two 5TB Lacie hard drives that are backups of each other and a 2TB SSD for reviewing footage. -SK

    • @RandomGolfClubFilms
      @RandomGolfClubFilms  Před 2 lety +2

      Changing the color profile to slog-2 or slog-3 will help with your dynamic range, but that adds some complexity to editing since you will need to color grade. A good place to start is just by making sure you’re exposed for the highlights. Adding a ND filter will also help cut out the light if you haven’t done that already. -SK
