A good guy? He got an 18yo Filipina pregnant and then he couldn’t afford to take care of her and the kids. Not only that, his first Filipina wife was like 16 when he married her. Chances are he will find a new teenager when he moves back in a few years. He’s taking advantage of the goodness of others.

@@cber5077 Why do you just soley blame John for?... It takes two to tango as they say, and if she didn't want kids, then she should of said something before the deed happened - I don't care whether you say she was to young or not educated enough to understand; thats just a load of hogwash... Also, how do you know that they are miserable because of them having children? You don't, it's just you're petty assumption.
You think this is bad, you should go visit some Asian countries and see how bad off some parents are... I tell you now, it's 100x worse than this.

As you said, the wheels could fall off for any of us. I've seen changes in people from other health issues...it is never easy to see the changes, but we shouldn't judge. Speak for yourself - if at age 58 I’m chasing teenage Filipinas and getting one pregnant while not having a pot to p*ss in then please shoot me rather than excuse it away as “the wheels falling off”. John was a disgrace to himself and 100% the architect of the sorry situation he created for himself, his partner and two babies.

    Expat John!
I have traveled the world and I have lived in the Philippines while working for the US Government in 1970's. I left my job and returned back to school and subsequently became an attorney.
First, let’s get the facts straight!
The Philippines is a country with extreme poverty as a result women for the most part are willing to engage in sex or do whatever they need to do in order to survive. When I mean survive, I also mean support their own families which include their mothers, brothers, sisters, their children and yes even their husbands just to name a few. Of course, they will tell you they are single when in reality they are married with children.
For a man over the age of 50 to go to Philippines and expect to fall in love with a 20-year-old something and maintain a loving relationship for a substantial period of time, is not only INSANE it clearly shows you lack common sense. If you think it is possible then you are kidding yourself and you will fail in the end. There is always an exception! The odd of that exception is like winning a million dollar jack pot.
The reason you go to the Philippines is for SEX! DO NOT FORGET THAT! It is possible to enjoy a short-term relationship providing you incorporate some common sense.
The laws, the police, and the court in the Philippines makes it very difficult to invest or own a business or property in the Philippines if you are a foreigner. If you have rights such as citizenship, then that is a different ballgame. You will find that most countries protect their own citizens over foreigners which lack citizenship. Without citizenship you are nothing more than a guest in a country of which that relationship can be terminated on the spot.
First Rule: Never loan money or invest in a business or property of any kind without first seeking the advice of a reputable licensed attorney in the Philippines who is willing to protect you legally.
Find out what your rights are and if worse case scenario, how do you collect if the other parties do not perform. In short, what is your security for your hard-earned money? If you are unable to get the protection of the courts, then PASS on loaning money, or making investments in the Philippines.

DO NOT mix a climax with your hard-earned money and remember there are no exceptions!
Second Rule: Individuals that Lie and or engage in FRAUD! When you have individuals living in extreme poverty, they will do whatever is necessary to get ahead for themselves or their loved ones and that includes fraud and untrue statements and falsehood. You think this specific woman loves you and will always be honest with you. You forget she has family, friends and others who educate her long before she met YOU. I can’t count the number of ex pats that I have run into that have been screwed because they lack common sense. This also includes individuals that want you to invest or puchase a business and or property.
Third Rule: You will never make an income in the Philippines! To be fair, there are rare cases where this is not true. One exception is a programmer that makes his living from customers outside of the Philippines while he lives in the Philippines. To reside in the Philippines, you will need at least 88,167 Pesos per month. In USD that is $1,500 per month. That also takes into consideration, unexpected expenses such as medical, supporting a girlfriend and emergency traveling as an example.
Fourth Rule: Always have emergency money hidden, or in a bank in case of worse case scenario. Everyone has access to a bank account somewhere and that includes you. What this means is open a bank account. If necessary, in your own country. Put emergency money in that account. That should include moneys for airfare, hotels, food, cloths, medical for at least a 2-month period. You should be the only one that has access to those funds.
Fifth Rule: Trust NO ONE! In law the first thing they teach you is how to do due diligence. What this really means is believe nothing until you can verify through a valid source.
Sixth Rule: Go to the Philippines knowing and accepting these rules and enjoy yourself on a day per day basis. Finding nice people and enjoying their company is wonderful. Set rules for yourself and remember to always protect yourself.
My sole intent is to educate you and others.

