Completely agree about cover letters , or 'personal statements'. Why does every Job application take 1 to 2 hours - it is so tiring. Applying to jobs is like a full time job in itself ... and that's before the interview stage !!
💯 although I have also realized I think cover letters def help cut back on the number of applicants because it like shows who really “wants it” .. as much as i hate to say that I notice the “easy apply” ones on LinkedIn often have sooo many applicants you will never get seen

I tried it and felt it was a morass. You could talk about your channel, how you approach it, things you've posted. But also how you operate within it, like how you find things you like on there, why you like it etc. It might get more people following you.
