I for one refuse to drink Canadian beer. I just think it is way to cruel how you force all of those Moose to pee in those tiny bottles.
Beats that baby piss tap water south of the border
@TheNomdeguerre possible but we have more than a few of them as well lol
3 of em within walking distance to where I am standing this very second lol
Imagine having to drink either of them instead of a good german beer xD
@Alex John you auzzys have some gooooood shit over there!
Somebody hasn’t tried Molson directly from Canada
I don't even ride..(yet)
..
I just really like these videos
me too man
GET YOUR BIKES :)
learn. best thing i ever did
Hahaha, same.
Do it. Just remember: Respect the bike and what it's capable of, but understand that *you* might not be *that* capable.
this is the best channel for motorcycling related content by some distance
rusty16663 by millions of miles
I have to agree
Light-years
Exactly 13 miles or 20.9 km for our northern neighbors.
Idk, Yammie Noob will yammie up your yammie yams for just a yam yam time on the turbobusa. But ya bro whatever.
I listened to Fortnine's advise and i removed my engine from the bike ..damn that shaved off heck a lot of weight ! thanks man XD
Can’t beat that mod for balance improvement
dont forget the tank! real heavy for some reason.
I'm a firm believer in knee grips for the tank. Your knees help hold you on the bike, at least when going a bit faster in a turn.
Good tips.
This is exactly what I needed when I asked about frame/spool sliders the other week. Plus I always wanted to know how those levers worked. Thanks. You guys are the best
i like the "no judgement" for the fall on the drive way! LOL
you very good mate!
Don't. Touch. Halogen. Bulb. With. Your. Fingers.
Mateusz Sułek yea we know the grease on your hands makes them retain heat and pop quick
good to know that you know
Just wipe them off on your riding pants before installing... it'll be fine ;)
any grease and dirt can raise the temp when it runs, so the life of the bulp goes way down
Glad I'm not the only one that was bothered by that.
I've been watching these videos and taking notes. I have my helmet, gloves, and studying for my motorcycle license. I cant wait!!! Very useful videos and a big hit on the creativity sides also. I recommended this channel to my sister and bf. 🌹
As usual, good straight forward advice. I consider your channel the best motorcycle info on CZcams. I will take just one tiny issue with your headlight bulb recommendation. For context, I currently own 8 bikes, and I have upgraded/modified the headlights on all of them. I actually built a testing rig so that I could objectively measure the brightness of various bulbs, and went so far as to upgrade my 6 volt bikes with step up transformers so they could run 12 volt LED headlamps. In my tests HID’s had the highest brightness, but I run LED’s on several of my bikes because they draw fewer amps. Anyway, here is my issue with your recommendation. Yes, blue bulbs look brighter and more modern. But our eyes actually are more sensitive to the more yellow end of the spectrum. So actually, going “blue” with headlights reduces visibility compared to more yellow headlights. Regular incandescent headlight bulbs are about 2,700K and the most popular LED headlights are 5,000-6,500k. I personally have compromised by selecting bulbs that are 4,000k whenever I have the choice. This produces a fairly modern neutral white. Incidentally, I find that except for the newest bikes, motorcycle headlights are poor illuminators. I always add LED auxiliary driving lights. When I cycle aux lights off, it’s scary how much visibility is reduced running on the headlight alone.
6:21; So we’re just gonna ignore that perfect double entendre? Y’all a writers are absolutely insane, so glad I found this channel.
New bars are a good cheap mod too if you have a naked, dual sport, or adv. You can usually get some for under $100 quite easily, and it can change the way a bike feels drastically
Included that in his "mods under 50$" video
I would like to see a review of good budget LED headlight vs Halogen
go to commonmotor.com...they have a very good video on this
Stupid idea
The only thing I'd add about the fender eliminator kit - be prepared for a rooster tail. My GSX S750 came with one of these kits and it sprayed water all up my back on my first wet ride. Easily fixed with a floating fender that attached to the rear axle.
