It's time for our RCO competitors to take on Harold, the "evil" rock chuck. This 4' tall, AR500 steel target stands against the ridge line 1,280 yards away. Can the competitors rise to the occasion? This is Rifle ELR. Check out the video!

I have the feeling the 6mm Arc had a low ES and held the vertical better than the Creed and the AR was just a fire and hope which may have done better with a 90 Berger lol

Hard to get those to do this stuff. It can be done but it's a fight.
I think the window should’ve been shifted. Say a 338, 300, or 7mm first for good splash, then the creed, and then the arc. 223 was just pissin in the wind. I’ve shot a 16” out to 800 a few times and with any wind it’s an exercise in futility.

The AR was thrown in there just to kill hopes and dreams....showing how ridiculous it is to shoot 55's at that range. Thank you.
I think all the different events and strengths of the different competitors show how important the mechanics of shooting are.
This is like watching an entire football game for the game to finish 3-0... A more realistic course of fire with more impacts would've made for a little better content imo.
The editing of them talking was strange since they give away what was going to happen with the 6.5 and .223 info way before the finish of the video

Look very closely at Harrold's 'gun hand' forearm at 44:28. Something happens. I'm thinking Who'tee either hit the forearm or juuuussssstttt missed underneath it.

That was a waste of 5.56 ammo at that distance. Was surprised of no 6.5 CM hits. The 6 ARK seemed to be a good choice. Would have liked seeing the misses more to see how close they were to the target

I was told to Not lift or carry a rifle by the scope... doing that could damage the scope. Not sure if that's true or not.

Well, Unfortunately so far this seems like a poorly designed stage. You need to have good data and be able to see splash or this is purely a crapshoot. Also given that everyone can see the scope adjustments made by the previous shooters there is an significant advantage to the later shooters. I'm sure there are going to be many lessons learned for the next Rock Chuck Olympics. Still really enjoy the channel and think this could be an amazing yearly event.
Looked like a saw ammo being staged in direct sunlight ? For sure didnt do them any favors.

Great video of top shooters shooting 1280 yds w/ three different guns. The loud-mouth commentators talking over the shots was a major distraction & I would say rather disrespectful to the sport & the shooters!!! FREE

Hard shots specially with that semi-auto. They probably would've made more shots ifJohn would stop talking so much.
You'd get more views if you had all these guys on to talk at length about their specific specialties rather than watching them shoot. Nice try but I don't think this type of content is in your wheelhouse.
