In this video we'll show you how you can repair your wetsuit at home with a few supplies from your local surf shop.
For most most tears you'll want to use a neoprene cement and a patch. If the tear is at a high stress point such as knee, shoulders, and around the zipper you'll also want to use nylon thread to stitch it for reinforcement.
When ironing the neoprene patch keep the iron on low setting and don't use steam.

What type of adhesive are you using?

In this case neoprene cement was used.

Thank you for showing all the difficult, frustrating bits! That way I'll be more realistic, more confident, and less frustrated about my repair attempts.

Hell yea. Actually looked up something because i was rough on my new suits this yr as usual but just getting back in the water after a a while dolled out a good bit extra wear and tear. Being out the loop means Having to pay significantly more for some things and quality rubbers being a must is teaching me to take care of my gear and now how to repair it when the inevitable shat happens. I typed it in and the first few , lets just say i chuckled at. And im no chuckler. Clicked on u and from the get i knew my supply list fir what i was against. Easy to grasp instructions that were detailed in such i grasped the concept of why doing it was necessary. Even saw b4 u mentioned a few things this lesson that could be used in a multitude of situations was actually being given by someone with experience and obviously sucess. Down to doing the patch work on the inside not only for cosmetics but thats what the manufacturer does. Then throwing in if possible glue , stitch and patch was just some words of wisdom for sure cause u don't wana do all this and not spend a extra five minutes only to really regret it as soon as u hit water.
From SE, NC thank ya kindly
