This is the draft class that took the game to another level while Jordan was finishing his career in the nba. RIP Kobe. Blessings to the rest of those guys.
Nah in 96 it was the middle of his 2and 3peat these guys got to play the goat when he was at his strongest
Just shows the impact Jordan
Yes
Jordan definitely wasn’t at the end of his career
Although Ben Wallace was undrafted this same year, he should've gotten a honorable mention.
What does Undrafted mean ?
@@yvngflix_9557 Undrafted is when an athlete is not selected by a team during the draft period. The athlete then signs a contract with a team after the draft is over.
Lorenzen Wright, Jeff McInnis, and Shandon Anderson were left off as well. They all had far better careers than Samaki Walker and Travis Knight.
@@zmoney71 rip lorenzen wright
That's another reason for this class to be the best ever😁
That draft class was insane!!! Kobe, AI, Ray Allen, Marbury, Nash, Peja, Z, Antoine Walker, Camby, ... CRAZY!!!
blud forgot Kobe
He said Kobe are u slow?
ben wallace
Anyone watching this after Kobe passed, so sad man
yes man , kobe will forever be rememberd
We know it’s sad bruh
Kobe's whole story is literally the stuff that legends are made from. His early death deepens his legend & make him even more iconic.
Zack Miller yes , very sad
Kobe is the greatest player from the 1996 draft what a Star Legend Forever ❤💯🌹🏀 🌠
This Class was so stacked that they didn’t mention the four time Defensive Player of the Year and soon to be Hall of Famer - Ben Wallace - who went undrafted that year
Exactly bro 💯 freaking crazy
exactly they didn't mention him cause he was undrafted stupid ass
JOSE LUIS ALVAREZ GONZALEZ 😂 well SOMEBODY has low self esteem. Felt good calling someone stupid, huh 🤔? Clearly while you were patting yourself on the back, you didn’t notice that this video is about the Draft CLASS not JUST the DRAFTED
@@TheGDunkulific draft class who was drafted in that year not who was drafted and undrafted StUpId AsS
JOSE LUIS ALVAREZ GONZALEZ 🤣
1996 was a NASTY draft class
I thought it was pretty tasty
thought it was pretty NASHTY
+Kenshinhugo gtfo
+Kenshinhugo Kobmazing!
hj
Hands down the best draft class ever.
- 3 MVPs (2 multiple)
-maybe 8-10 players in this class became an All Star.
- became Conference champions and NBA Champions
10 All-Stars, 4 total MVPs, 4 Hall of Famers, 1 DPOY, and a lot of great roll players
@@mn6720 5 don't forget about Peja Stojakovic, plus the big 4.
84 is debatably better With 2 top 10 players and 2 top 30 players as well which are Jordan, Hakeem, Barkley and Stockton
@@mn6720 1 DPOY? I guess Ben Wallace's 4 DPOYs don't exist anymore 😂
@@mn6720
5 hall of famers actually
Ben wallace, kobe, nash, ray allen, iversion..
2 defensive players of the year
Camby and Ben wallace
As a day one Kobe fan, I think it's incredibly fitting that he's the one with the ball in this photo.
That was no accident either 💯
Didn't see that till you mentioned it.
FACTS this group was legendary
His left hand was in a cast in this picture. That's why is posed in this position. I have the Slam magazine in which this picture was taken.
All the players I grew up watching. All gone.
Dirk still lives
the 90s and early 2000s were the best years of NBA miss the NBA action wen it came out on Saturday morning growing up
Nba on Nbc intros could make u wanna watch two of the worst teams play.
We still got Vince Carter playing
@@kaskoosek wasn't he 1999?
I would love to have that 1996 draft poster.
SLAM Magazine
I remember that A.I. had a conflicting photo shoot with Reebok, and Kobe broke his arm or wrist.
I trashed mine. I should have EBayed it. Lol. Sorry
MANCHESTER UNITED F.C okay who’s asking?
@MANCHESTER UNITED F.C Who ask?
@MANCHESTER UNITED F.C too much text for an opinion that no one asked lol
pd: love soccer but stfu still enjoy that sevilla blow your team in the semis
The best class in history. Look how much championships are taken in this class. How much 3 point winners,MVP trophies,DPOY trophies, and MIP trophies. i mean.. DAMN MAN ✌🏻
God lowered his blessings that night, legends were born in this era
Arguably the most efficient draft class of all-time
You mean THE BEST draft classbof all time.
2003 was also as impressive
Nope the 1984 draft jordan olajuwom stockton and i think charles barkley
@MANCHESTER UNITED So what?
MANCHESTER UNITED what the hell does soccer have to do with anything
Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, Allen Iverson, Ray Allen, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Jermaine O'Neal, Peja Stojakovic
This is the best draft class hands down.
96 Draft class had 5 HOF this one at least will have 10
enacuate you're delusional
+Justin James 2nd Best* Bud
OK whatever best imo
2003 was the best
2003 is so top heavy
Who's here to watch Kobe Bryant how he started his career?
me
Me
Me
Eyyy💪
Nah, sharif Abdul rahim.
