Arc System Works (Arcsys) has recently made Guilty Gear Strive, the latest entry in the Guilty Gear franchise! This fighting game is heralded for its use of Rollback Netcode, included on all platforms Playstation 4 (PS4), Playstation 5 (PS5), and PC (Steam). Recently Arcsys has released a balance update for Guilty Gear Strive Season 2 including a brand new Crossplay Mode!

My dead cat reflexes do not allow me to react fast enough to do an anti air. What's worst, my dumbass brain makes me block LOW for whatever reason. Like idk wtf is wrong with me xD

Practice and knowing when to look for it. It's really hard to react to something that you don't know is coming. Even pros can get conditioned to not expect it.
@@justinthall5909 No, but it is worst than you can imagine. For example, in DBFZ, ppl would sometimes do a double jump on a corner, which my brain "should" have enough time to at least 2H, but noooo, I decide to just wait, and sometimes, I block low. Idk why that is a stupid habit I have lmao
@@RickRodGaming Are you looking for the double jump in the corner? It sounds to me like your mental stack is too big for where you're at right now. For now, only use one option for anti airs. They're also a little harder in anime games since air movement is more tricky.

An anti air does not need to be a DP, and it doesn't need to be invincible. Nearly every character in SFV has a normal move that anti airs
My biggest tip when it comes to playing fighting games is that you should not be focusing too much on your own character. You're the person controlling your character, so you should already have some understanding of where your character is located on the screen and what it is they're doing.
Instead, your eyes should be focused on what your opponent is doing and then take periodic glances at your character to recalibrate your mind on where they are on screen. This makes reacting to just about anything much easier because you have more time to recognize the start-up frames of whatever move is about to come out.
You'll be able to visually recognize when the opponents character bends their knees and jump into the air. Or when the opponent walk up to you and reach their arm out for a throw attempt.
It might sound like common sense, but most people dont even realize that they're focusing too much on their own character. And when you first try to focus on the opponent during matches, you'll find that you have to actively try not to focus back on your own character.

I hate fighting games like guilty gear because you cant even tell what's going on with all the random effects on screen, and the fact you actually need a red circle to point out the anti air and it's still not enough

@@jackg6887 thats not right at all, in gg strive every character has a 6p that its use as an anti air but the move itself is really diff from one char to another, some has a better combo out of it some don't, in fighterz all chars has the exact same antiair 2H and the behaviour of the move is the exact same for all chars

In my opinion Guilty Gear 6p are too strong what's how much priority they have on non-airborn moves. Like when I try to ground K Mistfinder at the beginning of the round the Giovanna 6p right through it and hit me.
