You guys used techniques I can do, but most of the other videos on tube didn't have any I can afford the tools for. Thanx for the info, nice to watch you execute it as well.
2 or 3 jaw puller to get the carrier bearing off. Chilling the splined shaft, using upside down pc dust blower cans or Ice makes the new bearing slide on much easier.
My drive shaft fell off on the way home , carrier bearing bracket ripped off, drive shaft came apart. Removed it with help of passerbys, unfortunately didn't mark locations, the u-joint housing is so rusted out that I'm going to have to replace the whole unit😖.
My driveshaft also fell off, a 2004 Ford f350 dual rear drive dump truck. Instead of the driveshaft falling down, it fell upward, grabbed the wire harness along with diesel fuel tank line..twisted them round and round the driveshaft like spaghetti on a fork. A big mess, I think carrier bearing bracket failed. Not sure if driveshaft is bent, where can I get it checked? From Boston MA bought truck new has only 34000 k miles. Thanks in advance for any help, where do I send driveshaft for straightening? Jim
@@jamesmacdonnell4085 : sorry to hear that, I had a hard time finding someone that could fix it, everyone wanted to sell me a brand new driveshaft. So I went to the junkyard and couldn't find one. The guy at the junkyard gave me a business card , I called the guy, he was 75yrs old and had my driveshaft with new bearing ready in 3 days. I'm in Arkansas so that information ℹ️ may not help you.

I love how you keep repeating lefty loosey, cuz I do the exact same thing 😂😂 and thanks! Needed this video!
Why does the carrier bearing look the other direction then when you were pounding it in?
I edited out that fiasco. Lots of bad words.
So you ended up using 4 p330s? Thanks for the video

At what speed does vibration start
It began at 30 mph, then disappeared until around 60 mph where it started again
After wracking my brain and exhausting my bank account ..
