Thank you so much for the opportunity! Was a ton of fun. I love seeing how fast your channel is growing! Keep it up, and much love
Tallah is the new age Slipknot and no one can change my mind, pure raw emotion consistently. 👏🏽
You're such an inspiration man, keep the sick vocals up !
Thanks so much for hanging out, Justin. Looking forward to working on more stuff together!
Was a blast!
Huge fan of this video's format. Hearing the perspective of the vocalist makes for an interesting watch. More please! Also been a big fan of Justin's since "Ghost Feet", still listen to that one daily! Keep up the awesome work guys.
This is just two dudes talking about metal and screaming at each other, I enjoyed this video.
Yes
First time here? Lol dig it
Oh shit! You got Justin on the show? I’m fanboying so hard
He's a rad dude!
Some people usually hate seeing an artist enjoying their own music like justin was in this video but as a musician if you don't personally enjoy what you created no one else will
One of the most important lessons I learned about music is when the guitarist of a band called The Room Colored Charlatain said his band was his favorite. I was like "That sounds a little arrogant" and he replied "Why wouldn't I write music I love?". That kinda blew my mind. Now I Love when artists jam out to their own tunes.
Wait what, there are people out their who don't want artists to enjoy their own art???? I'm shocked. I dislike artists who HATE their work because they never perform it with soul.
@@user-bx8sj6qm3w I have several friends in bands that refuse to listen to their own music after the mastering stages unless it's a live show. They enjoy it but only on stage. Its ridiculous to me
@@Witness089 When youve been working on a song for that long it gets really tiresome hearing it over and over again. Hell i get tired of hearing shit i just came up with 15 minutes ago.
@@yellowsaurus4895 I'm aware of that but it's still odd to me that they act that way about it. I get if it's a filler track they were only half in on to start with but when it's the clear standout of the EP it makes no sense to hate it
YO! Did you enjoy this video as much as we enjoyed making it?! Well, Justin will actually be joining us on our Discord on Friday to hang out with all our Patrons, so it's as good a time as any to come and check it out and join in the fun! www.patreon.com/kardavoxacademy
Would love to see you do more videos like this. So fun.
This was my favorite video that you’ve posted, would love if you could continue bringing on vocalist to do more videos in this style!
B)
Man you HAVE to check out this! Felipe Hervoso from AXTY (a REEEEAALLY GREAT Brazilian Metal band) made a one take performance for 2 of their songs and it's absolutely amazing! I'd love you to do a reaction of it czcams.com/video/QC1EI7gvz7c/video.html
This is a super entertaining format! Hope you'll find time in other artist's schedules to do similar things. Maybe Lucas from Holding Absence? Their live version of Wilt is insane
YASS!!!
legend
Just two wholesome dudes vibing to one A N G E R Y tune, love it
Anger can be wholesome too! Or can it. Oh no.......existential crisis incoming
@@KardavoxAcademy If my long years of metal and festivals have taught me anything I'd say a wholehearted yes, it most certainly can be
I don’t know why no one talks about the breakdown. It’s fucking insane!!
I see a lot of people talk about it. A lot of people don't talk about it enough too though.
Evan Blake yeah, I don’t know. It should be iconic
@@poopytootsface3489 I 100% agree. I think it will be considered so soon enough. Hopefully Tallah gets a lot more well deserved popularity.
On god!
@新聞記者 I've seen quite a few. Think at least a handful fail to talk about it. although part of that is some channels just remain as surface level and physical as possible with their reactions.
After months of reading comments like “day 876 of asking you to react to Tallah” and “I am once again asking you to react to Tallah” Mark fully snapped on this one.
He did do Tallah once before, he did the Overconfidence vocal video. Probably a month or two ago.
Haha what Evan Said!
Justin is a ridiculously knowledgeable and practiced vocalist. This guy needs more attention!
Oh for sure!
My dog looked over at me when Justin did the insane sort of low-to-high scream that kicked off the ending of the song lmaoo
Haha hell yeah - my dog gets irritated about my vocals almost daily :P
You and justin have some serious bros for life energy
Hahah he's definitely a rad person to hang with!
A 50 min long reaction video for a song that’s a little over 4 minutes. Gotta love it
And you almost wouldn’t believe it’s justin making the noises when he speaks normally. He’s so talented
Not the kind of music I listen to, but I love this guy’s vibe and energy.
Right when the song started and he's "dancing" I'm like is this dude the extreme metal version of David Byrne?
Peter Garret from Midnight Oil
I love that sort of shit
Justin can also do those whistle register screams. He’s seriously talented.
Some of his vocals have a serj from SOAD vibe too
@@garyhen1707 He definitely has the insanity vibes of the vocals from SOAD, so there's an inspiration at least
*Shaken (not stirred) has entered the chat*
I love those whistle screams he does sometimes!
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Most entertaining vocalist in the game. Mark my words, he will be huge one day.
Justin is one of the most talented vocalist of our time
I full on agree!
