- After 6 months of content creation and many speedrun world records, I've learned a lot about this game. So here's 20 things you may or may not know about Raft.

I don’t know if anyone mentioned it, but catfish isn’t worse than salmon. The picture you put up was of raw catfish rather than cooked catfish. Cooked catfish is actually identical to cooked salmon hunger-wise.
Calling the Shark anything else other than Bruce is what's really blowing my mind.

I didn't know the Shark wouldn't attack your raft if you weren't on it. This wasn't always the case. Way back when large islands were first introduced it was possible to come back to a half destroyed raft. It's this reason why I always get enough metal to armor my raft before I go to large islands. But now I don't have to. Thanks.
The shark do attack the raft when you are not on it, it ate several pieces when I was on the island with the city under the dome with my son yesterday... :( same today when we were at the construct island.. -.- we were gonna take out the big shark boss and the raft was damaged when we got back to it -.-
It’s probably because you were on the island but still close enough to your raft for the shark to trigger, try parking a littler farther away from any island you are going to explore and this will not happen

Catfish seem to do the same as salmon. You showed the raw stats, not the cooked ones. I noticed as you ate it your thirst didn't go down as fast as it should have if 10 thirst was consumed every bite.
While you audio quality is a bit ruff, you have a amazing commentary voice and have very good scripts for your videos, keep it up!

Scrap duck is so rare? 🤯 I got 2 of that before completing the story mode and I started playing raft at the start of this month so your videos helped a lot ❤️💕

That last bit about the firework is disappointing. As soon as you said it, i got hyped to produce a bunch and go hunting, and then immediately let down by the idea that nothing useful can be killed by them. It would finally give us a real reason to produce fireworks during survival mode
I wish they would at least open it up to screechers. Those things deserve every weapon available
The dedication on your channel is just insane
6:44 in declaring catfish worthless, you bring up the info card for RAW catfish. Raw salmon I believe has the same poor effect, while cooked catfish I think has the same beneficial effect as cooked salmon. I haven't tested, but this is what the wiki says also.

One more random fact - the 5 paintings (2:25) you referred to as "weird art deco style" are actually in the "cubist" style, a style made famous by Picasso. Not sure what you will do with this information, but hey.

I have never seen anyone else use or comment on something I found out about navigation. You can get to any destination by going in the opposite direction. Helpful, I guess for new people heading for Balboa for the first time and want to save wood.
Good point- the receiver has a max read distance, and it will shift story islands if you get too far out of the range to make them always accessible!

I didn't know about Pet rocks (0:37), Rarity of the Scrap Duck (1:58) as I had fished out 2, Info on Decoration Packages (2:44), Paddle speed info (3:39), the meaning behind the street sign (4:42) though the word did not post in video (would've been neat to show the blueprint for), Eels (5:49), Unstuck change (6:57), the Fireworks being usable even with Friendly Fire turned off (8:06)
Though I was aware of Schools of Fish (1:12), Floating Islands (1:33), Paintings (2:16), the Vasagatan info (3:01), Dev Items (3:13). Max Speed (4:05) due to prior video on this channel, Engine Capacity (4:22), Other tree harvesting (4:56), Shark aggro info (5:12), Fish (6:10), Cassettes (7:22) & Rock Damage (7:52)

Really funny how you said, "Vasagatan". Its, probably as you know, a swedish street name and you pronounce it "Vaaasa gaaataaan", or google translate is pretty accurate about the translation

I have a scrap duck in one of my peaceful worlds (it’s actually the one where I made the most progress) I had no idea until now that it was the rarest fishing items

I Wish eels were still in the game. It would add a new threat to exploring and would offer up some cool items, Like an Eel head, and probably Vinegoo like the Anglers. Maybe even Eel meat.
This was a super enjoying video! I really enjoyed it and learned much from it. I have recently started playing raft and I am already in love with it. Also, I play raft on my schoollaptop, so I don't really have good fps even with the tab half closed. Do you know some tips to improve your fps in raft?
Generally, water is the big culprit for me. I tend to play with water on fast, and that helps quite a bit! If nothing else, I'd investigate the "Better FPS" mod

I think Redbeet wanted to make game as realistic as possible. This might be the reason why eel is not in the game: Because it doesn't exist irl.

Oh man that eel looks like it would terrify me, especially if it was to be an ambush enemy in reefs. Kind of glad it got cut.

I chop birch tree by accident yesterday. I thought its just a bug, but i get 1 sapling.I was afraid to plant it coz i dont want to loose my world. now i know my raft is safe, already have 4 sapling. thankz again for the great content

I remember getting a scrap duck the first time I fished in my raft world. It felt incredible.
I think it's funny how every time you make the intro your in the ocean
i'm now doing a playthrough with a friend after having played before release by myself, i didn't even realise they were this rare but she caught the duck in first 4 hours of the playthrough, as well as a shoe and in a later session caught another shoe. only now do i find out how rare these items actually are...

The scrap duck being that rare seems a little weird. I'm not saying you're wrong I'm just saying my experience is a little different. Granted on the game I am currently playing I only have one but I remember a year or 2 ago, back when I first started playing this game, I caught like 5 of those things in a 10 minute timeframe. I remember because I was starting to get pissed off because I was starving and I was pulling up nothing but old shoes and the scrap ducks lol

Raft should add rocks and bushes and trees (not in crop plots) and such to decorate and make a "living raft" or "raft island".

there is one that you probably do not know about Raft. there is a secret chest at the VERY top where the antenna are at the secret yacht.

Wait, the scrap duck is rare? I have gotten so many of him, literally every room in my raft has a duck "employee" lol 😂 after a while I started just dumping them overboard, disappointed that the "scrap duck" could not be scrapped into the recyclers
Where do you get the OP golden stick?
You'll either need a mod menu or console commands to get any of the dev items. They're not meant for survival sadly

So I want to ask the dev if the lucky cat has a secret too it because it took me 12 hours straight fishing to get it I know it was unlucky but as soon as I got the lucky cat and placed near where I fish I started getting scrapped ducks and lucky cats like every 15 mins I have like 7 lucky cats and 4 scrap ducks now