R.I.P To the legend Kobe Bryant ❤️ 7:44
I will not add my like in the memory of 81 points of the legend KB 8 24
Oh shareef, I’d forgotten about you. Smooth as butter back in the day. And how gifted was Marbury? You forget about some of these guys after a while.
And then Peja Ben Wallace jermaine O’Neal
Peja Stojakovic was a major savage in my opinion
because he not Allen, Iverson, Nash, or Bryant
Xaxa... well as Serbian in USA he wasn't that popular in that period thanks to dickhead Clinton and his gov. Still I liked your comm because Peja got his ring with Mavs with TWO All Star 3-point shooting titles while playing for Kings.
Peja scored 25+ in European cup final 96 PAOK (greece)vs laboral kuxa (tau) Spain . he was 18 and this game was in laboral's home.
Peja... gone too soon🤔🤔🤔
Peja the goat
2019 anyone?!??
11 of them actually have WON an NBA Title wow that’s literally AMAZING!
Rest in peace Mamba! We always love you. 😢❤️
One of the best NBA draft class of all time .🏀
The best NBA draft class of all time. And Kobe Bryant became one of the GOAT!
Showed his class he's the best out of the class & I don't wanna team up or practice with you I come to destroy you not ride on a banana boat with the boys 😂
Only one goat
no 1984 was , but the 1996 draft was stacked though !
13th pick becoming one of the top 10 players of ALL TIME. Damn!
Kk
Jim Lam Tom Brady
I watched these dudes play.... and I didn’t realize they came from the same draft class.... but one of the best draft class assembled and collection of talent....
the '96 college season was amazing, ray Allen was at uconn, Iverson at g'town, camby at umass, kittles, van horn, duncan, a stacked Kentucky team, those were the days
Yessir...college ball was like that back then...
Yes. The Kentucky team in 96 was one of the best all time with their press. Great team
Shame how college basketball changed
Its mad that Kobe was selected 13th that year.. Then went onto being one of the greatest of all time.
It could be used as motivation for others though
He was just some 17 year old lol
A kid straight from high school
+VinBones should that matter, lebron did too
+LilJuan3 They were different players. also, seeing Kobe succeed like he did in the league I'm sure more teams would want a taller, faster, stronger high school student
Damn didn’t realize how stacked that class was!
If you were born in the 90s, this draft class was really a lot of the b-ball heroes we grew up with! Arguably the best ever, and definitely my fave draft class of all time! I doubt that will change!
I don’t know. That 84 class was stacked. That ‘03 class was stacked too
I was born in the 80s and remember Ray Allen at UConn and Iverson at g town.
@@randykincy7954 2011 has some serious players too
@@randykincy7954 03 is not stacked. Outside of 4, with Korver making an all star in 2015, that class doesn't even come close to 96 draft.
@@PBMdanya2003 draft definitely had some great players (Lebron, Carmelo, D Wade, Chris Bosh). But i agree with you, that 2003 class was not as deep as it was in 1996. The 96 draft class was the best in my opinion
This was one of the deepest drafts
This 1996 NBA draft was the best ever. 3 MVPs , 1 Defensive Player of the Year, 1 of the best shooter in the game and many other talented players in the first round.
And a God in china … they even built a statue of him. His name is Marbury
You know it's a stacked draft when Ben Wallace comes out the same year and doesn't even get drafted.
So true💯
I forgot about Big Ben we don't even get nothing like that anymore such a collection of great players now you only get drafted if you're good in high school.... like that bum Lonzo ball should have never went number two overall
He’s a great story because he had to work hard to get into the NBA and stay in it if he was in the lead today he would be defensive player of the year just bullying all the week ass soft players.
I love how the Detroit Pistons championship team motto was they can’t foul us all out
This draft was the best ever for sure
Nash was a legend. Miss my early 2000s suns
The class of legends! Rest In Peace Kobe and Gigi! Thank you for everything
Damn, the '96 draft was stacked, packed, and all that!!
The best of course is KOBE BRYANT!!!
How do you figure that one out Sherlock?
Allen Iverson is the best and he changed the nba as well
The 84 draft was good 03 was good but 96 was the best. Kobe, A.i., Nash, Ray Allen, starbury, Jermaine O'Neal, and stojakovic. The best NBA draft
Don't forget "big ben" Ben wallace and Antoine walker.
Hands down!!! Best draft class
84 had MJ. nuff said. those 96 guys are trash in comparison
If you prefer depth than this is better, but if you prefer how good the top players are than it’s 84
@@maxmalten7749 exactly........... from top to bottom, 96 was the best draft class of all time, and i am a michael jordan fan......... it feels a bit nostalgiac because i was in middle school looking up to these guys.
