- This video is about 3 fake coins here is something that is telling you about the fake coins I hope you like it.
1. Weight: Genuine £1 coins should weigh approximately 9.5 grams. Counterfeit coins may have slightly different weights.
2. Edge Inscription: The inscription on the edge of a genuine £1 coin reads "ONE POUND." Some fake coins may have errors or missing inscriptions.
3. Security Features: Genuine £1 coins have several security features, including a hologram-like image that changes from a "£" symbol to the number "1" when tilted. Counterfeits may lack these features.
4. Detail and Quality: Examine the design, lettering, and overall quality of the coin. Counterfeit coins may have noticeable imperfections.
5. Magnet Test: Real £1 coins have a magnetic core. You can use a strong magnet to check if a coin is magnetic, but be cautious, as some counterfeit coins are made to pass this test.
6. Date and Design Changes: Keep in mind that the design of the £1 coin changed in 2017, so older and newer designs may differ.
..ah yes..I have 2 fake £1 coins..they are ok 4 the shopping trolly..🛒😊
When a pound is not worth a pound
Mind you with inflation what is lol 😀
Take care 👍
yeah
Real £1's are magnetic in the middle as well.
No they not because the are Bimetallic: nickel plated brass centre in nickel brass ring so the magnet will not stick to copper-nickel.
@@ROBERTSCOIN They certainly are Robert, otherwise all my RM BU packs, and my collection that have the micro dates and holograms are fakes! 😁. Try a few out, and you will see. It's weird as true £2 coins are made from the same material, but are not magnetic.
I have tried a few and the magnet doesn't stick to them.
@@ROBERTSCOIN Might need a stronger 🧲🤔
lol
