  • 2 Scoops of Aloha is the only Hawaiian restaurant on Las Vegas Boulevard, and DJ Paul Pu-ukani Sebala is ready to take YOU inside! Meet the eatery's owner Shai Walter and find out why traditional Hawaiian food is so important in Las Vegas, which is lovingly referred to by many as "Ninth Island." Then, watch DJ Paul's reaction as he eats a lunch plate named after his radio station Pipeline 2 Paradise!

I thought the Hawaiian archipelago has more than 200 different islands ...why would Vegas be the ninth island? No, I get it. My church in NLV is mostly Hawaiian...

Hawaii is made up of 8 islands, hence Vegas being the 9th. Any smaller islands around aren't inhabited and are lumped in with the closest inhabited islands but there really aren't that many smaller islands. Maybe you're thinking of the Philippines?
