Love this video Kristen! At least a couple times a week I get emails or comments from my followers asking me how I travel for a living/work with brands etc. I tell them that I have made many choices and sacrifices in my life that have allowed me to "live the dream". They see the pretty photos and the travels around the world, but they often fail to see or recognize the hard work that goes into it. They tell me I'm lucky (which is true to a degree) but often don't think to acknowledge the hustle. I've been travel blogging since 2008, so my successes are hard won! And while fate and circumstances have played a role, I have actively manifested my destiny and worked my butt off to prove to brands and sponsors that I am worth their time, money, and consideration! Now that I'm trying to make the move from travel blogging to travel vlogging, I'm so happy to have great role models like you, Nadine, and Audrey. And all fellow Canadians to boot! Keep up the great work and keep inspiring.
This is our dream and videos like this is what motivates us more and more to achieve it. No matter what you love to do in life, when you find it, it's a pretty incredible feeling! Yas

Great editing on this one. We're still trying to figure out the balance of editing and traveling. We travel pretty often, but I don't set aside time to edit the vlogs during the travel (it's hard for me to take myself away from the adventure to sit on the computer). It is pretty funny how people think you gotta be rich to travel... But no. You work your butt off, do the numbers, and go, even if sometimes with a tighter budget than you would wish. I love doing this magic :D Congrats on following your dreams!

awesome video. you can do so much in just a day. we go on tons of short trips. for example, this upcoming weekend we are going to new york for 24 hours. my husband, who is a flight attendent has a 24 layover and I am coming with him. its short, but you still have time to do tons :)

Some people just pay a price for being honest and straight forward while other have freedom to do and get whatever they want.

I think I'm starting with my own country, wich happens to be Germany, small steps. I've been living in 3 places for some period of time and all of them feel very different. I think there is way more to discover in this small country. And then I'm going to visit some of our neighbours one after another till I've got enogh money for bigger trips. Hello kristan, I am trying to turn my channel into a travel channel as well, I already hired an editor for the channel, But I am having difficulty having someone to shoot my videos. A professional videographer who travels with me constantly is too expensive, friends who I meet on the trip are not professional enough. How did you over come this problem when you first started? Also, most of the strangers/ friends who I first met are reluctant for me to shoot videos with them, so It's hard for me to get videos of myself around people...
I love this video so much. I feel like it's different than your usual content but it's beautiful (self promo: I make travel videos as well! I spent my summer studying and backpacking in europe!)
