I have to say that the Questionert is quickly becoming one of my favorite segments. It's so much fun and absolutely insightful.

Agreed. If it's a slow day or if I'm looking to kill a few minutes, I look for the Colbert Questionerts that I haven't watched yet.
And to think it was all inspired by a reply that Keanu Reeves gave to a question.

Colbert is the only late night host smart enough to challenge and hang with all the other people he interviews. He is by far the best late night host.

Humans are the most terrifying animal. Statistically, they have killed more animals (including humans) than anyone else.
Hippos will trample you, gorge you, and fan poop all over you. Hippos are horrific.

when stephen asked for george's favorite song, i answered the question to myself, and said 'always,' and then george immediately said 'always!!!' i was shocked. and than he said it was his parent's love song, and that was my exact reason too !!
I was just thinking of that song today, Always. Irving Berlin wrote it for his wife. :)

There are two types of people in this world, those that think Die Hard is a Christmas Movie and those who are wrong.

It is a Christmas movie as a family visit during the holiday is the springboard for the story, and the separated children are exploited to advance the plot.
It just happened to be released on the July 4th weekend.
It's been so long, I'd forgotten The Late Show was capable of goofiness. Long may it continue now that we might finally be emerging from the darkness.

This is one of coberts best interviews, clooney is relaxed an at ease in his answers.

The worst smell is the smell of a dead groundhog left in a bag outside in the summer heat for days as a practical joke on another employee at a landscaping job. Except I was the one who opened the bag. The groundhog had liquified into green slime. The smell that hit me... *oh god*

I laughed so hard I gave birth to Jesus and he died on the cross to pay for the sin of putting dead ground hogs in a bag left outside in the summer heat for a landscaper to find.
I once left a red onion in a piece of tupperware in my fridge for weeks...when i took it out I made the mistake of opening the lid to the tupperware and almost threw up instantly...it was straight from hell. But I would've loved if someone answered Sex Panther...it smells like a used diaper filled with Indian food...

My brothers, sister in law and I literally introduced my niece to Die Hard as a family bonding experience this past Christmas.
We watch the Addams Family every Christmas. It happened to be on tv for some reason for several Christmases in a row in the 90-ies, and now we're kinda stuck with the tradition

I just watched a movie he starred in and loved his portrayal. I didn't get the title of the movie because I turned on my television and it was already playing. George Clooney is a great actor! Boy, does he look different!
The one I’m im the middle of watching is ‘The Midnight Sky’ and boy does he look different in that. Great big shaggy beard you could hang your washing on. He’s a very fine actor. And i loved his answers to Colbert’s questionert. Especially the last one. “Chasing around after my kids” defines anyone’s life who’s become a parent, at least until they move out!

Totally with Clooney on the Xmas movie thing. Die Hard is not a Christmas movie. The subject matter has no real connection to Xmas. They just happen to be at an Xmas party. It is arbitrary. It could have been a retirement party or a birthday party, or any other gathering. Jingle All the Way is a Christmas movie. Elf is. Die Hard is not.

I always considered Die Hard a Xmas movie but not the classic Xmas movie, it was just an "alternative" xmas movie! I even bought the soundtrack and I use to play it along the Spector Xmas album... ah ah ah!
@@WhateverHappenedToFun Christmas movies are about Christmas. Die Hard isn't about Christmas. Like I noted, if they said the gathering was to celebrate a corporate merger, or some other event, rather than it being a Christmas party, the movie would have absolutely zero connection to Christmas.

If you think about "It's A Wonderful Life", "The Grinch" or "Scrooged" and than you compare them to "Die Hard", "Die Hard" isn't a traditional Xmas movie at all!
But if you're lookin' for an alternative Xmas movie, you just need a movie that's shot during Xmas and there are references to Xmas... for example Gremlins, Batman Returns or Trading Places are "alternative" Xmas movies!
It's just a funny way to celebrate the best time of the year with somethin' unusual!

Not only is Die Hard not a "traditional Xmas movie at all," it isn't a Christmas movie, period. Trying to call it an "alternative Xmas movie" doesn't do anything to change the fact that it had nothing to do with Christmas. Arbitrarily taking place during the Christmas season doesn't make it a Christmas movie. Gremlins, for instance, is NOT analogous, since Gizmo WAS A CHRISTMAS GIFT. The basic plot of the movie isn't about Christmas, but it is a fuck of a lot more of a Christmas movie than Die Hard was. The contention that any movie that has even the slightest, indirect, arbitrary, irrelevant connection to Christmas makes the movie a "Christmas movie" is absurd. "Johnny Boz was a retired rock star. That must mean that _Basic Instinct_ was a movie about music!" LMAO. That is how much Die Hard was a Christmas movie.
