Crawled into church this Sunday. Spent an hour and a half on my knees knowing that my head should be in my heart. And my heart in heaven. I crawled out with hope in my pocket and this song on my mind. Perhaps I am closer to heaven than I was yesterday. Maybe we all are…
Along with the beautiful harmonies, the hallelujah perfectly punctuates this song of assurance with the paying of respect to its giver. Thank you Wailin' Jennys.
The first time I ever saw Ruth Moody was when I was about six or seven at Robert Browning.. she's my old music teacher's daughter and she has such a beautiful voice!
HOLY CRAP! That was an AMAZING! Today is the FIRST day I HAVE ever EVEN heard of this GORGEOUS Folk/Bluegrass Song which I stumbled upon on PandoraDotCom on the Bluegrass Station I recently created on there. I ONLY recently got into Bluegrass. I've been a Country Music Fan since I was 11yrs old and now I'm 28. :)
One of my favorites. If the Jennys come to your town, you MUST see them. They are amazing. Then buy all of their CDs after the show, and get one signed by them. (No I don't work for the Jennys; I just love 'em to death. Abd thanks so much for making my morning commute bearable. Just great music, period.)
wow - just discovered this lot uplifting to the heart I'm as peeved by some oft he things done in the name of religion as the next guy but the way I've come to feel it when you sing a hallelujah, and you really lean into it with all your heart like Leonard Cohen or kd lang or rufus wainright singing Leonard's song or any body any where in some tiny 4 walled country church down a dirt road it's just about love and feeling a sense of wonder and belonging A'hm gittin' the new album for Christmas!
I love these gals for the sweet sweet music they make.. but, also, my mother who passed on April 1 2013 also loved them.. I am an atheist.. but, i think of my mother when I play these songs.. and I cry!
i was more than happy to purchase Live @ the Mauch Chunk Opera House on itunes. i caught your act on AtPn last night. i was floored upon hearing Glory Bound.

One of my favorite Wailin' Jennys tunes--Ruth has such a beautiful voice, and it's so soothing to listen to.

Driving home from visiting ill Mom tonight, heard Canada Live program featuring this group. Uplifting is all I can say. Thanks for this video.
They are amazing. I'm ashamed I never heard them perform live and they're from my city. Then again, I bet I'd cry if I heard them.
Is there anything more beautiful than good vocal harmony and simple instrumentals?
No
Beautiful. What a live performance.
Wonderful.
Truly wonderful.

The best live show I think I've ever seen was the Wailing Jenny's. Perfection.:o)

Ashlee Johnson - Yes, The Jennys! It always seems that the best are heard the least. But they’re reaching the right hearts.

I just noticed this is from Newton. makes me so sad, I'm only 20 miles away, I wish I'd known!
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Please come to Houston Tx and play at the House of Blues or the Austin City limits that's only a 3 hour drive.
great music
If this doesn't uplift your spirits, then I am truly sorry for your deep despair.
I read this somewhere before so I won't claim first. Ruth Moody is the most beautiful girl in the world.
I second that. I can find a third, fourth and fifth to add to that.
come to Oklahoma!!
Just got the same bass, long way Toto sound like her.

Does music get any better really?
