me sitting here with Manuka honey on my face before I even knew this video existed *proud*
Same!
@@luckyDancer100 Same here for me too!
How long do you leave it on your face and how often do you treat yourself to that? I use it once every week or so particularly after I cleanse my skin
Lmao same
Hahaha yes same 😂
I’m a NICU nurse and we use Manuka honey on our premie babies who have very fragile skin with wounds. Works amazingly
I was about to comment this. We always dress omphaloceles with manuka honey dressings pre-surgical repair. Extravasating injuries too!
I'm amazed some medical staff in fact uses Manuka honey based product. Are you from America ?
Hi! I am endocrinologist and at hospital we use rosemary honey for diabetic foot ulcers, and it works great
no way!! that is so cool
Rosemary lowers blood sugar levels
Thank you!
Wow, can you tell me please what country is that hospital is and how to contact it ?
When buying Manuka Honey always look for either the MGO or UMF rating. Here’s what they mean:
MGO 250+ and above, or UMF 10+ and above is considered to be “medicinal grade”.
oh great! thx
Do you know any legit brands? thank you
Thank you so much for the information!
Lisa T. You’re welcome.😊
sunnynova6 Bee Natural (MGO) and Comvita (UMF) are good legit Manuka honey brands. You can get them on Amazon etc. I buy Comvita (UMF 15+) and it’s great. Have a nice day!😊
Manu ka honey was a wound saver for me! After abdominal surgery; I had several places in the suture line that opened and just would not heal /close. I got medical grade Manuka honey bandages and a gel in a tube from CVS and started using it. 24 hours after the first application, I noticed such a change that I started taking pictures every day. Within days, all had closed completely. I just couldn’t believe it, and told everyone I could about it!
Same! I have autoimmune and psoriasis, so wounds heal slowly and tend to get infected easily. Manuka honey is amazing for healing cuts but also great for acne and scars. I use as a face mask 2x weekly and really enjoy.
Can u post a link to what you used? I’m interested in that as well
Same! My brother was in a bad accident and had a degloving of his thigh (don’t look it up). Manuka honey healed his skin so much quicker than he expected. He ordered it by the jar.
You have such a beautiful smile Andrea. It's so bright and expressive. I think God wanted me to see this video today. I had a bad removal of my nexplanon, the pa made a bigger cut than needed and instead of the usual 3 mm incision, it's at least a centimeter in length. It also required a stitch which is significant because it almost never needs a stitch. I was upset because of how big the scar is probably going to be but then I remembered that I watched this video and remembered your other video advising to keep cuts moisturized to reduce scarring this morning and felt comforted that my bad decisions may not have such bad consequences because you brought this to my attention. Thank you so much, you've given me such great advice for acne and now you've helped my scar issues
Peaches Skin Care channel loves to promote Manuka Honey and Im a BIG fan! Love the thunder in the background. Thanks for sharing today 💕
I have been doing a daily Manuka honey mask since April to help my skin as I started using tretinoin for acne and it has worked wonders! I love Manuka masking, leave it for 10/15 min and it really has softened my skin and healed old scars too
That's awesome!! What brand did you use?? Can you post a link??
Its been a year but which manuka do you use?
Thank you for your patience!! I use Wedderspoon Raw mono floral Manuka Honey KFactor-16. Now I let it sit for 30min to an hour if I have time, 2/3 times a week and I still notice a huge difference. Good luck!
I used to work in long term care and the wound RN often used Manuka in addition to routine wound care protocol with the elderly residents for debriding and to promote healing chronic wound management. I've literally seen it work with my own eyes. Very valuable, altho a bit expensive certainly worth it.
As always Dr D , thank you. Cheers from Vancouver Canada
works well! hope you are having a good Monday!
In addition if you manually gonna blend a t.spoon of Manuka honey with 30 drops of bee propolis extracts and apply, the process of healing expedites dramatically.
Hey Dr. Dray! As it turns out, you were so right about fragrance. I didn't even realize that people with fibromyalgia and other diseases could develop a fragrance sensitivity!
it is a problem for many people
CC Tim I have it. It can cause Migraines also. I have Fibromyalgia/ CFS. I can’t be around anyone with perfume or use fragrance myself.
Yes, fragrance is truly awful! I still have a few products that I am using up that contain fragrance and I can see a massive difference on my skin when I use fragranced products vs non fragranced. My skin is always red, irritated, almost hurting when I use fragranced products, not to mention stingy eye area, I used to think that my skin was just extremely sensitive because I always had a reaction like this after applying fragranced products and never linked it to the fragrance.... now I can finally see a real difference !
