I've known Chris of The Black Swan Knives & Leather for about 2 1/2 years. He is a very nice gentleman. The difference between a Mora and a custom knife is: personalization and of course higher quality materials. The Mora is very useful and can be lost without tears. Custom knives definitely should be owned by people who can keep track of their gear and who love art.
He makes some pure Swedish, Norwegian, and Finn designs too. I think these people know and like practical designs and put them out. I think to Europeans are making more and more full-tang blades for the North American market. If it was up to them they would probably make mostly their tradition hidden and stick tang knives because they are strong enough, are lighter, transmit less shock, etc.
