I arrived to Malawi just after New Year and found the place so peaceful and free of tourists. I enjoyed these bliss days at the Lake Malawi so much and in between these relaxing moments, I had to do some practical tasks like fixing leaking forks on my motorcycle and getting preventive treatment for Bilharzia.

In April 2017 I left Australia for a solo trip around the world on a BMW F800GS. I named it “Are We There Yet” because I don't know my final destination or the duration of this journey.
Throughout my journey, I'm raising money for a young disabled child in Poland named Franek. Franek was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (weakness of the entire right side of the body) and he will require constant rehabilitation for the rest of his life. I've been biking over 45 years and in 2019 I went pillion for the first time with my Aussie mate to the Manx Bike races on the Isle of Man. Scary at 75 years old ! Still loved it though.

Sensational video Kinga-thanks for sharing! You have experienced a lot on your travels & met a lot of very interesting people. Particuarly in Africa you've come face to face with a country & it's people who speak a different language & live very differently to what we are used too. They look happy, that's the important thing, without the daily clutter in their lives that we have. It's a lot to process especially I guess the where to now. You have opened up a world to people who would previously have never experienced or seen the places you have been. You're an Adventure Ambassador that's for sure. Being in an environment like that, it would be easy to be absorbed into the relaxed life style & peace of it all, I would imagine as so often happens when you travel & experience new cultures/ life styles & scenery as magnificent as Africa. So vast-so raw yet so beautiful. Well done Kinga-hope you're enjoying your break

I was in Cape Maclear back in June 2001 after the eclipse in Zambia. It was a lovely place back then and looks like it now. Highly recommended as a lakeside stop for a few days if in Southern Malawi. Good snorkeling and hiking too, and yes the children there are special. They changed me forever!

My long time dream.. Riding in Africa on endless gravel/dirt roads in the nice hot weather. I'm waiting or the bug thing to clear out to do my trip in the north parts at least. Greetings from Bulgaria.
