- French Hill Climb Championship (2019) came to Arette - France for round Impossible Climb. The race was a two-day event in the heart of a geographical beauty. This is a championship which is held since 1984 and you really see how serious the competitors are. The target is to cover a 230m hill which has a soft right curve and jumpy sections.
Day 1 was mostly a show-off and race day for stock dirt bikes, day 2 was the real deal. 56 competitors were ready with their modified bikes. Each competitor had 4 chances and whoever covers the most gets the trophy.
No one made it to the top at the end. The winner of the race was Vincent Mougenot who covered 222,15 meters at his 3rd try.

This is the best example of ‘power is nothing without control’. It takes incredible skill to know when to add power and when to let off. The decisions have to be made in far less than a second.

Climbing Arette was an exhilarating experience! The breathtaking views from the top made every step worth it. The challenging route tested my skills and pushed me to my limits, but the sense of accomplishment at the summit was unparalleled. Arette has definitely become one of my favorite climbing destinations. Can't wait to conquer more mountains..By the way your new friend and fan🧡❤🤝🤝

The bikes are more than capable of doing the job. This is a true contest of riders.
Very interesting variety of motorcycle types and rear tires. It's been about 40 years since I've been to a professional hill climb, wish there was one around me. So much fun.

The guy in yellow who did it seemed to take the flattest line. Was a steeper route but he missed the undulations which bounced all the others off. Really good effort because this one is nearly impossible.
