TIRED OLD PULSAR | Arriva North East Wright Pulsar 1404

I take a ride on Arriva NEs oldest Pulsar in the fleet; 1404 on the X12 service from Newcastle to Middlesbrough running about 15 minutes late. There was reluctant gear changes on the carriageway and classic SB200 limp mode for the majority of the journey. The old girl needs a well deserved rest and if no new engine or parts are forthcoming then, there would normally be the option of preservation provided someone has the cash to do so? 😟
