    I own an apartment complex that has several of these in them some are whirlpool I believe and then summer Amana I was wondering if these older ones are worth working on and replacing them and how do I perform all the troubleshooting steps as I have several that are not working right but I think that they are still worth saving. Thank you for your time.

      @PtacSolutions  Před 3 lety +1

      Well it depends, if it's something simple like a control board, capacitor power cord etc.. I would repair, you can diagnose by following the steps in the video. If it's something like a bad compresor, refrigerant leak or if the unit is older than 12 years of age, I would recommend the unit to be replaced. Thank you for watching...

    • @PtacSolutions
      @PtacSolutions  Před 2 lety +4

      Hello,
      Yes power cord needed to be replaced because the control board was not getting power due to that power cord. After replacing it power did get through to the control board but the board was still not responding. After testing the transformer( was good) I knew that the board was also bad... @@PtacSolutions What about the buttons on the side of the power cord? Im assuming they act as a GFCI outlet would've.
