- In this Flight Attendant Life vlog, I show you what a Flight Attendant Reserve schedule can be like. It has been a stressful few days for me due to the unknown nature of my schedule this month. In this vlog I take you to "Airport Standby" for my 6 hour shift. And I also bring you along with me on a trip that I got called out for at 2:40AM by Crew Scheduling.

Great Vlog as always! Stay in Miami. Commuting is awfully stressful, especially with all the issues that are going on nowadays. Then u may have crash pad drama too! Living in ur base city is always the best option, and coming home to John, Mia, and Gio.
Francesco and John, you are so lucky to have Target. A few years ago they closed all the Targets in Canada. I miss it so much. Love your new door mat. Oh such a long day for you.

Glad your doing well Francesco! Yeah, you should try transferring to another base to shake it up a bit. Recently I've been flying a lot to Europe out of JFK and the crews are AAmazing and extremely courteous. Good luck with your decision. Lots of hugs!
That depends on you. Commuting can be a struggle. You could watch "Court Too Fly" and some other channels. It's whatever you feel comfortable doing.

Great Vlog Francesco. I am planning a trip to Paris and France for next August. I am definitely hitting up the grocery stores.
Nice vlog Francesco with you and John doing your Target shopping and I see you are quoting Legally Blonde Red, White and Blonde lol. And as for inquiring about changing your base that is something that you should think about because it is a big change but you have to do what feels right in your heart. I like the outfits from Stitch Fit I always think about the combinations they put together. A few more days and you and John are off on your cruise yayyyy and your birthday I love it. Get some rest and you and John take care.
Thank you for sharing. I am glad you two with the little ones are doing well. Hahaha! You made me laugh about crew scheduling. Well, the London trip would have been nice but you did not go. Then your second trip would have been ok but still not going anywhere. Crazy as it was but at least you were ready to go anywhere! But I am glad you got a trip on your one day available. When I use to be on airport stand-by, I use to hate walking from our base area all the way back over to concourse "B" at our O'Hare International Airport. Those were some long walks that I use to do slowly normal.!! You enjoy being off for two days.

You do get some good international trips from MIA, you should stay there. It's an easy commute for you as well. I watch other FA channels who commute and it seems stressful. You'd either be sleeping in the crew lounge, getting a hotel or a crash pad.

Winters in Boston or Chicago are challenging for commuting. Looks like you guys are getting settled in your new place.
Commuting seems stressful. I also follow Jetset with Jess, another MIA based FA for AA and when she was commuting to NY it seemed like she sometimes had to find housing on her own. Could be better trips but it would stress me out! Love your vlog.
Commuting sucks and yea housing situation can suck and get expensive.

Do what you think is right for you. If you wanna switch base, then go for it. I hate doing reserve too, it's very stressful. Fortunately, with my seniority, I don't need to do it any more.

I was going to say that John looked tired today!!...Mia was soooo cute leaning back with her little white "teefers" showing!! From watching Court Too Fly she commutes and she doesn't say much but it seems to be a hassle at times...when there are delays getting in to her base and she was hoping to catch a certain flight to make it home. Also, how do you do Reserve if you were to end up in Chicago?...you said Boston didn't have Reserve?...then would you have to fly in the night before and early morning flight and pay out of pocket for your room?...do a list of the pros and cons...stay safe and hugs to John, Mia and Gio!!

Always great vlogs. Do you get paid the same when you are on standby as you do when you are flying? Don’t live in a different place than your home base. The travel gets stressful and wears you down. Keep building seniority so you have to do reserve less.

I agree with everybody else in here, I don’t think you should commute because it’s so stressful and time consuming. I am sure you get plenty of international trips from Miami. Your little Mia is so precious! She’s a snuggle bunny❤️👍✈️

Go to BOS! I’m not an FA or know anything about AAs base there (lol) but I’m from Boston, so I’m biased. Plus, there’s so many options to commute there from South Florida (AA, B6, NK, F9, DL)!

I liked the last outfit-button down and pineapple shorts. The shorts could be a little bit shorter about 2 inches.
Don’t do it. I’d gladly sit reserve at home over commuting for trips. Commuting sucks, esp during peak travel seasons. Then when you plan it out; your trip gets delayed and you miss your flight home. You have to sit around hours to MAYBE get of the next flight, fly two hrs, then drive home. Trust me; stay based where you live.
How about both suck, commuting and reserve.
Dear Francesco, give it a very good thought! Reserve could by stressful and boring, but commuting could be worst.
If you're transfering basis and start commuting you will be giving up your peace of mind and your work life balance!
MIA is your home, it is where you have your beautiful family and your handsome John!!!
Don't give up what you have built for something else you'll regret sooner or later.
I'm hard broken just listen that you are thinking about transfering basis!!!
Go to whatever city if you and John are going together if not stay where you are now.
Living in a crashpad could not be compered to the confy of your own place with your love ones.
I live in SJO but years ago I worked for EA & AA, MIA, for me is home away from home for many reasons.
And I'll never give up the blessings of living with my partner or love ones because of my job, it's not worth it.
Hope this give you some light, at the end you'll be making your own decision, give it a very good thought!!!
I follow FA's & Pilots that are not blessed living in their base and they have to face a lot of troubles!!!!
Do your research on commuting. FL is very popular. Talk to those that have similar seniority with the same commute. The good news is you have both FLL and MIA to choose from.

I work at the Ollies Retail store and my boss messed up my schedule, so last week he only had me work 3 day out of the whole week and now he has me working 2 days for this week and payday is this Friday coming up .

Francesco currently a commuter to NYC and don’t recommend at all. If you can stay put in Miami and it is your home don’t do it. It’s a nightmare.

Crew scheduling play you badly they should of let you go to do a London trip and then they took you off that trip and then they tried to send you to Boston then they took you off that trip I think you should move out of Florida if you want more trip but Boston gets very cold in the winter times