Thanks, I was wondering about that. I thought there must be a reason they come with fenders from the factory.
it's also not legal everywhere
The bullshit corner has to be in every future video ahahahah
Also, Bell Bullit/Moto3, Dmd Rocket/Racer or Premier thropy/mx, pros and cons? Retro helmets compared would be a great video
Great videos. Just subscribed after watching many of your videos. Had 3/5 of your suggestions already modded. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to more videos
Hey I'm actually early! Love you Ryan -RWT from NC. Keep up the awesome videos brother and ride safe!
love your videos. awesome speech skills and great editing
I find these videos so satisfying for some reason...
Great stuff! Love the sarcasm and the information...Thank you!!
My favorite knee grips come from Harbor Freight, and usually say "stair treads" on the display box.
I bought something similar at Princess Auto.
Always good fun to watch...hahahah "better beer, prettier women" hahaha AWESOME!!!
You covered everything I'm looking at for my new bike!
2:15 "for two reasons" while holding 3 fingers up XD hahaha love your vids =)
ah perfect timing with this video, had my brake lever snap on me yesterday so I was looking for options in replacements
I know this video is 4 years old, but those headlights don't shine a damn bit different than regular bulbs. I worked at Oreillys and saw plenty of customers install them on their cars, only to turn around and immediately return them in disappointment. LEDs are by far the best headlight option on all accounts
No you didn't. You guys don't take returns on electrical parts. Lol
asv levers ftw! roll-a-click adjustment is sooo much more adjustable and easy to work with than the 6 clicks of others
Great host,Great content,Great editing
WHY ARE YOU STILL AT JUST 100K YOU DESERVE 10 MIL SUBS
well theyre getting closer^^
5 years later and they’re closing in on 2 million!
Educational & Enjoyable. Thanks 👌🏾👌🏾👍🏽
I love the videos, Thanks for the tips
Now this is a genuinely useful video clip
wow such production quality
These videos are soo cool!
I've never even been on a bike, but these videos are top notch.
Another excellent video
I have ordered block plates and bar end mirrors from ebay. Can't wait for them to arrive.
Thanks again man
Gotta love bullshit corner
Seth Fjeldheim Im 9hours late haha
Seth Fjeldheim funny thing is your watching it!!!! Haha funny
GSXR750GUY ! He wasnt talking about the video
gerard bacs Im 3 years late
In Manitoba I was given two size choices when registering my motorcycle. I went with the small, since it gives more options for mounting.
we need more of these videos
I have the same levers and have accidentally knocked my front brake lever up in the motion of reaching for them and then have to fold them back down in a panic to pull up for the corner, definitely user error nothing wrong with the levers just something to be mindful of :)
Levers are the 1st thing i replace when i get a new bike. Adjust to fit my weird hands & fingers, lol.
You really sold me on that lever
I love the Le Mans/Le driveway bit
I'm subscribed and like your presentations. Quick question: what are the best replacement LED headlight bulbs for 2003 BMWf650gs? Thanks
Top Motorcycle Mods under $100.
*Buys $116 (at the time of filming) lever.*
My best mod is a wee rubber boot over the clutch lever pivot to stop rubbish getting into the cable. Bikes don't seem to have them now. I use an old one off a Yamaha on my Triumph.
Nice watch
This video was soooo fucking informative. I'm subscribed. Thanks for the vid. I started riding this summer.
Just got the stompgrips on the zigzag and it work great. way more control and way easier to hang, on when i let her loos..
MOREEE MOREEEEE WE NEED MOOOOOOORE
Prettier women? I'll give you that one but I would argue your claim to better beer. Nice videos, man. You've got a new subscriber.
Wait, it's possible to have worse beer than americans? *laughs in Pilsner*
edit: don't want to sound only offensive on such a good YT channel. Try Pilsen beer if you will have a chance someday, it is one of the best beers you can get :)
STruple12 America is still the best at war. That's all that matters
What does that matter?
