They left on the beginning of the Battle of Kashyyyk, a battle we already knew the ending of when the game came out. A pretty intense note to end on, but not really a cliffhanger.
@@ClonedGamer001 they were making a sequel to the game but it was cancelled. They intentionally left it on a cliffhanger with the intent to pick things up in a second game.

If they're gonna remake Republic Commando, then they need to add more content to explain the fate of the squad. Maybe a Battlefront style game where there's cutscenes mixed in that show more than the perspective of Boss. And I wouldn't mind levels that let you play the missions of the rest of the squad as well
Honestly their isn't a lot of story based games about the prequels in a clones prospective.and their should be more!

I would love to see something like this on consoles. A remake of republic commando would be epic. But go figure no dev or publisher wants to step up and deliver something like this.

Always feels weird to think about the fact that we’ve never actually seen delta Squads faces, like yeah obviously we can get a solid estimate of what they look like but we don’t know hair styles or if they have tattoos or anything, just weird to think about
Well, when the game was developed and released, the idea of clones looking different didn't exist yet. So it's pretty expected. This idea was introduced into the animated 3D Clone Wars series which came later.
I personaly want a Bad Batch game thats pretty much a squad based third person shooter that shows what the team did before Order 66
Think about it the archytypes the Batchers represent would defnetley fit a class based game

Short answer: you're both wrong. It's because Lucas cancelled the sequel and Karen Travis is very protective of the Republic Commando IP. So protective that Lucas and now Disney have give a arm and a leg to get her to cooperate.
It kind of looks like exactly what i remember seeing as a kid even though the graphics are a lot better this is what it looked like to me back in the day.
A remake would mean having it canon to the Star Wars universe indefinitely.
They did show up in the Bad Batch, but whatever happens in the remaster may not exactly happen in the remakes.
They’re probably going to make it like Battlefront 1 and 2 from EA, but different.
We need lego set, and remake of game.
I'd love to see a PC remaster or remake of Republic Commando, but I wouldn't trust Aspyr to make it good after how the Battlefront Collection turned out.
There is a project to remaster rc. At this point, all of the textures and have been AI-apscaled. New UI has been made. And the new models are one the way. Some people are now using Nvidia Remix, a new powerful tool. If we don't get RC from Disney LA, we'll make it on our own (the fans).
God I love this game growing up it was so fun and awesome I hope we get a remake or a sequel
The best star wars game ever created hands down, this and Jedi Academy 2, hands down the 2 best games in the star wars galaxy, shame we don't have a sequel for either of them.
I think Republic Commando deserves not a remake but a reimagining where it takes the content from the Original Game and expands on it immensely, cause back when the game was made we only seen so much of what transpired in the Clone Wars, however thanks to the CGI series adding way more context and building up the stakes for Revenge of the Sith let alone the OG trilogy, so imagine the Republic Commando crew we got in the game being involved in many of the events that weren't in the OG game like the Battle of Dantooine where Mace Windu was notably involved in or rescuing Anakin Skywalker on Yaven 4 after his encounter with Ventress for the 1st time, there's so much potential for it and I'm all for it.

I remember playing this game when I was around 11 I loved it this is one of the few games that I would love to see a remake for. I have very fond memories of when I played this game. The other game I wish that they would remake is Simpsons hit and run.
I mean if they are going to charge for every bullet we fire, better to have a remake than a new game.
Well, they did bring back at least some of it for The Bad Batch, so the idea of doing SOMETHING with the original Republic Commando characters doesn't seem out of the question.
There was a Clone Wars game on the DS called Jedi Alliance. We NEED another game like that on modern consoles

I mean we don't get games like this cause the people leading these Company smoke a ton of crack. I think what they should rly do is another old republic game it doesn't need to be an mmo but a story game in that timeline and you need to be able to play it as a sith. And not as one that helps everyone like a jedi i want more actual sith lore the valkorion and malgus stuff is so awesome in the games and even the not so powerful sith are done perfect.
There was another old Republic game. Unfortunately Kotor 3 was cancelled due to what was perceived as performance of Kotor 2.

I loved the game but modern console remake should also freshen up the controls. It felt clunky. Other than that 11/10

The problem isn't the fact that nobody would like the game, but more so the fact that disney will make sure it goes down faster than a house of straw in a tornado.
What about a new version of "Bounty Hunter"? Guess that would hit hard as well. But no, we get stuff like female Han Solo games. But Republic Commando sequel done right in this quality - yes, please.
Am not a fan of stuff like Fortnite, but legit a game which is just campaigns or one huge mission, ie on one planet on battle pass or subscription would do so well. I’d prefer a halo story situation though which allows you to play with aimfor the 3 commandos or your buddies to play would go down a treat

The Aspyr remake was nothing more than a low effort cash grab, like most of their other bullshit releases. They did nothing to make the game better.
There was an actual Republic Commando remake mod a few years ago which had done some pretty amazing work remaking the game into UE4 or 5 (can't remember which one). It looked amazing, but of course, like most good things, it got shafted by Disney and we got the Aspyr trash re-release.
