I liked master of disguise as a child but when I got older I was able to really see why people didn't like it. I still think some jokes are funny for the sheer notion of creativity but I realized as an adult who actually likes to write stories that a lot of the film was like a giant B movie. Which isn't always terrible but in this case it just wasn't the right kind of weird.
I liked it as a child too. But then you realize that it f ing sucks.
My teachers in middle school also had our classes go to our local matinee to see this. We all thought that we should have seen "The Tuxedo" staring Jackie Chan, which was the other film playing at the time. Looking back, we were probably the only ones who were able to fill the theater for the film in our town.
So instead of The Tuxedo, you saw Master Of Disguise?

I'll be honest, the alternate ending was...relatively much better. Devlin is taken out with a punch instead of a slap (because "he didn't deserve the dignity"), we actually SEE Pistachio and Jennifer get married, and and it also touches on the omitted scenes that confirm that the grandfather is The Cuteness. Like I said, relatively much better than what was left in.

The turtle costume itself is actually pretty well made, imo. Not enough to save the movie though.
My 8th-grade class got to go on a field trip as a "reward". They went to visit the holocaust museum. When they came back, it looked like the dementors from Harry Potter sucked out every one of their souls. Everyone was dead inside. Even the meanest of bitches in the class were zombified.
Needless to say, I was glad I didn't go.
But for me.....the worst film of all time is "Freddy Got Fingered"

Okay after doing research (painful research) the reason that the whole 'her butt is too small' bit was even put in the film was because one of the producers in Happy Madison Productions was extremely sexist and had a personal opinion of when it came to women which is 'bigger is ALWAYS better'. This makes me hate the film even more (and this bit is ranked higher than the turtle scene, which I still can't find funny and can't even seriously find a reason to find it funny).

They were targeting children as the key audience for this movie so... the same element that was used to create Bugs Bunny was used here as a psychological trick with the constant smiling face to lure the Looney Tunes slapstick comedy with hints of adult comedy references.
Only part that made me laugh about this movie was when he asked the bouncer guy if he wasn’t turtley enough. Then it was ruined
