Bahamut doesn't die when he uses his flares. Donald does. Donald isn't necessarily "stronger". Like, Donald vs a team of Bahamut + a housefly, and if Donald uses Zettaflare against Bahamut, then Donald dies and Donald's team now loses. The housefly wins on Bahamut's behalf. Lol

Seeing Sora just attack Davy Jones out of pure rage was actually incredible to watch. This character, who has always been optimistic and silly, goes crazy for a moment and attacks a guy.

@@pygmalion0451 that doesn't make sense since dream drop distance came out in 2012 whilst kh2 final mix came out at 2007. The concept of dream eaters fusing with Riku may seem new but the effects are very similar to command style on bbs which also came before ddd.

After Xehanort and Eraques vanished and there where standing there in Keyblade Graveyard I was like "Yeah Happy ending". Then they mentioned Kairi and I was like "Oh right" I totally forgot about here.

Fun fact: the frozen world was cut down A LOT, Elsa was to figure out if her ice powers was for good or evil, Larxine was pushing Elsa to Darkness, which did work, turning her into the Fenrir heartless(Hans was never supposed to be the heartless), but when sora defeats the heartless form, Elsa realizes that her powers can do both, and all that. Disney had to be the stick in mud and told Nemura to turn the development of the world down, cause of many reasons

Fun fact: Fil in the Olympus world doesn’t speak at all because his Japanese voice actor passed away. They kept his character silent as an act of respect.
Honestly cried so, so, so hard at the moment where Axel tried to cheer up Xion and Roxas and he just breaks down. That was some massively good voice acting, animation, everything. It was a legit "funny-funny-funny-fuck this" moment.
Double Zwei definitely the best moment of the whole game for me. They deserve to cry together.

By the way, Donald is basically confirmed as one of the strongest magic users with his usage of Zettaflare being the only known instance of anyone using Flare at that level of strength.
And that includes Bahamut, of which the highest level of Flare among all of it's incarnations was Teraflare.
I'd just like to point out that in XIII-2, yes I know I'm necro'ing, Chaos Bahamut can use Zetaflare.
Bahamut in Crisis Core can use Exaflare, too.
It’s only been used by one other character and that was in bravely default. It helps that character was being fueled by literal god of destruction.
Another important detail of this feat that Donald fell unconscious afterwards. Instead of, ya know, being vaporized or burnt to ash based on the sheer amount of power used for this single attack.

Mike_P Well, I don’t know much about Kingdom Hearts, but I think that if Sora x Kairi was written better (and Kairi was written better), then this ending would have been perfect. Dare I say, perfect to end the entire series. Why was Riku so nonchalant about Kairi dying though? Like... come on... just because he’s not supposed to be Kairi’s love interest doesn’t mean he has to stop being concerned about her... I thought this game was about friendship...

The thing that kicks my ass is that they made such a power move putting in "Let It Go", but didn't bother to do "I See the Light" while in Corona. I feel like some injustice was done skipping out on the opportunity.
It would have been lovely but I'm sure it was a cost/licensing issue. It was probably a big struggle to get Disney to let them use Let It Go, let alone more songs.
@@david-jonballinger6638 So the multiple disney characters and worlds were fine, but Disney saw that they wanted to use songs and were like "No this is where we cross the line."
@@kxngkxng yeah but for a lot of the movies they had to really negotiate with Disney. Toy Story for instance, Nomura wanted that in KH2 but I believe there was a lot of resistance from Disney and Pixar. Nomura had to push really hard for Toy Story and Monsters Inc to be in this game. Remember, Nomura doesn't own the copyright for the Disney characters, Disney does. Disney are notoriously difficult with copywrights and anyone else using their material (even companies like Square Enix which they collaborate with). They want everything done their way. They probably didn't want to give too much or they were worried that time constraints wouldn't allow for the songs to be represented accurately enough. Kh3 was delayed by a couple of years to be fair.