Why would it be all that matters? It doesn't make sense to me ..
Fun Fact: US lost a war to Canada in a very embarrassing way possible.
#WarOf1812 #NeverForget
WOW!!!! THANKS!, FORTNINE, FOR YET ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO DEMO/RECOMMENDATIONS!!! I ALSO HAVE THAT BMW G 310 GS, (2018), AND WANT TO UPGRADE IT, IN MANY WAYS, SO THAT IT'S REALLY VERSATILE, SAFE, USE FRIENDLY, AND GOES ANYWHERE!
WHAT IS YOUR BRAN/MODEL OF TUBE STEEL "ENGINE GUARD"?!...
MUCH APPRECIATED!!!
As an Audio Visual tech in Australia. Put your lapel belt pack on your belt at the rear. Much tidier look.
I will get the bulb, its within my budget slash ability. Plus it will make me look stellar
Just make sure not to touch the glass with your bare hands like he did. The oils that get on the bulb from your hands retain a lot more heat, and will greatly reduce the bulb's lifetime.
ya thats a big no no. i always use my mouth when installing. no grease there!
You look like Geoffrey from Game of Thrones.
Great video (y)
Franklin Macharia Muiruri Plot twist - Joffrey comes back as a wight walker riding a white KTM 1290 Adventure.
@@twistednemo omg I almost pissed myself... gold ;;;;
I paused at 4:03, and the smug-face was in full effect!
I gotta give it to ya. You make a good video. I rode an 1100 Vstar and I knew you weren’t gonna say a damn thing I really needed but I watched it anyway. Well played sir. And because my next bike is gonna be naked you get a sub. Touché sir
Also, that clutch lever was pretty dope.
You should do your favorite highway pegs for ADV bikes in the next episode
not sure what brand I have, but my blue swingarm spools are still blue after 5 years. I don't store it outside, but it's been on the stand plenty of times with no noticeable damage.
Nice video about these mods they are very amazing to have. My problem you may have is getting your message across. Any new rider will just look at these as just useless tins and cans. Show examples how it impacts the bike like maybe a clip with the bright lights before and after, just a suggestion.
I ride bikes more likely Moto cross but in bike Enduro but I still watch this because I can apply it to my bikes and Im not really interested in motorcycle but this guy is cool
talking about licenseplate sizes, in the UK they look like metal brake parachutes.
No judgement!
The closer the part is to the ground, the more important it is. Thats why all the smart riders upgrade their brakes, tires and suspensions before adding fender eliminators and levers or ECU mods
My Yoshimura fender eliminator kit came with the license plate led light.
hey fortnine i was wondering what would be the best cheapst 250cc motorbike for road in ireland?
Do Benelli tnt135 review! against the Kawazaki and the Honda 125
Yeah so about the lights, a color filter always subtracts light, so a blue filter makes it dimmer while it appears brighter. Also makes it hotter as that filtered light is turned into heat. Second, never touch a halogens 'glass', because it's not glass and it reacts to skin oil, making it prone to deformation and breaking. Third, while many xenon kits match the max load of a halogen (60 watts) this is mostly to not trip 'broken light' sensors. You can get many xenons at 35 watts. Even more interesting are 15-20watt led's. They're just more finnicky to get into an 'old' halogen fixture. The problem with xenon is heat and uv light. While they're more efficient than halogen, the light puts heat where it usually doesn't get because of the low halogen efficiency and that can crack glass and plastic and soften glue while the xenons UV light breaks down the plastic lens and makes it look cracked, opaque and discolored.
Nobody cares about lumens. If it "appears brighter" to our eyes, it IS brighter.
The slider you mention do you think it would work for a grom?
I really like Bullshit corner... that's a great desk.
I subscribbled.