I went to the Philippines (42-year-old male) with no interest in any sex at all, I can find that at home. I just wanted to see Palawan, Bohol and other beautiful places. I didn't experience any of that kind of tourism (I did see some white men walking around with younger females). In my opinion, the Philippines has much more to offer than girls or sex. It is no Indonesia but I still found it an interesting culture.

Such compassion is rare in this day and age, and I appreciate how all of you great guys so respectfully pulled John up from what obviously was going to be a fatal disaster for John. I've watched John's story via Paul's channel since the beginning. John is in no way the man he was prior to his strokes and only these compassionate heroes could have pulled this off for John. This was handled with charity, dignity and respect for John which says much of all of your characters. Can't provide enough kudos. Thanks very much for the journey.

Nah, still doesn’t smell right. The first ‘John’ video (early 2020) was before he had is stroke yet while physically fit, John gave no impression that he was a high salary calibre guy. Also why did someone who has a ‘degree in finance’ and had earned 77k x 20 years have only $30k to his name at age 58 and decide that it was sufficient to live on for four years? Again, he took that decision BEFORE his stroke.

God Bless you all🙏 to open your hearts and wallets, guide John with some resistant to get him regroup, work and save some money. From my point of view as Filipina here in the state. First, she is too young for him and just want to have somebody to support her financially and also her family. Diana is young and probably looking for another man. She sees the weakness in John as a man, no dominant personality that can be easily manipulated. John thinks that when he gets his SSI that everything will be fine… I don’t think so… that’s not enough … to feed the whole family and more… he needs to think of his health and not rush to go back. Work hard for maybe three years or more to save up and increase his SS…

I think that John may need to be put into a conservatorship. At one point his only food was rice that he was buying on credit from his baby momma's sister as he was wasting away like a concentration camp prisoner. And even after this he wants to send checks to that group. If they want money, they can go through his conservator.

This is awesome report of John. He is on his way to recovery. With God nothing is impossible. Sure many have prayed for him. Thanks to you Paul & Jim for the effort you put into getting his paperwork done, to get him back to America. And of course keeping your viewers posted. Would love to see John live online someday with you Paul. God bless us all. 🙏

I think it is really excellent that you men stepped in and helped John. He has some serious problems between physical and maybe mental but as I see it his problems are social. When I got sober I had certain mental issues. Accepting life on life's terms gets very skewed to say the least in addiction. John having the problems with his family children baby mama etc and its hard to determine if he actually recognizes his own short comings. The most therapeutic statement that I ever had directed towards me is that one of my issues was I couldn't tell the difference between a plan and a fantasy. Even now after having been clean and sober for seven years I can still get sidetracked in my activities of daily life management. Anyways I have lots of respect for the men who could have been very calloused towards the plight of John. Yet u weren't and you went far and beyond what most strangers might have . God Bless

What an inspiring story and what a wonderful thing you guys did for him. I hope John’s kids have gotten their CRBA’s and Social Security Numbers. He will not only be eligible for the Child Earned Income Credit but also later on for the dependent child supplement to his Social Security….that could be an additional 50% increase to his SS payment until the kids reach 18.

He already had a stroke prior to coming to the Philippines.
He was already in a semi-bad shape health wise, not realizing that stroke comes in tandem, sometimes several after shocks.

I am so happy to hear you clarify that the man suffered strokes. The comments were brutal that did not comprehend or take those afflictions into account. You may have a stroke and be perfectly fine, others may have a stroke and be utterly devastated, and all the outcomes in between.

Well done, I lived in the Philippines for over 5 years and for 2 years before that I was back and forwards. This was in the 90's we had no internet in those days. Sadly I had to leave, I was in my 30's but had to leave my wife and 3 kids in the end as we just could not make enough money to live, no matter how many businesses we had. I could write a book. It took 9 months to get my wife and 3 kids over to England, 25 years later the kids are all set up, and the wife and I have been together for over 30 years.
Having an income coming in that is not generated in the Philippines is key unless you have a good amount of cash in the bank. There are many other things but you need that basic setup to have a got start at living in the Philippines.

Paul, you and the other expats did a great thing for John. All of you helped give him another chance at life. Even if John goes back to the Philippines, it will be much harder for him to repeat the same mistakes simply because he will not be going to the Philippines with a lump sum. The Social Security payments are a monthly disbursement. The Social Security Administration will indirectly be acting as a money manager for John one month at a time. Sure, John could still piss away money in the Philippines, but he won't be able to screw up his future by blowing a lump sum savings like before.