Never thought of this, so true!!!
Thank you for
Sharing the product! Would love to incorporate the moisturizer in my skin care routine in the future as I have eczema!
Have been following your advice for 3 days now and already I'm starting to see that my oily skin is being controlled, my pimples are clearing up and my dry/oily skin has started to balance out. ♥️ Thanks heaps for the great expert advice!
I was just looking for this information yesterday. Thank you Dr.Dray!
I discovered you not too long ago and I love you! You are my favorite! I'm obsessed with skin care (particularly Asian-Kbeauty, Jbeauty) and have always been an ingredient reader. Your knowledge is beyond value and you're adorable!
Thanks again for an informative video. Loved your reaction to the noise
i've been curious about manuka honey for a few years now, so I was very excited to watch Dr Dray do her thing on it :)
Awesome info! Definitely sharing this! Thanks so much.
Dr. Dray is such an extraordinary dermatologist, I really wish she was my derm… well I don’t really have that many skin issues anymore, but still! Lol Dr. Dray I am sending positive vibes your way ✨✨☺️
I use raw honey daily as a leave on cleanser/mask for around 30 mins after removing my makeup and it has helped reduce my Seb Derm/ Fungal acne without the strong steroid creams! Also noticing an improvement in hormonal spots as a side benefit. Love it!
Wet or dry face?
My Mum had extremely deep bed sores that wouldn’t heal, really terrible. Nothing would help and eventually hospital used honey infused coverings on wounds. They healed in about 6 weeks
that is great to hear!! bed sores are stubborn to treat
wow :(
Hey Dr Dray. Watching you from New Zealand 🇳🇿Coromandel. Great to see a splash of NZ on your awesome channel. I’ve learned so much from you . Thank you 👏👌
I'm thrilled you discussed Manuka honey, i Googled Dr Dray and Manuka Honey and this came up. Thank you.
I've been waiting on this video. Thank you so much!!
Happy Monday, Dr Dray! I think I've mentioned this before but we use Manuka honey for wound care at the animal hospital I work at. We use dressings infused with it and also in a tube. It works wonders! I hope you have a fantastic evening! 💜
Love Dr Dray! Wonder if she would ever asses and review the line of skin care from naturopathica.
Dr. , Dray your videos are always eerily timely. I was using my Manuka honey (820+ MGO) as a mask this morning for the third time ever.😊
i use the Earth to Skin manuka honey serum from walmart. & i love it so much!
I just purchased an oil with this honey in it and I must say it really makes my skin look better. I am really trying to simplify my skin routine. Thanks 🙏
Thank you for this video Dr. Dray, stay dry!
Love you Dr Dray !
God bless you
Thanks for saving my skin ❤️
Awesome thank you! I grabbed both the cream and the ointment you mentioned (in stock soon). I've heard about it before but when your video popped up I knew it was legit :)
I have never liked the feeling of it on my fingers so I don't feel tempted to try it on my skin. I know most "holistic" people like to use it, it is good to know for them.
Love this breakdown Dr Dray
I'm so thankful for your channel. Aside from all the good advice, you personality is so much fun and watching your videos gives me a feeling of stability. Thank you for all you do.
I didn’t know all of the benefits-but I do now. I’m off to amazon...thank you.
Dr.Dray, I love your "HEY GUYS" and of course your amazing tips! Is it good to apply raw aloe to face? Thank you!
Oh, honey!! Love this. 😉 Thanks Dr. Dray!!
Honey works great on my face. I love it!
I use it as a mask (sometimes mixed with colloidal oatmeal) and as a face wash! Love it!
Can you use it as a daily face wash?
I use weekly since I have a picking my skin issue. Helps dry out alot. Mine comes from New 🇳🇿
I heard about it a couple years ago by watching youtubers use it; I bought it on Amazon and it made my skin sosososoo soft! Not sure, how much it healed my acne (I think I need to use it more often to see the benefits), but it definitely had an immediate softening affect.
I like the background, it seems nice!
Love when the natural community n scientific/ medical community come together
I love when writers have a subject in their sentence. Commonly, we begin sentences describing what we feel with the subject pronoun ''I''. People who want to sound phony will not use a subject pronoun.