I ride a Harley Ultra Classic and am having difficulty locating a modulating device for my front headlamp. Have you ever reviewed any headlamp or brake light modulating devices? My Harley has a H4 lamp, but, I replaced it with a Cryon (brand) LED bulb. I"ve read that some modulators won't work with LED bulbs.
its about 110$ per individual fairing piece on my 98 cbr600 f3. Bought it for 600$ which turned out to be the steal of a lifetime even though I needed new tires, fairing pieces, fuel pump and some TLC to make it look better because I bought it from my dads buddy who traded his jeep for it and the guy he got it from had told my dads buddy he had recently tore the bike down and rebuilt the top end after he had dropped it. We obviously didnt believe him but when my dad and I tore into the top end we could instantly tell based on how clean the block itself was and the entire top end was spotless. We also think they added some extra P-formance parts to it because it has so much more power than any other 600 ive seen. I watch most videos of 600 f3's doing 135mph about to shift into 6th meanwhile I have done "only" 132mph on my bike and I was in like 3rd gear still. Maybe I just am hoping my bike has something done to it but I think it does. I know sprocket changes can make differences and my bike did have a smaller tooth rear sprocket on it when my dads buddy got it, but he put the stock tooth sprocket back on so its all stock sprocket wise. who knows. my current plan is to streetfighter it. Im not too into wheelies and shit like that and i dont think ill ever be into stunting but who knows. I would just like to have a completely personalized bike. My bike being older I feel is perfect for it.
Super helpful!...if you ride a sport bike 😒
Coloured bar end weights are also a cheap way to add style
i know ne that i am using for my dirt bike for a light. Becuase the bike cant use lights that connect to the battery i have put a head lamp (the ones that goes on your head) aroud the white pad thing on the front for your number. its only about 19.00-40.00 and is super bright
You should feature the integrated indicators with the tail of from TST industries
I call this one, "when you don't have real content to share" hahaha. No bro no no no ❤️❤️❤️
I went straight to the website for the Puig levers --- there well over $100.00 it seems. I might take a chance on a ebay set @ around $40.00 shipped. ---- Are you guys going to Carry RG parts ? I would love some frame sliders for my 08 cbr125r.
I'll look in a moment but i bought these adjustable and indistructable levers, and i must admit i slid down the road at 140KMH and it was only scratched, no pieces nothing just scratches
I LOVE THE BULLSIT CORNER must be a permanent version
Remeber Brits (and maybe elsewhere)- if you take your pillion footpegs off, remember to put them back on when it's time for the MOT - if you have seating for a passenger, then you have to have footpegs to go with it (or be mates with the examiner ;) )
The Halogen Headlight Bulbs link is not working anymore, were do I buy that specific light he was talking about?
Yes, of course, every driveway is French when you drop your bike on it. :P
For frame sliders, I prefer no cut. Cut sliders put your engine mount at risk because they can bend the mount if you have a hard down, almost surely guaranteeing writing off of the bike in the process. Because no-cut are less rigid, they'll provide initial dampening and then snap on a hard down, only damaging your fairings, which would be damaged anyways. But, no-cuts still provide ample protection against drops and low speed downs...easier to install as well.
rear spools aka 8mm bolts for $2 at hardware store. other than that recommendation very good video.
What's the rack you have on the BMW in the background !?
Where do I find the exact frame slider kit he talked about starting at 2:54 ?
the hair band trick doesn't work with my Bell MX-9 but thanks for the advice anyways ;)
That fender eliminator doesn't exist anymore, could you link another good one?
Nice Fossil watch, Ryan. I have the same one and its my favorite.
That's why I like Canadians they say lever and not lev-er.
Proper 👌
Wait so how would it act like a mini frame slider if it just folds up straight away?
Cruiser stuff
Not sure if you know this but r/motorcycles loves you over at reddit.
THAT SETTLES IT. I'M MOVING TO CANADERP.
The motorcycle videos are great. At 6:22: "Whoop-de-do, we have better beer... " Feel free to branch out and show a few of your favorites!
Will the lever work with a Drz400s
Frame sliders saved my friend bike from a total disaster, and he just needs to replace the frame slider puck now
What was the name of the company that makes that headlight again?
