I love Grace Jones. I remember her from the 80's, when she came out with that big hit pull up to my bumper. That was a incredible song and a big hit for Grace, even though me and my friends would argue over if she was a man or a woman, I did not care. I loved her music and her style. She was one of a kind! Thanks Grace!!
I absolutely love Grace Jones, since the first moment I laid eyes on her. I love that she's not aging at all. I love her and I love the term "manizing", which I will continue to do. LH Xo
She is so graceful, talented and witty. Lady Gaga should ask how to be like Ms. Jones when going out on a public, ceremonies, giving award or performances.
A nice NORMAL interview with Grace. Behaving herself totally in front of her mother and not putting on her more USUAL "public face". It's nice to know that she's really in control and CAN "turn it off" when/as needed! Adore Grace, and it was nice that they included her mother in part of the interview.
Her brother is a pretty famous big-time preacher/pastor (Noel Jones) and has been around for years. He will be featured in a new Pastors reality tv show which will be soon.. I forget what it's called. He's been her manager for yrs, too. Surprising, I know..lol!!
@WayseerToday I hear what you are saying but... Her mum looks lovely to me...I mean Grace is like 62 so her mum is like 80 minimum?! Graces mum looks like she in her in her 60's let alone Grace and I bet she was a stunner back in the day.
...it's an awards show for music....smile...she performed PULL UP TO THE BUMPER....while models walked in STELLA McQUEEN outfits....GRACE killed it.....
The white man slid some shade in and i caught it and so did Grace she tried to laugh and clap and play it off... She said we felt absolutely naked without our hats on and he said thank god for that...meaning nobody wants to see yall without hats
Theres a book called "Crowns" Portraits of Black Women in church hats. As well as a Movie based on the book. Its a must see... or have. Its a bible verse... 1 Corinthians 11:15 "But every woman that prayeth or propheseith with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head."
Her travels and she has lived abroad many years...she worked on her English...she has always had some type of accent according to where she was living.
I must applaud Grace Jones on how she's working that hat. It's quite chic. But she's always had lots of style. What I'm really wondering, however, is this video really from 2010? Grace is now in her 60s and I recall seeing her in another interview and, while still quite chic, she didn't quite look like the supermodel she once was. Unless it's the lighting, she almost looks like she lost 30 years!! If it's from 2010 and she's looking this good, more power to her.
There are alledged Divas such as Jennifer Hudson Mariah Carey and others... Then you have Divas which are ok. Then u have TOP FLIGHT UPPER ECHELON DIVAS... GRACE JONES DONNA SUMMER TEENA MARIE CELINE DION CHER JILL SCOTT. THERE ARE OTHERS...NOT MANY. Oh Stevie Knicks..Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart Dusty Springfield Patsy Cline.Aretha Patti Chaka and of course Stephanie Mills and Angela Windbush
I was scared when I'd see Grace Jones when i was about 11. I hope she's a real female bcuz she's a DIVA. If it was a male before it's fucked up bcuz whatever it is its a Diva
TheSeductiveArts I still see lots of hat-wearing women going into church. I love wearing them myself. Maybe it's just certain churches where this occurs; I just don't know for sure.
Dang I know this response is old and I am so sorry. The answer to your question is this, and I can only speak on behalf of the African American community. In biblical times the women would have to cover their head when they went to temple to pray. Also we look at our hats as a crown when we wear them. Last but not least we like to look good. A clean hat ,and outfit can make a person feel confident, and look dam good wearing it because weather what people think bad or good we are still being noticed.
+Blazer Riss mostly older people wear hats for the reasons he/she stated above. the younger crowd not into it. we are also supposed to sit at the back at that time of month in some churches too :). my mom wears a hat. I don't. She wears it for fashion though. my grandma wore it as a must.
And it also African American culture...slaves always worked everyday and wore rags...so when Sunday or church time came they wanted to look different...many people don't feel dressed without a hat.
She is BARKING mad. An identity problem. Interviewed on U.S. television she has this strange American accent...and the accents travels with her !! She just cannot identify herself, and neither can anyone else on this planet. She is a lost void....a vortex with a corridor of infinity. A soul 'snipped' in space !!
People who are bilingual/speak a few languages tend to have mixed or rather ambiguous accents. She speaks 5. And she's not mad, but YOU sound mad in your stupid comment.
Prolinium she speaks multiple languages and has lived abroad for years. Overtime it happens. Tina Turner moved to Europe and never came back, in her 70s nearly 25+ years later she has a slight accent. It happens. Travel, live elsewhere for decades and see how yours changes too perhaps.
My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Jones family since the passing of her mother Marjorie Jones.
I love Grace Jones. I remember her from the 80's, when she came out with that big hit pull up to my bumper. That was a incredible song and a big hit for Grace, even though me and my friends would argue over if she was a man or a woman, I did not care. I loved her music and her style. She was one of a kind! WE LOVE GRACE! For those who don't, that's your issue.

She is so graceful, talented and witty. Lady Gaga should ask how to be like Ms. Jones when going out on a public, ceremonies, giving award or performances.

Being a designer, how could Philip Treacy be seen in those hideous, ill-fitting sunglasses?
youpumpertube because he’s a human being before he’s a designer. Hard to comprehend. I know.
He has always been a risk taker, I guess. He allows himself to make mistakes.
Wow! 🥰❤️
Grace fancies herself a vampire and I almost believe it she's not aging at all
i LOVE YOUR HAT, Grace!
I love that hat!
oh oh oh quelle classe

...it's an awards show for music....smile...she performed PULL UP TO THE BUMPER....while models walked in STELLA McQUEEN outfits....GRACE killed it.....
Грейс как хочется тебя приобнять И просто поговорить😍
Madam Grace owns her fashion, the fashion will never wear her she is far from an accessory 😎
The white man slid some shade in and i caught it and so did Grace she tried to laugh and clap and play it off... She said we felt absolutely naked without our hats on and he said thank god for that...meaning nobody wants to see yall without hats

I love her... where did she get her British accent from?
Her travels and she has lived abroad many years...she worked on her English...she has always had some type of accent according to where she was living.

Where on earth did Grace get that British accent?
+Erica F She lives in London and Paris mainly I think.
She's Jamaican and they're good at mimicking accents.Loll
E W hehe before her.
BITCH,PLEASE! GRACE came way before MADONNA!
E W madonna got it from her actually. When madonna was coming up grace was a very popular performer in the soho art scene
Where did she suddenly get the English accent from? 🤔😏

AWKWARD

So I noticed how Grace just kept right on talking when they were trying to interview her mother, hog the spotlight much???
or maybe she knows how uncomfortable her mom is in the spotlight so shes protecting her? just saying. her mom didn't ask to be famous.
A Rock or maybe they cut to mom while she was mid sentence or maybe 2 of the THREE people asking questions were still talking to her?? 🙄
No she isn’t
Her mom was real dry with the interviewer .
FREAKS! WITH MONEY
why do ppl wear hats for church?.. gonna look that up.
TheSeductiveArts I still see lots of hat-wearing women going into church. I love wearing them myself. Maybe it's just certain churches where this occurs; I just don't know for sure.

Is she stoned all the time?

Prolinium Well when you speak 5 fluent languages and do interviews all over the world you might expect an accent differentiation from time to time
People who are bilingual/speak a few languages tend to have mixed or rather ambiguous accents. She speaks 5. And she's not mad, but YOU sound mad in your stupid comment.
She's being respectful to her hosts.
You don’t know what you are talking about.
😍😍😍😍
Love her
