Thank you for this video. I enjoyed listening to someone with a truly analytical mind talk about pulling out the creative/pretty aspects of journaling. I'm so used to cold spreadsheets, but I WANT to move toward something more freeing without feeling lost.
Thanks for watching!! I understand what you say, I also like to have things “under control” on my page. I think that using a small planner and doing just little deco helps and allows me to get creative. Try it out☺️
Hi Cecillia! I love your voice for these videos... great work! I too, am a scientist (retired), that loves playing and decorating planners! I haven't met many of us, so it's fun to run into another left-brained career person that's found a way to use the right side of their brain. We can have fun decorating and playing with stationery stuff too! I was a hydrogeologist with the US Environmental Protection Agency and US Geological Survey for 32 years. But after retiring I found planners and art, and have tons of fun! Keep it up, and I'll be watching more of your videos.

I’m doing a super minimalist bullet journal using a graph paper comp book right now and I basically have it setup just like the hobonichi weeks. I literally spent like 89 cents for it but I think I might splurge and give the hobo a try for next year. Love your videos!

The idea of a yearly mood tracker sounds very good... i might use that for 2021 instead of a monthly page.
There is no shame on wanting things to be pretty! But that beeing said, sometimes my brain puts me through some ideas but it doesnt quite work out, i just leave it like that hahaha, at least its a reminder what doenst work so i wont do that again =P
I wanted to try the hobonichi but its a little bit out of my budget atm, specially here in Brazil.

I talked a lot more on this one😅🤭 oh yes, my bujo in a plain notebook didn’t work because I wanted it to look nice but my drawing skills are just not for this and it was frustrating to me🥺 but then I have stickers and washis to help me out😉 oh yeah... itMs crazy how expensive it is to get a hobonichi in Brazil!! Maybe save some for the spring version and compare the shipping price with amazon. My friend in Sao Paulo got it from there because it was cheaper...

The Hobonichi Weeks would be great for wellness. I already have a planner I'm going to use for that next year. But I could easily change my mind and go with the Weeks LOL! I purchased a Weeks today as a Christmas gift for my brother.

This is my first time getting a Hobonichi Weeks and I think I’m going to really like it! I’m using the A6 Original right now and I enjoy it but feel like I need a weekly spread to see everything at a glance! I may get a Day-Free version for work, but I haven’t decided yet!

Where did you get that bear pen?
That’s a pentel energel clena. You can find it on jetpens, tokyopenshop and etsy. The bear is a piece of washi tape from jetpens☺️
What were the sticker companies? There’s no mention in the description.
