- After a lot of experimenting with pancake recipes, I finally got one that will give you the yummy, fluffy pancakes we all crave in the morning.

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups of flour (210g)
3 tablespoons of sugar (48g)
2 teaspoons of baking powder (9g)
1 teaspoon of salt (5g)
1 teaspoon of baking soda (5g)
2 eggs (Room Temperature)
1 cup of milk (240ml)
2 tablespoons of melted butter (28g)
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract (5ml)
*This recipe makes about 8-10 pancakes.

This recipe is good as well especially in countries where buttermilk is not very common in our baking/cooking :) Therefore do not discount this one.I used this recipe today with cassava flour and it came out wonderful! The baking soda was too much though so I recommend cutting that out or way less like 1/4 teaspoon as in the updated recipe.

This recipe is better. My pancakes from the newer recipe ended up flat (mostly cos the batter was runny), and when i added flour, the mixture was too dense and hard, but much thicker. *This* recipe maked light and fluffy pancakes. I think people were complaining about the salty flavour in thid one cos they used salted butter, instead of unsalted, or their baking powder/soda was old, but dont mind them cos in the updated one, the amount of baking powder and soda was too little, which is also the reason y it went flat.
I love the original recipe much better…

4/4/23 I had tried making pancakes from scratch a few times but after many failed attempts I gave up and just went with boxed pancake mix.I came across this video and decided to give it a try after 3 years of deciding no more attempts on pancakes from scratch.These were AWESOME!!!!!!!my boys loved them ,and so did my daughter who hates pancakes ❤Thank u so much for this video,so simple ,to the point and DELCIOUS.GOD BLESS 🙏🏼😍

I have been trying to find a similar pancake recipe that I misplaced over 35 years ago. Thank you for providing me with one so similar that brings joy to my heart with each and every bite! I replaced regular milk with buttermilk and I added the zest of one lemon to tweak your recipe and it was spot on.

Buttermilk makes even fluffier pancakes and it’s easy to make at home!
Ingredients
-1 cup whole milk
-1 tablespoon (TBSP) lemon juice OR vinegar
Let mixture sit for 10-15 minutes to curdle and then after that mix the mixture very well and you will be left with an amazing thick buttermilk that interacts with the baking powder in your pancakes making them even more fluffy :)

Catherine that’s the traditional method but your buttermilk will not work here because it does not have acid in it. Today’s supermarket buttermilk is not made by churning butter. The supermarket buttermilk is actually soured.

I never comment on videos, but this recipe is 10/10. I suck at making pancakes but I’m so impressed with myself this morning lol! Added some white chocolate chips and made it even better! 🤤
For anyone struggling with dry hard to swallow pancakes just add one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to the 1 cup of milk wait for it to set for 5 to 10 minutes before adding it to the pancake batter and do the rest as the video shows OR you can just use 1 cup of buttermilk instead of 1 cup of milk for fluffy moist pancakes either method works great.I made this recipe for the first time and everything was perfect but the pancakes did feel dry in my opinion so just add 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to the milk hope this helps.

This is a good recipe.
Very fluffy.
There is a bit of a flour/batter taste so I altered the recipe to include more fluid. I added 30 ml of water.
The batter is very thick to spread on the pan but after adding the water, it is better.
My wife said she found it salty to reduce the salt as needed. The baking soda can be reduced a bit as well.
You can increase the butter to 2.5 table spoons if you like too.
Some lumps is ok but not too much. It will make the pancake have that flour smell.
Important to let the batter sit for 15 minutes for the first time before frying. Extra batter can be kept in the fridge for a few days.
Cook over a lower flame where the flames are about the size of a finger tip.
This was my exact experience with these pancakes!! I was searching through the comments looking for someone not saying how good and great it was because mines- 1:didn’t spread into the pan well 2:tasted like flour and a tad salty (also thought it was the baking soda) 3: added water but it looked sticky-er lol continued to use but still tasted salty so I trashed the rest …willing to give it another try with the salt AND baking soda AND flour alterations 🤗🤗🤗 thannnkks for this!!!🌹🌹

Tried this recipe today 10/19/19, minus the baking soda. Turned out great! Nice and fluffy. Almost cake like in consistency. I added cinnamon and nutmeg to the dry ingredient portion of this recipe. Omg this is the easiest and yummiest pancake ive had! I didnt even use any exact measurements and it still comes out great! The key for a thicker pancake is to never over-mix guys!

+Food Lab kuwait don't skip the basking soda. That's what helps give it the browness. It's always good to use both power and soda as just powder make it too white and just soda makes it too dark so you want them both they balance each other out to prevent burning and adding fluffiness.

The best fluffy pancakes I have ever made soo good. This recipe is amazing not too sweet just perfect! I think the secret lies in the baking powder and baking sofa together to get that thicker pancake. Will be using this recipe from now on as I realized with other recipes the inside of the pancake was a gummy texture but with this recipe it’s perfect like how the restaurants do them👍 A++ for this recipe
