Live at the AOL Sessions he proves that he can do the entire 17 second scream for real!!!!!
I'll check it out 🙂🙂
@@theonlinemusicschoolit’s amazing! If you check it out, I’d love to see your reaction to it!
not only it
RIP Chester such an amzing talent that we will never forget! I had the pleasure of seeing LP live and it was incredible!
Oh I am jealous! That's amazing 🤩
She needs to listen to Jinjer and how Tatiana goes from growls to clean vocals and back again. Great reaction. R.I.P. Chester. 😢
I will definitely put that on the list! Thanks so much, appreciate you! ❤️
The screaming/growling is all about proper technique. Check out Tatiana from Jinjer.
Will do! Thanks man 😊
A vocalist who doesn't understand how vocal fry works..? Can't fault you for not digging the genre, but man the skill is undeniable. Especially with how long his career was without his voice ever being damaged or degraded. There are also more songs that better display his absolutely monstrous range. Also Mike Shinoda deserves an insane amount of credit for how much of the lyricism he wrote for the band. The lyrics are a huge part of what resonates with fans. Hope ya'll give them another shot some day. (:
I think Suzie might need to be exposed to some more LP to fully understand 😜😜😜 glad you enjoy 😁
There's a lot that goes into a healthy scream that I have absolutely no idea how to explain because I have no formal training. Something to do with the vocal folds, false vocal cords and some other stuff (I think that is some of the terminology I've heard tossed around). There are a few reaction channels that I watch that do a really good job putting it into more technical terms from people who are actually trained in opera and stuff like that. lol long story short I can do it but I cant explain it.
Hahaha thanks so much for the info! I can't explain it and I can't do it either 😅😅😅
He was feeling it….depression is what it is.
😔😔😔
Reaction linkin park - qwerty live Tokyo please
Thanks for the recommendation ☺️☺️☺️