@@ps18919hating ahh 😭
Great video! Could you do a video on cucumber in skin care and if you recommend any diy skincare using cucumber? Also green tea and matcha green tea in skincare and any diy recommendations with these? Thanks!
happy monday dr dray.......thank u so much for ur videos...its very helpfull and informative also..
Hi, Dr. Dray! Would love to hear your take on subcision for rolling and box scars. 😍
Happy Monday! I got a nasty rope burn on my foot last year. I saw a clinician and was surprised she recommended using honey on the wound. Healed nicely
it is great for healing
Can't get enough of your facial expressions....love the look
Greetings from new Zealand Dr Dray, I have a manuka Honey Skincare Company 15 minutes from where I live and it has a shop attached, manuka Honey makes my skin feel so good 🐝
That's amazing, I just started using it yesterday on my skin. I PRAY IT WORKS 😁
Yes!! I love honey 🍯 I was really hoping that someone like you would discuss the benefits of it in skincare! ❤️
What are your thoughts on the Peach and Lily soothing cleanser?
Dr. Dray, Your skin is glowing today! Thank you for all the great information you share! ❤
Dr dray you are BEAUTIFUL! Thank you for all the videos. Some day I hope we can meet up for a cup of coffee ☕️
Can we please have an update on your mom. We miss her.
I use the melora products and they are great!
I bought the Earth to Skin Manuka Honey day gel and have cystic acne and very sensitive skin… this stuff is amazing!! I’m almost out and searching for this has brought me here … thank you for posting about this! ❤
Hi Dr Dray!! Can i suggest a content? Like what is ur favorite skin care ingredient in all aspect i.e mosturization, anti aging (as labeled by cosmeuticals) etc.
Hey Dr. Dray 2 questions!
1. Does Benzoyl Peroxide wash/topical cancel out the effects of tretinoin?
2. Is using Tretinoin gel safe for anti-aging/acne even though it's highly alcohol based? 🆘
Thanks for vid pretty lady. great info. be safe
Hi Dr.Dray, I used my Missha essence this morning. It is amazing❤️Thank you
Finally able to catch up with you, our internet connection has been very unreliable at best this last week 😧
Anyways happy to spend some time with you again!!
Happy Friday Almost the weekend 😷🍁
Acacia honey is also beneficial for the skin, and I use Geohoney acacia honey, and I notice a difference in my skin after using it.
happy monday dr dray!
Dr. Dray, Thanks so much for the good info. I have the Honey Skin brand and it's a nice moisturizer. I so dry that I don't reach for it anymore.
People tend to notice the price tag of manuka honey, but it's only expensive in relation to other honeys. If you consider it a health supplement or skin product, the cost actually compares fairly reasonably (per gram) to other treatments on the market. No, I'm not in the manuka honey business btw. Thanks for sharing your knowledge of this honey, Dr Dray!
Yeah I’ve had the same squeeze bottle of medical grade manuka honey for a year with consistent face masks it’s still a third full!
Exactly...and you don't need much for your face so it lasts a long time
Hi Dr. Dray, can you also make a video about propolis? Is is also the same as honey?
I've been thinking about using Manuka Honey for a mask when face steaming. I'll give it a try.
Hi Dr Dray from NZ the land of Manuka Honey 🌼🐝
I use a active manuka honey balm with vitamin A sometimes
Have a great day 🙂
Happy Monday Dr Dray...see you tomorrow x💙🤩
I have been using Honeyskin face and body cream UMF 12+. I love it!!!! It is also inexpensive. I am so happy to learn the benefits of manuka honey. Thanks!!!!
Hi Dr. Dray, I love your videos so much! I felt much more comfortable taking Accutane after watching your vid on it (now I finally have clear skin!) I wanted to ask if you've seen anyone fully recover from scalp Seb Dermatitis? I watched your videos on it and have gone to my derm so many times but I've had it for over 15 years and nothing has helped & it's slowly spreading more. Anything else you'd recommend?
Always great information.
Dr.Dray would love to know your opinion of skinn Cosmetics Divine Elixir luminous skin oil Manuka Honey product
I get patches of eczema on my hands in winter that often crack, weep and itch so badly. This year I got it on my palm which was hard to treat because it was contently moving. I started applying 20 UMF manuka on it over night, with a plaster over the top. in just a few days it has improved dramatically and the itching is 95% improved.
Happy Monday Dr Dray. I’d love to see a video on using retinol body lotions. Specifically, if they are good, what conditions they are help with, and if there is a risk of retinol toxicity. Thanks!
