    Subscribe: bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Things
Calling all “Harry Potter” fans - we’re deep diving into J.K. Rowling’s dark secrets about the beloved series. Go behind the scenes to discover all the little-known revelations that the author has made over the years. From plot changes to character development, prepared to be shocked. We hear from Rupert Grint himself about how Ron Weasley could have suddenly become very different half-way through the film franchise, and what Rowling was tempted to do to the character - we’re so relieved she didn’t go through with it! Learn why Teddy Lupin brought the author to tears, and why she apologized for something she did to Dobby the House Elf. Have you always wondered if Albus Dumbledore could see more than the average wizard? We’ve got a nugget of information that explains all.
Rowling originally had different plans for Arthur Weasley, and another character met his end because of her change of mind. Find out who that was and why it had to happen, as you watch the author speak about her life-changing decisions. With fascinating backstories for Dolores Umbridge, including the people that inspired this most disliked of characters, you might just find yourself altering your opinion on the self-styled High Inquisitor. As for Aunt Petunia, a deleted scene showed a different side to Lily’s sister that might also change your view on Harry’s relative. And Rita Skeeter? Well, some people never change. Hit that play button to discover what secret Rowling revealed to Alan Rickman to help him understand Severus Snape, and hit that like button to show the world your love for all things “Harry Potter”. Snape: Expecto Petronum
Dumbledore: Lily! After all this time?
    Snape: Always.
    Or from the book
“Dumbledore opened his eyes. Snape looked horrified.
‘You’ve kept him alive so that he can die at the right moment?’
‘Don’t be shocked, Severus. How many men and women have you watched die?’
‘Lately, only those whom I could not save,’ said Snape. ‘You have used me.’
    ‘Meaning?’
‘I have spied for you and lied for you, put myself in mortal danger for you. Everything was supposed to be to keep Lily Potter’s son safe. Now you tell me that you have been raising him like a pig for slaughter-’
‘But this is touching, Severus,’ said Dumbledore seriously. ‘Have you grown to care for the boy, after all?’
‘For him?’ shouted Snape. ‘Expecto patronum!’
From the tip of his wand burst the silver doe: she landed on the office floor, bounded once across the office and soared out of the window. Dumbledore watched her fly away, and as her silvery glow faded he turned back to Snape, and his eyes were full of tears.
    ‘After all this time?’
    ‘Always,’ said Snape.”
He's not talking about his love for Lily. He's talking about his regret for destroying their friendship and deeply hurting someone he loved. When she died he knew he could never do anything about the damage he had done. He could never make it right. Him Turning on Voldemort and helping Harry despite hating everything about him that reminded him about his tormentor was 100% about trying in some way to make up for hurting Lily all those years ago and taking their friendship from her and hurting her so deeply. For knowing that he not only drove her away and into James' arms but also created the situation where they had to choose a secret keeper that wasn't him likely causing her death. Dumbledore is surprised that Snape still hasn't forgiven himself for what he did to Lily after all this time despite everything he's done. Snape is lost in thoughts of Lily and how he can never forgive himself. I highly doubt he ever did.

Put your bias and favorites aside. Arthur was a good father. He had a hard job but was always in a good mood. He made and rised six children, instead of abandoning them when times got tough. Even though he wasn't rich with money, he was rich with family, loving and appreciating them. And his curiosity with Muggles makes him like a child, ready to learn.
We can't really base good fathers on guys that have such young children, like James and Lupin. They *could have been* great, but there's not enough evidence yet. Even if they're your favorites, doesn't mean your personal headcanon is correct.

To me it came as no surprise that was so jealous, that she wrote to Professor Dumbledore to be part of the magical world. The fact that she was rejected, was enough for her to build such a hatred against anything magical that of course she would later on say that it is a freak school and completely deny that there was ever a magical world. I think she whole heartedly mourned Lily's death, she never got the chance to make amends and be the sisters they might once have been.

Number 10 is actually all in the books... Harry finds out in Deathly Hallows that he is a descendant of Ignotus Peverell, the original owner of the invisibility cloak. And Voldemort is of course related to Cadmus Peverell, the original owner of the resurrection stone. Since his mother's family was the House of Gaunt, the Ring with the Stone was passed down for generations until Voldemort made it into a Horcrux, that was then destroyed by Dumbledore (and gave him the curse).

  • @tastes-like-straberries

(Maybe in a few generations the Dursley blood will be diluted enough for magic to get through?)

I'm really surprised for the regret of Rupert Grint, and the last one of Petunia Dursley 🙈💕!!
I was expecting a thing like that, because in the book Petunia at the end seemed to sad for her sister, but i didn't see it in the film 💙🎬!!
I love all your surprising things, it's a great channell 🤩💛!!

How different and amazing it would have been if Professor Snape was actually a vampire.

What Rupert said is so true - all child actors ("milking it") lose their childhood while they are making the dough securing their financial future (and their kids'). Acting in a play, is so much different since not many go to the theater. This was one of the saddest moments - we got attached to poor Dobby! As in the 5th book when Neville visits his parents in the asylum (I cried for a few minutes). Don't blame me for reading the books, I started reading them to my son when he was 4 (I had no idea what they were about!) and then I had to read each one as they came to the stores!
Ohhhh, no...you said no vampires ecisted, sorry but Scrimgeour was the vampirebin the story! I remember this distinctly cause he replaced (forgot his name - he was fired after they all saw the fleeting image of Voldemort at the end of the 5th movie). The familial relationship was revealed in the 7th book how they shared the common ancestor "Paverell". It was explicit - sorry, but you guys the fans never read the book/s.

Emma wanted to stop for education but couldn't imagine someone els play Hermione
the plan was to kill Ron and let Fred live, so Fred would have been Hermiones love
Dame Maggie Smith had cancer during the 6th (i Believe it was the 6th) movie, she was really sick, but like the Dame she is, she went on with filming anyway
and don't we all love her?

Did people not know that Harry and voldy were related? Considering the books said Harry was related to a peverell and that the ring was a family heirloom from the peverells I kinda assumed... 😂

The final scene's were the Dursley's leave..... Both Dudley and Petunia had scene's were they said ???? But Petunia never expressed her feelings in the book and Dudley's farewell in the Deathly Hollows was far more clumsy and suggestive. He was still bully when he thought he could get away with it.

i didnt know that about Petunia. They should have kept that bit in. It would have had the Dursleys come full circle which is always a good film trope.
