do you have the link from nd4 filter? I can’t find it
I bought that a long time ago and it seems I can't find it now too 😅 but here's a very similar one from Kenko amzn.to/4ajOJCl (affiliate link) which is a bit expensive. I looked at B&H and they have a Tiffen filter that's cheaper but it's on "special order" so I'm not sure how long before they could ship that www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/221551-REG/Tiffen_305ND6_30_5mm_Neutral_Density_ND.html (not an affiliate link)
I would also suggest looking on eBay for "30.5mm ND Filter" there should be some second-hand ones for old digital cameras that might be cheaper
I love how you quietly and calmly back up your reviews and points of view with amazing shots, amazing work.
Oh you’re so kind, I appreciate it, thanks 😊
I havent taken photos in so many years, but I find digital photography so boring and sterile. I just watched another guy’s video that totally deflated me about this camera (which I found on youtube last night and got excited for.) This video has totally re-invigorated my excitement to get this camera.
Thanks! It’s not a bad camera at all, I like mine 😆
Great video!
I'm expecting my H35N from Amazon in late April.
Lens filters are a game changer.
thanks! hope you enjoy it 😊
subbed! your h35n videos convinced me to get one! i looove shooting film my nikon em, but don't carry it with me everywhere due to the size + all my prime lenses. i saw your video on the h35n and realized that it's PERFECT for what i was looking for. i can just keep it in my bookbag or purse and it's ready to go at anytime. excited to get some faster film now since i just now learned nd filters will fit on this cam!! thank you!!
Thanks so much! This being so light and pocketable is definitely a plus haha
Wow, I didn't realise how versatile this camera could be! Very beautiful pictures and handy review
It’s really a surprising little camera 😄 thanks!
Beautiful photos, thank you for the inspiration. I just realised how well the new lens performs under various light conditions. Bulb mode and ability to use filters really expand the capabilities of the H35N. With this lens, adding some simple zone focusing would be the next step while maintaining the price reasonable. Well done, RETO!
Thanks for watching!
Gracias!
This is unbelievably helpful. I’ve ordered the H35N specifically for a trip to vegas this month (didn’t want to lug around my ME Super but still wanted to use a 35mm camera for the trip). This video specifically covered my dilemma of shooting inside and outside in vegas on a single chosen ISO. Going to order the same ND filter and film. Thank you!
Oooh glad to have helped! Have fun on your trip 🤩
Really liked those night shots towards the end. #kodakh35n
Thanks! It was worth going out on a cold winter night to get those shots for sure haha
I cant believe the filter thread isnt something kodak is shouting about and not release a pack that has the filters in it.
Right? I’d buy a set of filter for sure 😆
Great reviews, thank you! Doing my research as I have one arriving. Will any 30.5mm filter fit? Thanks
Thanks! 😊
As long as they are the general, screw-on 30.5mm filters, they should fit (there are other types like the bayonet filters for TLR cameras like the Yashica MAT series which won’t fit)
Love your videos. Just bought my H35N because of you.
Im going to use on my Skii Trip! Here is for hoping for good photos!
What film do you recommend for snow places? 200 gold or 400 ultramax?
Thanks! Snow reflects a lot of light, so on the two you mentioned, I’d go for Gold 200. Personally, I’d probably go for Ektar 100, Lomography colour negative 100, or Reflex Lab Pro 100 😄 have fun!
@@Bonsees thank you!
if you want a high quality automatic half frame the olympus EE3, blows the ektar camera out of the water... and they is the EED if you want a built in flash
Like your mic holder!
There is supposedly an Ilfocolor half frame disposable - I am looking for one.
You should be able to find old 30.5 filters in junk boxes at old line camera shops - if you having near you…
Great Vegas shots from a low-tech camera!
Thanks! I haven’t heard of an ilfocolor half frame disposable but I’ve tried their ilfocolor disposable. It’s pretty much like other disposables 😅
@@Bonsees Freestyle Photo sells it in the US. My camera just arrived.
@@michaelbruchas6663 nice! Have fun 🤩
Wow this is great! Im still playing around with my kodak ektar any other recs for lens or other add ons?
I’ve been thinking about getting a UV filter which I could draw on with coloured markers on the side to get that colour shift effect some people do 😆
Would these also work on the first version? Lovely shots, by the way :)
Sadly, it does not~ thanks 🙏🏼
Early 🙌 ❤
Thanks always 😊
@@Bonsees no problem!!! ❤️ 🤗
Interesting question,
I have 2 smartphone lenses that I think would go perfectly with a film camera, but I actually don't what the millimeters are for those lenses.
Do you mean those lenses that attach to your phone’s camera or lens filters? If it’s the former, I’d suggest doing some research because a phone’s sensor is way smaller than film so the lenses made for those won’t cover the whole film at all. Also, the distance from a phone lens and the phone sensor tend to be narrower than the distance film cameras have between lenses and the film plane so focusing will be a challenge (it’s why some lenses can’t be adapted to other cameras). It’s a bit complicated but hope this makes sense 😅
Can you recommend any labs for 35mm half frame film development and scan in toronto?
I’ve sent my half-frames for development to Graination (in Spadina, Chinatown), Downtown Camera (DTC) (Queen st, Moss Park), and Aden Camera (Yonge, College Park)
From my experience, Graination & Aden scans each frames separately so you get individual photos, while DTC scans the one whole frame so you get two photos in one. I prefer the individual scans because you can be sure the scanning will be accurate for each image. I just put two images together in post if I want to make diptychs. But if you want to just get two images in one photo right off the bat, go with DTC.
I’ve mostly gone to DTC, but I now have a bias for Graination 😂
Can I use filters from other brands like Fujicolor 200 135/36, Ilford Roll HP5 Plus 135/36, Ilford Roll XP2 135/36 or Fujifilm Rolls Speria X-TRA 400 36. It does not damage the camera or lose quality by using rolls from other brands that are not Kodak, right? Is there a machine I can buy that develops camera rolls for digital or printed photo at home without having to go to a store?
Yes, you can use films from other brands, but I recommend those with ISO between 100 and 200. If you wanna use 400 and 800 in sunny conditions, you can use an ND filter.
As for developing and scanning at home, it’s a little complicated. There’s no one machine that will do it for you, it’s a whole process, like buying chemicals, darkroom tools, etc. then scanning tools and software that will colourize your scans. You can check “developing film at home” videos here on CZcams, but I really recommend going to a lab first
I was thinking about buying the Kodak just to have fun with my friends and to take on trips because it is a cheap and practical machine to use. I haven't bought an h35 yet because I have an Olympus Superzoom Super Zoom 105 camera. What films do you recommend using with the Olympus. Can I use the same 35mm films with ISO between 100 and 200 as the Kodak h35n?
i wanna ask if these 30.5 mm filter can apply on H35 as well😿
They don’t 🥲
The lens of kodak h35n are the same size as the h35?
Same focal length (22mm) but the H35N has a glass element so it’s sharper
What we need is a 30.5 mist filter... what do you think? 🤭
Haha maybe! but I feel like the lens is lofi enough 😂
link for h35 n lens filters amazon es pls
I can’t seem to find one on Amazon ES. You might have better chances on eBay 🥲
Another thing you can do is buy a bigger filter like a 37mm ND4 filter amzn.eu/d/5uCQDlG and a 37mm to 30.5mm step up ring adapter amzn.eu/d/dyD4eij
Would you be interested in shooting some reels for my business ? Film related and paid of course
