Sadly those who watch this in 2020 and after Gigidi is no longer making this a comic but writing the rest as a book with some picture bits. It’s still worth reading but we sadly won’t get to see the beautiful artwork for the rest of the story.
I think it's still on hiatus? I remember seeing one of her recent tweets saying that it's still on hiatus. (I think) I saw someone harassing her about if there would be more. I think she deleted the tweet though...

Personally, my favourite webcomic is Lackadaisy, a comic set in the prohibition era with cats. I would highly recommend people see it. And thank you for the great recommendation, I will have to read it

i love both Lackadaisy and Homestuck, and another fav of mine is Paranatural. i'm all caught up with/have finished those, and i've been looking for another webcomic to get into, and Cucumber Quest was reccomended to me so i'm gonna check it out!
Mine’s The Property of Hate, it’s such an underrated webcomic that’s still ongoing, and has consistent updates.

I just discovered this channel. Having looked at some of the videos previously uploaded, I think you do a decent job sharing your thoughts and opinions on animation and pop culture. Now, I don’t know if you’re a Netflix subscriber or if you take requests about what to watch and react to, but I was kind of hoping you could watch and do a review/commentary video for the Netflix original animated series Stretch Armstrong and the flex fighters. I think it’s an outstanding animated series that is flying under the radar and not getting the attention it deserves. If you enjoy science fiction or superhero cartoons like Zevo 3, Ben 10, Static Shock, Spectacular Spider-Man, and Batman beyond, then this show is for you.

I ordered the second and third volumes, I love this series so far!
My personal favourite is Paranatural! Both are on hiveworks! I tried reading Cucumber Quest but dropped it really fast because the plot jumped too quickly and not well paced. But the art and design is beautiful and the lighting and colouring is stunning!
Edit: so after looking at this video and just seeing all the pretty colours and design, I gave it a second shot so now it’s time to eat my words lol. I didn’t know that the comic was satirical, getting back into it now knowing helped clear the pacing of the beginning. So yeah, Cucumber Quest is actually a really good webcomic. Paranatural is still my favourite but Cucumber Quest quickly scaled my ranking! Though I don’t have a tall list to begin with...
what is Paranatural? sounds interesting
Yeah, I highly recommend it. The art in the beginning is a little "ehhh" so it might turn you off but it improves. colouring and paneling is well done and the humour is top notch! Plot is also really interesting and clever. A little difficult to explain but basically Max, our protagonist, moves to a new city and starts middle school and starts seeing phantoms and spirits. He joins a secret school club the Paranatural Activity Club.
The comics got put into a book.
I agree with you on sooo many levels! This webcomics is extremely underrated! It's absolutely hilarious and intriguing! It's so cool and I don't get why there aren't many fans :/

I have a theory.
At the end of the third book, the nightmare knight threatens to end their adventure, but he says he won't, because their adventure is amusing to him.
My theory is this. That wasn't the nightmare knight, that was glitchmaster. When he appears before cucumber and his friends, everything is glitching around him, and he does some weird glitchy magic. In the fourth book, when the nightmare knight says that it was not an act of mercy that he spared cucumber and his friends, behind him in background, we can see that he is thinking about the time he destroyed intermezzo wall, but cucumber seems to be thinking about the time in caboodle's ship. In caboodle's ship, when cosmo disappears, instead of disappearing with fog and stars as the nightmare knight usually does, cosmo disappears in a glitchy way.
And near the end of the fourth book, cosmo asks glitchmaster for an explanation for what happened on the ship. I do not know why glitchmaster would pretend to be the nightmare knight to cucumber and his friends, but I hope that we will find an explanation soon.
You even get to see the concept art of the characters and places in the actual books!

Ah sadly the comic has been discontinued and are now chapter books i think with few pictures. I do happen to own all 4 of the comics which are wonderful, i recommend buying them.

You might enjoy Hooky, it has a similar plot and it’s very cute (at first) and it’s awesome. I’m not good at descriptions but I hope that motivates you to read it

Whoa dude.... SPOILERS. THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE WHY TO READ IT, NOT TALKING ALL OVER IT,
yeah, but I felt the need to be more specific bec it ties into a major theme of the story. There's still plenty of surprises for new readers.
Does it have an ending?
As of now, there isn't an ending. However, it's still incredibly fun to read and I'm pretty sure there will be an ending in the future (once Gigi gets back into working on it, probably on break right now).
As a Berserk fan I am warry of starting things that don't have endings.

Not to be rude, but I find this comic to be too hipster for me to enjoy it and possibly like it. I don't know, maybe it's because of the artstyle supporting my reason or its not my certain taste when it comes the comics storytelling style. Overall i'm not saying I hate it, I just don't see the appeal, other than its "cute."
I'll admit that the story takes its time getting its bearings and setting itself apart from your generic "collect the six thingies to fight the big bad" tale. Even early on, however, I still immensely enjoyed meeting the cast and letting the comic get its bearings - and once it does, it gets *good.* Suffice to say that some of the twists on your "Paper Mario" formula that Gigi initially tries to go for are immensely unexpected and satisfying.
Now I'm wondering how far you read, and more specifically what you like/didn't like. I don't mean to bash - it's not a comic for everyone - but I'm just curious.
