Ive worked at whole foods. For the most part it is completely overpriced, and they also use confusing terms to make their food seem more healthy than it actually is.
edoh all I know is whole foods has the cheapest dragon fruit in my area for $3.85 a fruit to make some protein shakes with.

That’s why I shop at Aldi. Great quality, half the price, still in date, and not many preservatives etc. still have to watch some labels but not too bad.

Are the whole food tomatoes actually better? Did you know they get their produce from Mexico sometimes? So does the 99c store. Are they actually organic? Get them tested. As for the cake, they never said whether they bought the cake or made it, if they did make it, the ingredients are just butter, flour and sugar, they had the same chance to taste the same, they didn't. People are deluded about health and nutrition.

The only difference is the type of preservative they put on the fruit and vegetables. The more expensive places they put a waxy coating which preserves the item for a lot longer. That is the only difference unless they have a farmers section from an actual local farm.