I don't know. Woody telling Young Xehanort that nobody ever loved him is pretty high up there, but Sully scaring Vanitas, throwing him through a door, and then throwing that door into several other doors is still a very close second, if not a good tie.

Just going to point out that Donald's strongest shown nuke magic is stronger than what Bahamut currently has. Zetta-flare is exponentially stronger than Peta-flare, which is the strongest flare Bahamut has and was used in FF7 Adven Children's Bahamut SIN. From a raw number's standpoint, Donald's Zettaflare would have a power that would be in the sextillions while Bahamut's Petaflare is in the quadrillions.
Mickey also being able to cast Ultima like it was an average -ga or -ra spell shows how strong of a magician he is. And since both Donald and Mickey were trained under Yen Sid, it might be safe to assume that Yen Sid is packing some even stronger magics if gets real serious.

I really hated how Kingdom Hearts 2 shafted Donald with this dumb Duck Magic pseudo spells instead of having him acquire and develop his spells alongside Sora like in the first game. If it were me, Donald would be casting -ga spells, not Duck Fire. He'd also get spells Sora can't learn, like giving him exclusive access to Graviga and Stopga. He's supposed to be the spell caster of the group so his spells should represent that.

Watching this, it's interesting to see how a real KH fan reacts to this game rather than someone like me who's knows only vaguely what's going on. While hearing about the series and concluding that I think this series is a bit of a narrative mess given the lengths one person would need to go through in order to fully experience the story (given how all the games on different systems from different companies contribute to the overall story), it is certainly a treat to hear someone shout and scream at the top of their lungs at the sheer amount of fanservice (and memes) that can be squeezed into a single game.
as someone else who has yet to approach the lore-tangled, entry-heavy, multi-console nightmare of a game series but was still interested in the video, I was getting enough of an understanding of the bonds from everyone's behaviour and the players reactions to definitely feel feelings when things like the reunions happened, and Sora in particular had grown on me just from the clips of him we saw to the point I was honest to god getting teary eyed when Kairi died and freaking the Eff out when HE vanished in the sunset and...god, what is this game that it can be both convoluted AF and so goddamn evocative in so many straightforward ways?!

Aqua, Ven, and Terra hands down. I got super attached to them during my time with BBS and saving them was half to about 75% of my reason for wanting KH3, so I could save them, and save them I fucking did!

And yes, Sora would, IN FACT save his girl and yes, he ends up paying because you don't just CANCEL death like that....time travel (where the person is STILL ALIVE its just preventing their death) is one thing, sheer power of will is another.

I really do agree on Kairi. Like, her and Sora's relationship is fucking adorable and I really want more scenes of them together in the future games. But..damn, combat wise?

I mean, if you stall things out in the first part of the Saix fight you can see her fight a bit (she's actually pretty agile) but yeah, I was straight up pissed with how she was handled considering how much she was hyped up (her reveal as a Keyblade wielder is THE SECRET ENDING IN DDD FOR FUCK'S SAKE).

Xackadee I agree 100%, but to be fair to them I’m getting the feeling that these guys have never liked Kairi.
I mean Buns labeled Kairi as “the girl” in her KH for Beginners, I mean I don’t think Buns HATES Kairi per se I’m sure she doesn’t care nearly as much as she does for Sora and Riku.
As for Bun’s guy friend that joined her, yeah I don’t think he likes Kairi in the slightest. I mean that’s his opinion and all, but it did put a bit of a damper to see them be very cynical of Kairi when her scenes hit me really hard, but that’s their feelings on the matter.
I’m sure if Kairi got a major overhaul from how she was in prior games they might be singing a different tune (on her character, I think anything with Sokai will likely just be a negative for them, at least that’s what their reaction right before Sora vanishes tells me.) but she didn’t.
I mean I get it, I wanted more for Kairi to do because I love her to death, but I’m getting really sick of the people saying she was useless and did NOTHING.
I’m hoping Nomura gives her the spotlight in the next game. Will it happen? I doubt it. But I can hope.