Definitely he has such a crazy vocal range
This is going to be cool. Tallah has been an amazing band thus far.
I audibly gasped and then did multiple fist pumps when I saw this thumbnail! Ahhhhh!
Just two bros bro'ing hard! It made me smile seeing that in my notifications!
It's always nice seeing bros bro'ing together.
Just a buncha bros bein' dudes!
Hope to see a reaction video of "Blasphemian" with Dickie Allen soon
yeah me to
He did soil the stillborn already, I’d prefer to see Mark tackle a song from TBOY
Man, anything with Dickie Allen would be amazing! I've seen his streams and he's super cool and funny. I think Plaguebearer or The Kingdom Sitteth etc would be great choices, there's a lot of shit to unpack in those ones.
I think any tracks from their new album would be much more cooler, especially "Empusa:Queen of the Damned"
Yesss
Tallah is such an incredibly underrated band. They’re all enjoying themselves. I saw them recently live and holy shit. What. A. Show. Every single member of the band gave it 100000%.
Ah yeah, this should be good!
Two things: I LOVE the NuMetal feel to this song a lot AND I LOVE THIS DUDES ENERGY MAN! Fuck yeah
The thing i really enjoy about Justins sound, and other vocalists such as Darius from Spite is how they manage to get this feel of insanity into it.. It's a very difficult sound to describe with words, but let's look at Alex Terrible, he sounds like this huge fucking mean monster right, but Darius or Justin here, they legit sound like they're bout to go insane, which is a great fucking evil sound dude.
Justin is so fucking cool. I stumbled upon his Hungry covers years ago and listened to Hungry Lights and Tallah. Such an epic dude.
Yeah, Justin is definietly an epic dude!
Guttural Slug is amazing! One of the main reasons I got into the really heavy side of death metal and slam.
I still remember hearing justin do the whistle scream that everyone thought was a guitar pinch in that Jared dines vocal contest haha.
Tallah is such an interesting band. Especially for this day and age, they have such a unique sound. I hope you check out their new song "Vanilla Paste" . It's probably my favorite song from them now. You would enjoy reacting to it as well cuz there's like 3 vocalist features. It's sick!
Justin said that there's more tallah this year. I can't be the only one freaking out now, right?
L.E.D. switches between 7/8 and 8/8(or 4/4) I absolutely love this! I'm trying to learn the song on guitar and it's nuts. Hearing Justin talk about how he gets on time is super cool and unique.
Edit: got to the end and that bits actually in 6/8 lol
Justin is like a happy excited little kid and I'm vibing with it.
Tallah are so weird and chaotic yet it just works haha
Just as I was jamming all day to their song Overconfidence you upload this.. hyped
Have you heard needless? Little bit of drama with it but my god is it good
Overconfidence is easily my favorite
So hyped for this! Hope to see more of these in the future
That little vocal relax part in the outro felt very metal core, caleb shomo for just a few seconds and then it jumps away from it. His vocals sound like he learned from immitating a fuck ton of metal subgenres and now hes abme to just mix and match these vocal styles in a way unique to him and i think thats super sick.
You know it’s really good content when video is twice longer than the usual but it feels like 20mins! Justin has some crazy techniques and I loved to hear him breaking them down step by step. Keep up the good work Mark, gonna hop on to your Patreon later this year.
Awesome! I'd love to see you there!
He uses so many different vocal styles in one song and makes them fit. I think that’s one of the things that really makes tallah stand out from so many others
Been following Justin since his days of Hungry Covers. Man's a fucking beast of his own kind. Great to see where he's at now!
I am not into listening to music with a lot of screaming/growling, however you call it, but the techniques behind it I find so fascinating! I loved this video, and all others where you break it down for a newbie like me. Thanks for all this work!
I’ve been listening to this dude’s vocals since I was 14, I’m 26 now. Seeing him finally getting some real recognition for his talent is absolutely wonderful dude deserves to make it big.
I’ve been watching Justin for so long. Since he was doing covers on bands, my favorite was when he did a cover of “the outsider” by a perfect circle. He even did “what does the fox say” and the “oompa loopma” song. I love you, Justin! I can’t wait for him to continue blowing up! 🤍❤️🤍
Justin is great - proud to call him a friend of the channel!
@@KardavoxAcademy You are very equally entertaining as well (and talented)! I actually subscribed after watching a few of your videos! Can't wait for the new content!
Man this is so great, love you guys~
Ooo yeah!!! I’ve wanted to see this for a while!!
Cant wait to enjoy this during my workout!
This is really insightful! Loved this
LOVED this interview! It was fun to watch! Wasn't planning on it but I watched the whole thing.
okay i loved every minute of this!!🖤🖤🖤
This collab is PURE GOLD! thanks to both
Man Justin is so excited all the way through. This was an amazing video!
I loved this video.. Great job hosting.. Very intelligent questions as well. Would love to see more of this style of content!!
