" Android 15 adds support for a new Eyes Free videography extension that locks and stabilizes a given region or object of interest." This is a great news for MotionCam Pro
If you guys could do H265 50, 75, 100mbps that would be incredible. The processing from RAW to something shareable right now takes time. Yet having a high-bitrate option with customisable settings (sharpness, noise reduction etc) would greatly speed up the process but also make it more accessible. I just used this on my P6Pro and I was amazed by how much better the footage looked
I wonder if it's possible to implement BRAW encoding on the phone with motioncam. Blackmagic allows for implementations of BRAW, since they have full documentation about its format. BRAW, just like prores, doesn't use GPU for encoding, so it should be doable on modern Android CPUs. The advantage of using BRAW is that its 8:1 and 12:1 compression levels should play well with Android's internal storage, and that it would be possible to edit them on Resolve directly, without having to use any conversion app (which is what users prefer). On top of that, Resolve doesn't support Prores raw, so having BRAW as the standard, makes it editable on Linux as well (where Resolve doesn't support h.264/5 either in its free version).
Any chance of implementing compressed video but with better than stock quality? with low nr etc. as a replacement video recorder for android? Raw is great but might not be practical for the casual captures.
theres an option for the full usage of the phone sensor (yes). i would imagine if a camera has a REAL 8k sensor then you would be able to try doing that
@@MotionCam tried it, but for example in scene 3 the window I can't get to be exposed normally (ie not too bright) without flattening the entire picture)
@@MotionCam It'd be nice to see how MC works on any of the new phones with the so (incorrectly) called "1-inch" sensor: Sony Xperia Pro-I, Oppo Find X6 Pro, Xiaomi 12S U/13U/13 Pro, Vivo X90 Pro/Pro+, Sharp Aquos R6/R7... and also curious about Sony Xperia 1 V and Samsung S23U.
I tried the app, it's great but RAW just takes up too much space, about 10 minutes worth of footage compared to the usual 90 minutes. It just makes it unusable on my phone.

Well, one thing is for sure. You have managed to shoot the worst BMPCC 4K footage I've ever seen. And I'm not even talking about the framerate. Don't get me wrong, MCRAW is an absolutely stunning app, and honestly showcases just how badly smartphone makers cripple their cameras in the name of efficiency and user-friendliness. I've been using it myself with my S23 U+, and the output is, well, stunningly good. That being said, the BMPCC cams are no slouch. And yet, you've somehow managed to make the footage look like it was shot on a smartphone. Huh? Me thinks the MCRAW team needs to work on their marketing skills a little. This app should be the number one app for mobile filmmaking, period. The power under the hood is there. Showasing that power? Not so much. I see dollar bills slipping out of your deserving hands.
Damn this app is the best thing happened to smartphone cameras since smartphones.... can't wait to see a full movie shot with this app!
Thanks, is just a matter of time now :)
you should get the best app of the decade award !!! amazing !!!
Incredible..my two favorite cameras 😍

There is a work in progress to direct capture in ProRes format :) more info on Discord

They allow for decoding only. Thanks for suggestion, but wont be possible for now
How is the post workfollow perfomance with macbook m1 chip
Try RAW video on Sony Xperia 1
Hi, are there any significant differences between Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel 7?
Any chance of implementing compressed video but with better than stock quality? with low nr etc. as a replacement video recorder for android? Raw is great but might not be practical for the casual captures.
This is a complex topic, is not an yes or not answer :)
Amazing
Very good!
Very Nice!!!
Granada Spain?!
Yes
Can it do higher than 4K video on phones that support it? Or would we need to upscake 4K?
8K cDNG sounds ridiculous, but tempted if possible.
Some phones can capture close to 6k, like Mi 10 Series, for more you can learn on our Discord

Ouu, so good quality 👍👍
🔥🔥💯💯
Does pixel 7 pro has telephoto support in motion cam
Yes, Pixel 7 Pro allows all lenses to be used by third party apps!
part of me doesnt believe this
whats the bitrate on the Pixel footage?
you have the source files in description! you can test yourself! raw has all the bitrate :)
How does it work with Sony Xperia 1 iv and will this ever be compatible with Exynos phones
The app is working with Xperia 1 IV, Regarding Exynos, only S22U is compatible (because Samsung decided to fix it)
@@MotionCam It´s compatible with S22+ Exynos also, I can confirm.
@@MotionCammy s23 ultra exynos works too
wow really nice 😀
Any lut applied on both footage?
no, but nodes were used to match the 2 types of raws (in description you can download the source files)
Can you maybe provide the project file for davinci? Would like to learn how to grade and that would probably help a lot!
Try to check the source files, the project files I don't have it anymore. But who knows maybe in the future.
@@MotionCam tried it, but for example in scene 3 the window I can't get to be exposed normally (ie not too bright) without flattening the entire picture)
And which phone is the best In quality using motioncam?
In terms of quality most of the phones deliver good performance! For more you can learn on our Discord

I don't get it if Pixel 7 pro is using a customised Exynos gpu called Tensor G2 why is motioncam not optimizatized to work with s21 ultra exynos
Is the other way around! For example is working for S22 Ultra (Exynos version) because Samsung decided to fix this reported issue! Cheers

Should try with Sony Xperia 1 devices. It has one of the best camera and best display (not the brightest)
I wanna see motion cam from the xperia 1 V that just came out. It has the best video ive seen on any smartphone straight out of the camera.
@@nathancasey7712 that'd be interesting, think it's got a 1 inch sensor
Is pixel 6a compatible with this camera?
We know Pixel6 is working, so in theory also 6a should!
Pixel 4 xl compatible
6a also should
yes
Damn
when will we see footage from Xiaomi mi 13? (
guys share it pls