@@TearfulFriend18 No worries, man. But I mean, yeah, you're right and that's all just part of the problem. Obnoxious ship wars aside, the level of cynicism displayed towards Kairi in general is really frustrating. I've been watching a bunch of KH3 reactions and usually even the people with indifferent opinions to things like Kairi or Unchained X still have the patience to say "Hey, that's cool for people who like that" but here it's a lot more negative. They can do them, sure, but I can tell you that it's put me off ever revisiting this channel. Dislike her if that's your thing but to do so to the point of displaying an ignorant level of attention to her role in the game is just annoying.
Now to be fair, I do see them wanting Kairi to be better and that's incredibly understandable. The writers definitely dropped the ball with her and didn't really try to give her any opportunities to shine. There's no excuse for it either. If Sora/Riku/Ventus can be "beginners" at the start of their respective games and go on to fight major villains that end up reappearing as final bosses in KH3 over the course of a single game, then the same can be said for Kairi. The writers just chose not to write her that way and it does suck that not only do we not get to see her do more, but she's barely given any agency as a character in the game for the final part of it. She doesn't even get to so much as say anything when Xehanort kills her. It's very frustrating because I love her character too but she keeps gettting screwed over and she deserves so much better.
But again, to reiterate the point that started this, she didn't do nothing at least. I'd argue that she was actually better written here than in KH2. By comparison she takes part more in the final battle, her scenes with Lea where she talks about Sora and Namine are very sweet, she and Sora finally actually share the paopu fruit and she then goes on to save everyone's lives. It may be the "only thing" she does but without her, the heroes would have died and Xehanort would have won, so it's still a pretty big deal even if it's her one moment to shine. To overlook that is just hateful. I'd honestly even be okay with Xehanort striking her down if it had just been handled a lot better.
Kinda gave you a long reply of my own. But I second your thoughts. I really want Kairi to be given more spotlight and after the way this game ended she needs it more than ever, but after this game and from the looks of the secret ending, I'm really losing hope. I think we're in for another Recoded/DDD game next. "Welcome back to the Sora and Riku show! Kairi? Who's Kairi?"
Honestly! They negativity could have been toned down or at least shown an indifference to her. I mean it's fine if they don't like her but it made watching this unenjoyable for them to be so downright negative towards her
Uh, I think they mean more combat. They want her to be an actual Keyblade wielder and not an off screen helper. Even Yen Sid, who usually sits out, parted the heartless sea.
While I don’t hate her, I am kinda tired of her being a little underdeveloped and useless in battle. Kairi was at least charming in the first game for the first minutes we saw her but literally we know nothing about her personality.
Honestly when Roxas appears I cried and my tears prevented me from fighting Saix but Roxas tore him apart while I just enjoyed the show.

Hearing those two scream "Your boyfriend's back!" (Or something like that) separately when Sora and Roxus shot down in front of Riku and Axel(+Xion) respectively made me crack up so hard XD
I didn't realize how many pre-rendered cutscenes there was, I was only able to tell they were because characters' eyes get extra bright and saturated. More than I thought there was, and I love that I can't tell except for one or two details. Shows how beautiful the game is. (Unless I'm being a dumb and everyone can tell easily besides me)
AmethystJewel I noticed a lot more of the pre-rendered scenes on my second play through then the first. I think the first time I was just so overwhelmed playing it that I hardly noticed.
They aren't prerendered though
They are using the hardware's capabilities really well and focused, and it shows when you look at them in different consoles.
For ex, the ps4pro and xbone x versions of the cutscenes have way more particle effects and shit than the normal ps4 one
@@Nachachus I get what you're saying, but there are prerendered cutscenes. I'm able to tell by the eyes and lips (I never said about this difference because I thought that would make me sound weird). If you compare the cutscene where Aqua unlocks The Land of Departure, to Sora, Donald, and Goofy running into Elsa, there's a clear difference in the characters features that tell me one was prerendered while the other was the in-game engine.
I didn't even notice they were pre-rendered until pointed out. My eyesight just keeps getting worse every year... lol