Awesome draft class awesome loved the NBA when I saw these players cuz they just had heart and soul and they left it all on the floor when they played
We need more videos like this one with more recent draft classes! But this is a dope video ‼️💯💯💯
I was a hardcore sports cards collector, and remember buying tons of '96 Skybox, Fleer, and Upper Deck packs. Crazy I pulled all these guy's rookie cards, and still have them. All retired. Man I'm old.
Marvin Morris
Happens so darn fast
Those Nash Suns teams were one of the most entertaining teams ive ever seen. Its too bad Phoenix doesn't have a title.
The Big 3 of San Antonio wouldn't allow it.
they could have won two ... stupid ppl wanted to come out onto the court and get suspended ... idiots
and that Joe Johnson injury of course
INDIGNATION 13 If only they were better at defense.
I was not a fan of their team, but I agree with you. They should at least made it to the finals Nash, Stoudemire, and Marion! I swear they was averaging like 60 + wins every season someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Great Class, I feel the 2019 draft class will be one of the greatest classes too. So much talent.
Wow the class of 96 was strait 🔥 🔥 🔥 I remember buying this magazine too when I was a kid I was 12 years old those were the days 🏀❤🌠
Best damn draft class of all time
One of the best draft class of all time but the1984 draft is loaded as hell.
they had the best guards in any draft
2003 was great too
The 84 draft is top heavy if we were to name best ten players from both 96 and 84 the 96 one would be far deeper it's not even close
TRUTH
nah, you get past the big for and it thins it real quick. '96 Is the deepest ever
For me, this is the best draft class of all time.
Definitely much success came out of this class nobody can argue that
@Aaron9 nah 84 only had 4 good player but 96 had more than 10 all star player
Spideypool Gameover99 but even with just four all stars they were better than a majority of the all stars form 96
Amazing video! Great work : )
This draft class was amazing! I truly miss this generation of basketball.
Best draft class ever! Most of the 1996 draft became superstars.
Was lucky to see this guys play. One of the best draft classes
Best nba player in the 1996 nba draft,
KOBE BRYANT!
No Doubt 💯
No shit?
If we just talking about 96 Iverson was the best player
@@gandalfthepink925 were talking about the best who come out of theyre carrer

My favorite draft class. People drool over the '03 class because of 3 or 4 guys, but look at all THESE GAMERS. Deep.
Lebron, Melo,Bosh,Korver,Wade I mean 96 had Nash,Bryant and iverson
ohhhhh my 1996 draft was a bunch of superstars.... amazing
The draft class that moulded my generation
That class.... RIP Kobe, we'll miss you! Take care of Gigi, poor little girl :'' Sad
One of the greatest draft class in the NBA history along with the '84 and '03 class.
Allen Iverson is my favorite basketball player 💯
96” Draft was monsters
Thanks for sharing. I was just here for Kobe. Well, Allen Iverson too. 😉
It was insane draft!
I think this draft actually could be an allstar team itself
Heck dude, this entire class could of been gold-medal winners at the Olympics themselves! 🥇
It's just funny that most of the kids today didn't even watch J'Oneal, Marbury, Peja, AI, Walker, Nash at their prime and saying 03>96 and trying to discredit 1996 draft.
Today's basketball fans are just pathetic
Agreed!!
other than Lebron and a short careered wade i don't think 03 class was that strong.
flawless mr can we just appreciate both my nigga some people just have opinions like you. U think 96 is better than 03. I think there equal just witness the greatness and shut the fuck up simple my nigga
flawless mr
out with the "old"
in with the NEW
which is exactly what YOU did in "your" era
now yanno what it feels like .. you thought you could get away with it, as if it wouldn't happen to you too 😂😂😂
All they know more is LBJ and the Cavs. Curry and the Warriors ang thinking they are the center, the spotlight of the NBA.
Dam... some of them Kobe highlights were killers.
This draft is all superstars in the making! No one can't beat this line up even some undrafted rookies.
You Talkin bout Value almost at every pick I remember everybody vividly a lot of winners from this draft and A Top 5 class Fasho🏅

Im a big of. Camby he should won title in new York
Walter Flanagan Camby should have been the Scottie Pippen of Allen Iverson, they played well together in the rookie game :-)
Watching this and hearing names I haven't heard in a decade was wild as hell
What a great class, these great players really made basketball games so much fun to watch.
This was 1 of my favorite draft classes
Kobe was the greatest player selected of his draft. The best draft classes in my opinion was 1984,1996 & 2003.
Pound for pound...it has to be A.I.
All were Great Talents...
84 top ,4 wins over 96 and 03.. Jordan , Barkley,.the Dream and John Stockton..vs James,Wade Bosh melo vs Kobe,AI, Ray Allen and Nash. 84 by a Head.then ,03 over 96 by a nose.or a close tie.
AI
Kobe
Peja
A. Walker
Camby
Ray Allen 6th man
@mike92505
I’d put Nash over AI, AI was great, but Nash was hyper-efficient playmaker