I feel like that would be very interesting. I’ve been considering using retinol on certain areas of my body and would love to have more info!
Thanks I too have been an ad vocate of this natural medicine for my asthma, and I'm trying it o my allergy
Loreal's Age Perfect range has a night cream that contains Manuka honey and vitamin B5
thank you so much for mentioning malassezia ⚙️🙏🏻
I have been using it for moderate to cystic acne for about a week now. It has completely cleared my skin, only have a little hyperpigmentation and the occasional pimple left. I do use Tretinion as well, but honey has also helped tremendously.
How do you apply? Do you do it in the evenings and mornings? Do you shower before/after please elaborate on your process
Please do a video on diy yogurt face mask. Many dermatologist suggest yogurt for face with eczema or dermatitis.
Just bought their products for HS. Praying it helps me
I was hoping for a recommendation for a reputable product with manual honey! Maybe you can include that in tomorrow’s video?
There’s links in the description
Since it’s beneficial for use in rosacea, does that also mean it could reduce perioral dermatitis symptoms?
What about the interactions with live yogurt? Can these be consumed or used together in skincare without losing the beneficial properties?
I use Skinn manuka honey mask and an oil type serum. It is awesome.. I love it!!
I just bought Manuka honey to eat as recommended by a friend, go here to look for its benefits and found this video of yours. Wonderful. Thank you very much Dr Dray!
Dr Dray Can You Make A video Of Moringa Seed Oil
I tried the First Honey ointment for a rash that would not heal for months. It worked wonderfully! ! I highly recommend!
glad to hear it helped!
Dr Dray thanks 😊 I thought about going to a dermatologist but it’s only $13 a tube much less expensive!!
Great video!! I hope Manuka will help with red marks!
Hello Dr Dray, I am new subscriber but I have been following you for quite sometime. I really love your videos and follow your tips as much as possible (from Switzerland). I wish you could interact more with your audience one2one to give your opinion , for example on their skin care routine. Here just dropping an idea... Anyway, you give fantastic advice. Thank you so much for what you do online, I really appreciate.
I keep manuka honey ointment in my first aid kit. Saw it first used on my 91 years-old mother-in-law on a poor healing open arm wound while she was in Rehab. It healed beautifully. Then used it when my husband had a 5-inch arm gash requiring 14 stitches. Again, healed beautifully. I use it when my young grandsons scrape their knees, etc. It doesn’t sting at all. I am a believer!
What are your thoughts on the brand 'Kiwi Botanicals' from New Zealand? They contain manuka honey. I bought the day lotion with spf 30 at Walmart and I really like it. Plus Walmart has a brand 'Earth to Skin' that has a honey line as well.
Hi dr. Dray ! Can you do a video on period/ hormonal acne and how certain high estrogen foods (like nuts, dairy) can aggravate it in women ?
i have a video on that
I used regular honey in the past as a DIY facemask, but ended up with red bumps around my face and never really try any products with honey in it. But I do love adding manuka honey into drinks. Thank you, Dr. Dray, for this wonderful topic.
@abi 👍. Glad it works for you.
I think I need to try manuka honey my skin is very dry
I've used raw honey (not manuka) as a mask/face wash for the past couple of years. I tried so many things for acne & it was the only thing that I felt didn't make me break out or make my skin so dry as to feel tight. Even though I still feel like I struggle with acne I get a fair amount of compliments on my skin! I would like to give the Manuka honey a try now.
Yes you should ive been dealing with acne for almost 10years but I always get compliment for my skin complexion. You should try, it improves overall skin texture, redness, hydration and also fine lines
@@Maripossa909what do you moisturize with after should we use a face oil or a moisturizer?
@@Slymoneygang hi what’s is your skin type. Mine is combination. After i wash my face with manuka, ive always moisturize. But I don’t use face oil cause oil can cause my skin to clog. I avoid fragrance or any essential oil.
@@Maripossa909 same i have combination to i have an oily tzone and dry cheeks
@@Maripossa909 im buying the manuka honey tomorrow but all i have been using is a oat meal soap and a retinol at night and its been clearing up but i still feel like my nose be so oily and clogged but im gonna try the manuka honey can u tell me all the great things its done to your skin?

Hi there! Can the Manuka healing ointment be safely used on a toddler's skin?
Thank you, I get a lot from your videos. 😀
thanks for watching
Would you recommend differin scar gel or first honey cream for old acne scars that didn't go away?
Could you review the lacura q10 night cream from aldi ?
