Can you recommend a good buttercream?
I am having issues with my hot hands softening my buttercream!😫 Any suggestions??????
Hello fellow member of the hot hands club!! you are in good company, so many of us have this problem. There are a few things I do when I'm working on large projects(not really needed for this kind of demo since it's a short time with lots of breaks). I make multiple bags for the same color so I can switch bags and give them a rest. keeps them from getting too hot and gives them time to cool down in between, I work on stainless steel tables in a room with ac which helps to keep things cool and cool down faster between uses. I also keep a marble slab.cutting board on hand to rest my bags on since they stay cool even warm weather. You can also insulate your hands iwht latex gloves or even use the safety gloves that are meant for working with knives. they will help insulate your bags from the heat of your hands and should help some. I find them a bit bulky when I'm teaching but they work great. I also empty my bags if things start to get a little too melty remix and cool down my bc a little and then reload to keep going. Hope this helps and know you are in good company and it's something that everyone deals with!
That structure turned out to be a lot more complicated than I thought it would be from looking at the finished flower.
It took a bit of time to work out how to achieve the look for this one and there are a definitely a few steps in there but I totally think it's worth it. They look lovely when they are finished! Decorating is like that sometimes, things that take a lot of skill look deceptively simple and things that are easy look impressive and customers always think they are difficult. Cheers and Happy Decorating Margaret!
@@CakeDecoratingSchool They absolutely look lovely. They would make a beautiful 3-D cake with these roses climbing all over them.
I think that will be one we have to do in the future!
