In this episode mark says that Jeremy considers potatoes as 1 of his 5 a day, but in Season 7 "Seasonal Beatings" Jez tells Mark that he didn't cook the potatoes for Christmas because he is on vegetable duty, and believes potatoes aren't vegetables.
It was a joke Mark, a Christmas joke.

It should be written " Sus' ". The apostrophe acknowledges that it's a shortened version of the name "Susan" and should therefore be pronounced like the phonetic "Sooz".
