- Brett Morgen never wanted to make a "run-of-the-mill" documentary about David Bowie's life. Unlike a typical music documentary, Morgen’s latest film, Moonage Daydream, doesn’t lay out the artist’s biography or feature talking heads. Instead, it’s meant to be a cinematic experience, using never-before-seen concert footage, interviews Bowie gave to the press at different points in his career and videos of him working on his music. Morgen joined Tom Power to tell us more about the documentary and how he tapped into Bowie’s creative spirit after he had a heart attack while making the film.

No one can talk about David Bowie without sounding pompous. This is his greatest legacy.
i saw that film in Kino Zamek, Szczecin, Poland on the 14 th of jan, this year. While i never go to movies which are longer than say 110 minutes, this time i could stay for another half an hour for sure. To me it was an amazing mix of Bowie "clips" i already knew with those i have not seen before, especially the Berlin period which i previously knew only from some press articles, gave me a beautiful insight on what was going on. So... well, great interview too, i'm glad to see the mr. director in person.... greetings !!!
