      I'm a bit confused trying to find the right AWG or mm for this project. You've stated earlier you use 24 gauge but the link to purchase the wire says the Outer Dimension is 1.52mm. Could you help me understand this discrepency? Were you referring to the inner diameter? Thanks again.

    • @sgaudiohive
      @sgaudiohive  Před 3 lety +1

      Awg is wire gauge, the dimension is the thickness of the overall wire, you can basically do this with any wire you like

    If I wanted a 1.2m (4ft) IEM cable after braiding, how long should my cables be to start?

    • @sgaudiohive
      @sgaudiohive  Před 4 lety +3

      Depending on your wire thickness, the thinner it is the longer you will need. A tough gauge is 1mm thickness wire 1.25m x4 or 5m total, also that depends on how tight is your braiding, the tighter you braid the shorter the cable is

      Pure silver is the way to go. 6N if you can find it, but 5N is fine too. Kimber KCAG variable strand silver interconnects are the ultimate for high end systems.