In the video, Chester vocals are incredible, he goes back and forth between screaming and singing. he sings like an angel and screams like a demon.
You have to see it👍
yeah that is an amazing recommendation
oh... linkin park... :D
love you guys, your insight and opinions are so precious, thank you :)
maybe try something more soft next time like Foo fighters - Everlong? especially live from wembley 2008
Great suggestion and thanks so much for all the love 💕 we really appreciate it 💓
Chester always took 1 of the in ear pieces out right before he would do one of his screams so he could hear it better. Chester had the ability to sing in a really soft voice and then go to his more harsh vocals with no problems. If you want to see/hear that happen then react to QWERTY live Summer Sonic 2006 because Chester switches back and forth between clean vocals and harsh vocals all throughout the song.
For this song it was written (lyrics only) by Chester just after a very dark time in his life. So Mike just did backing vocals. The song the Catalyst Mike Shinoda is the lead on. But Chester and Mike took turns being lead on songs. During Minutes to Midnight album Chester really encouraged Mike to sing more. In fact they would both record the songs and the band would chose who did the vocals better. Chester knew Mike could sing but Mike wasn't as confident in his singing voice as he was with his rapping. Mike is a really good singer and his confidence in a singing has continued to grow even after Chester passed away.
Thanks for all the info mate! Really appreciate it 😊 and yes, QWERTY has been one of the main recommendations so will have to take a look!! ☺️
ahe should listen to more of his cleaner singing to understand his range
Definitely! He was an absolute generational talent RIP 😭
There’s many singers that have had issues and had to cancel concerts and some that had to get surgeries done to repair damage to their throats and vocal cords,Jonathan Davis from Korn would always being hooked up to oxygen tanks before his set to telex his lungs
Ahhhhh that makes sense, and that's mad isn't it?! 😳
Given Up is from their third studio album, Minutes To Midnight. For me it's a very mixed album without a strong sense of identity to it, where the band experiments in many directions, just trying to get away from their previous sound that they didn't want to get stuck in. It's not my favourite album, but it has many great individual songs.
The Little Things Give You Away from that album is instrumentally a beautiful work of art, and not at all formulaic.
I'd highly recommend listening to their fourth album, A Thousand Suns. Imo their best work, very experimental, where they really find their feet outside their original sound.
Listen to Blackout for example; Chester has rap-like vocals, Mike sings, the song sounds like multiple songs merged, it's absolutely crazy.
For something less crazy, Waiting For The End is a stunning song, one of their best I think.
Mike Shinoda, in addition to rapping, also has songs that he sings on, or sings entirely. He plays the piano, and guitar. He also does production on the songs, and takes part in the visual art.
He was nicknamed "The Glue" because he took part in every aspect of the band, from art to business.
Thank you for reacting to this, it's one of my favourite performances by Chester. And thank you for being honest in your reaction, it's appreciated!
Maybe you could check out their cover performance of Adele's Rolling In The Deep, to see a very different aspect to Chester's vocal capability?
Thanks so much for all the information and feedback! Really glad you enjoyed it! 😁😁
That cover of rolling in the deep was amazing!!! And Linkin Park doesn't do covers!! I'm really jealous of everyone at that show that night!! They got one hell of a treat!!
@@jamesgreer9366 Exactly, what a rare little treat! I'm so glad it was captured in high quality 🔥
@@jamesgreer9366 Yes! I love that ❤
I understand it’s not a genre for everyone but I don’t understand how a vocalist can not understand fry screams, the breath & lung control it takes to sing metal, etc. Even if you don’t like LP, it should be obvious what an amazing singer Chester was
We will rectify this tomorrow.....or at least look into it 😁🤣
Y’all must do some Jinjer reactions!
Check out our latest video 👀👀👀👍👍😁😁😁🤗
Lol, I just registered LP when Chester has been gone. Are you guys in the 50ies too?
😂😂😂😂😂
@theonlinemusicshool Every Scream (and Growl) that is considered "healthy" is performed with the "false vocal-cords". From my understanding, these are the ones that affect ventilation/pressure management, like burps for example. they are located right above the "true" vocal cords. there are countless studys about screaming/fry-screams/growls and so on, even with endoscopic cameras, to visualize whats happening. If youre interested, and even if its "just" for the cause, take a swing over to "the charismatic voice" (no ad). She does explain it quite clear, and has commited years to fully understand and be able to explain whats happening if someone uses this kind of "harsh" vocals.
The reaction itself: well. it was ok, I dont think I am allowed to judge how someone feels/thinks about the content hes/shes consuming. What I am allowed tho is to say that Im sorry for her that it didnt appeal.
Thanks so much for the feedback, really appreciate it ☺️☺️☺️
Now show her 'The Messenger' by Linkin Park.
Cheers from the sun licked desert oasis of Phoenix, Arizona! 😎🤙
Glad you enjoy, appreciate you dude 😎
In headphones you can hear what you actually sound like better in real life because how you sound to yourself is different than what other people hear that’s why musicians wear headphones in the studio recording
Cheers man 😁😁😁
Check out one more light linkin park
Thanks for the recommendation 😃
I think it would be really cool if you guys reacted to qwerty by linkin park, the live version in Tokyo. They just put it up on their CZcams channel a few days ago.
Must get around to this cos it has been suggested loads!
@@theonlinemusicschool cool 😎, I'll be looking forward to it.
Does the man on the right have horns??!
They should listen to Greg Puciato - the singer from Dillenger Escape Plan and now Better Lovers...best voice in metal at the moment.
😂😂😂 thanks for the recommendation buddy! 😄
7:47 the most DIABOLICAL pause ever!
😝😝😝😝 I couldn't agree more!
plz if u can react to live in texas a place for my head together . u'll thank me later ahahaaha
Well add it to the list 🤠 thanks mate 😁
Think the rock am ring 2004 is better imo
Kroq 2003 is the best version in my opinion @jackprior3572
A great one for her to see would be QWERTY but the live one not the studio one
This has been a popular suggestion, thanks man!! 😄
Listen to QWERTY next by Linkin Park
It's on the list 😂😂😂😎
Chester was an absolutely amazing vocalists. For something probably more your speed please check out Linkin Park's cover of Adele's song "Rolling in the Deep" here on yt. It's quite spectacular.
Thanks for the recommendation ☺️☺️
Im pretty sure the "allllllllllll" is an A note
Thankyou 😀👍👍👍
It takes similar training as opera vocals to learn how to sing the rock 'scream'
I thought so, it is definitely an art within itself 😁
The 17 second sream should convert any non-believer!
I couldn't agree more 😂 💯
Do you guys listen to the lyrics or just voices
We do try to do both 🤣🤣
😂😂🙌🙌👏🇧🇷🇧🇷😎!!!
😊😊😊
NIce reaction,i loved it,please check itunes festival 2011 Breaking the habit, one of their best show ever, plus they played rolling in the deep adele song :D Subscribed :D

Quick someone show the lady jinjer 😂😂😂
I'm not sure what this means 🤔
@@theonlinemusicschool the group with a female lead they're called jinjer

Glad you enjoyed 😁
You started the reaction stating that you didn't like the band? Really? Why do it
I like them but I'm introducing Suzie to a lot she wouldn't normally listen to to try and convert her 😊
You should have moved her hand bro!!! That pause sucked!! And I'm not one to bitch about pauses!!
I know 😂😂😂😂😂
only comment is pause less and how dare you pause during the 17 second scream. i cant sub after that.
