Krayzie Bone may be the most talented rapper out there. Dude can sing and has super technical rap skills. He doesn't get the credit he deserves and people forget that he had hits too. His Thug Mentality album went platinum and even years later he did Ridin' Dirty with Chamillionaire, which is a slept on verse and a classic song!

Iâm glad you did this over the regular version, this version of the song is much better without ads Brat. Da Brat is cool and all but she wasnât right for this song. Thereâs an important solo Krayzie Bone song that I think would be cool for you to react to, itâs called âMoâ Murderâ. Not to be confused with the song âMo Murdaâ by the whole group which you already reacted to. And also not to be confused with a different solo Krayzie Bone song called âMurda Moâ which is from his debut solo album. They have quite a few songs that share that song title but with slight variations. The one Iâm talking about is titled âMoâ Murderâ and itâs from the album âMo Thugs Family Scripturesâ.
Mo Thugs was the label Bone started after they blew up. There was a few different groups and rappers from the same part of Cleveland that Bone was from, and they were all really cool with each other. All together they are a clique called the Mo Thugs Fanily. They had sort of a thing with each other where whoever was the first ones from the neighborhood to blow up and become successful, go back to Cleveland and scoop up the rest of the bunch and put them on too. Bone happened to be the ones from the neighborhood to blow up first, so they went and got the rest. Bone blew up in 1994 and had their debut album Creepin On Ah Come Up. Then their second album E. 1999 Eternal came out in 1995 and made them even more successful, which was also the year Eazy died. The last song from that album âShotz To Tha Double Glockâ was a posse cut that featured 2 of the other groups from Mo Thugs. Then in 1996 they officially went to work on Mo Thugs and put out the first Mo Thugs album, Family Scriptures. That album had songs from the whole Mo Thugs family on it. Krayzie, Layzie, and Flesh were heavily involved with it and Krayzie and Layzie were featured on many of the songs on that album. Krayzie had a solo song on the album, which is âMoâ Murderâ, the song Iâm suggesting a reaction to. So that song was the very first solo Krayzie Bone song that ever came out. It wasnât the first one he ever made (the song I mentioned âMurda Moâ from his solo debut album in 1999 was the first one he wrote). So âMoâ Murderâ from Family Scriptures wasnât technically the first solo song he created, but it was the first one that ever came out and the first solo Krayzie song that fans ever got to hear. The song is pretty experimental and very highly progressive. I personally think itâs almost a genre-less song. Thereâs one brief verse that he actually raps, but the majority of the song is just kinda freeform singing. It doesnât follow a traditional Hip-Hop song layout, itâs sort of free and unbound. Up until that point, Krayzieâs approach was pretty straight forward for Boneâs standards. But once he put out that song it kinda opened up Pandoraâs box and he started experimenting a lot of different melodies and besides and vocal layering. Itâs dope, itâs a song that everyone considers a gem.
If you do ever react to this, thereâs 2 things I think you should keep in mind. 1 is that itâs definitely the type of song you listen to for how it sounds rather than whatâs in the lyrics. Itâs like a lot of Bone songs where lyrically, itâs the same sort of gangsta talk that Bone typically stuck to back in those days. But sonically it sounds hypnotic and like something you can just sit back and vibe to. And 2, I know you donât use headphones for the reactions so itâs be best to have it as loud as you are able to go because all the little details in the sound make a difference, Krayzie always does his own background vocals and the way he layers them always sounds incredible.