So glad you brought these guys to my attention. Kick ass.
i love the vibe between you two
awesome video. Justin has put in so much work to get to where he is and its only getting better for him.
This was amazing. You guys vibing with each other is so fun to watch. I smiled so many times.
I love this! So cool you got to make a video with him 😁
That was awesome! You should definitely do more of these breakdowns with the artist. I'd be more than happy to see you 2 breakdown the whole album, Great fun.
So entertaining watching this. Thank you both!
Thanks for making this awesome video dudes!
I love how much fun you two look like you're having just discussing vocals and techniques :D
Best video and best people!
I am READY for this. I set an alarm and everything.
Justin is amazing vocalist. This video was really fun to watch!
Really cool and interesting talk! He seems like a really nice guy (and you of course as well) :)
Absolutely adored and appreciated this video. Justin is legendary and it's amazing to see you two collaborate and make his performance an educational experience
You guys have really good chemistry, love you guys.
Justin is one of my favourite vocalists, I love how in control he is of all the mad sounds he makes too
YES! You picked the vocal video version! WOO
His vocal videos are the ONLY ones that I would prefer over the regular videos. I love official videos, in general, but the entertainment factor is so high with him 😁
I can't believe how amazing this is - it's awe-inspiring!
I love how thoroughly you talked about the vocal techniques and feel when it comes to fry and false chords as a vocalist myself it’s some reassurance I’m on the right track
That was amazing! I have had singing lessons and now I am trying to learn how to scream. Singing and screaming are connected but the way that screaning feels is really different. These kind of conversations help me understand screaming better. Thank you!
i am very grateful that you give us this content for free, greetings from argentina
I would LOVE for you to have Justin on again - this was very, very, very entertaining and informative
Omg yes I'm so excited for this one!!!!
You aquired a new subscriber, just by having Justin on here. I'll continue to check you out, and I am completely new to your channel..
I love how proud and excited Justin gets when he hears and "shows off" these crazy insane screams, especially that at the very end.
25:12 Sooooooo True Sir
Now days everyone has become so numb to technology they don’t pay attention! But the way you explain it I love it. It is Art it is a performance and let’s WATCH PLEASE!
This is fantastic. Cheers folks
these deconstructions of single sounds like on 38:05 onward propell my vocal control forward immediately, you guys break all these things down so clear and understandable, thank you!
I've been listening to Justin for like 6 or 7 years now!!! Amazing guy and artist
Thiiiis is gonna be awsome !!!
Nice to see Justin in there ! He's such a goal
I've enjoyed this video. Justin Bonitz is an absolutely amazing vocalist🤘🤘
Instantly made me a fan of Tallah, so unique, lots of energy.
I really enjoyed this talk and breakdown.
Another amazing reaction! Such a sick video
Your channel has reached a new peak! I didn't know you could top having Elizabeth on, but Justin?! God tier!
Really love this! This was awesome.
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is so interesting and fun to watch and learn.
Ya know what, I've mentioned this before on your channel, but I love how you and Justin are really big on the safety, and I love it. I've been doing vocals as long as Justin, and I've said before how I axtually messed up and did damage my voice, but I've gotten to better. I still struggle with xome things as a result of previous damage, but all the experimenting is whay makes it fun. And as I said, I've been doing vocals as long as Justin, but another fun thing is that you can ALWAYS learn new things and keep experimenting. I enjoy Justin's music and listening to him make just these amazing sounds and learn how he does them. It's great
Big fan of Justin. Great video
Always loved Justin, his voice his screams are so unique to my ears, he is just like a fresh breath of air to the genre 🤘🏼 and his performances man, this dude is crazy haha when he did soad’s sugar cover or the Bridge of disturbeds down with the sickness where he totally goes insane, I knew this man is reaching for the stars. It’s just like all the demons are moving from the depths of hell into his body 😂 love this talk and analysis of you two!! Keep it up!
I remember seeing Justin's channel Hungry Lights a while back, once I saw it was him in Tallah I was instantly happy for him because this band is blowing the hell up and he deserves it.
Really cool to finally see a vocalist doing these types of videos using terminology and explanations for these things that distortion vocalists sort of intuitively know, but are rarely provided any sort of direction on from traditional vocal coaches outside the Melissa Cross camp. I would love to see a video from you breaking down the techniques of Anthony Notarmaso from After the Burial. He has such a fascinating and reserved approach that really stands out.
Amazing to see two of the first vocalists I've searched up to learn how to scream in one video 🖤🖤🖤
This was wonderful and insightful to watch. I loved every second and look forward to the next one. Keep up the great videos!
Awesome, thanks for hanging out!
Oh man, loved this one! I started learning how to scream just for fun and when I was trying these exercises to get into fry screams I accidentaly slipped into false chord screams aswell. But I guess false was more natural for me anyways as I am a deeper baritone. I learned quite a lot from Justin's vocal techniques videos aswell - really recommend watching those. Cool video, love you guys!
A lot of value packed in this video!
Hell yeah!
