    Very nice ! Thanks for sharing ! Wish you showed the glueing of covers and pockets like what glue you used and where do you put glue on front and back covers . Some people put glue on edges or all over the paper . It looks beautiful !

    • @debbieanneEVG
      @debbieanneEVG  Před 2 lety +1

      I may have described that in other videos, but it's really a personal preference; I typically only glue edges to avoid bubbling, and even use double sided tape. Thanks for watching.

  • @sandral.2828
    @sandral.2828 Před 2 lety +1

    Very clear instructions! Thank you! How many sheets of paper did you use for this journal?

    • @debbieanneEVG
      @debbieanneEVG  Před 2 lety +1

      I don't remember exactly as it was years ago, but I typically use 8 to 12 pages per signature, depending on whether or not they're going to be decorated (the embellishments you add and thickness of paper should be factored into the number of pages otherwise your book ends up a bit too bulky to close nicely). Thank you for watching!

  • @Canadian693
    @Canadian693 Před 5 lety

    Love this idea and definitely going to make a few! TFS! Why did you not sew the signature in first, then glue the lace to the cover, this way the cord would be hidden, just a thought! Thanks again!

    • @debbieanneEVG
      @debbieanneEVG  Před 5 lety +2

      Both ways work! I went with exposing the twine because I like wrapping this type of sheer lace up and over the top and bottom of the cover instead of cutting it or folding it on itself on the outside. Wrapping it like I did can only be done before the signature is sewn in.

  • @maxinedayhuff308
    @maxinedayhuff308 Před 20 dny

    Perhaps I missed you telling how many pages you had in the signature. I hope I can find a legal size hanging file. I like the elastic closure and the one hole attaching the signatures.

    • @debbieanneEVG
      @debbieanneEVG  Před 19 dny +1

      I typically put 8 to 12 pages per signature in my journals, of average weight paper. The elastic closure is great because it accomodates the journal if you start filling it with extra cards and tags. Thank you for watching, let me know if you have any more questions :)

    Newbie question, on what kind of paper should i print your kits? And, can i print them at a Store like bureau en gros / staples? Sorry, hope i don’t sound stupid. Thanks.

    • @debbieanneEVG
      @debbieanneEVG  Před rokem

      Sorry it took me so long to reply. Here's a video where i talk about my favourite paper. You can absolutely go to Staples or other print store with a zip drive. They can tell you what type of paper they use. czcams.com/video/cuCc_yPOj3Y/video.html

  • @junekazama7
    @junekazama7 Před 2 lety +1

    What kind of glue did you use to attach the papers to the file folder?

    • @debbieanneEVG
      @debbieanneEVG  Před 2 lety +2

      I was a big fan of Scotch Create glue at the time, but have since stopped using it (I don't like the wrinkling on thinner paper) and just keep Fabri-Tac on hand for most of the gluing to keep it simple. It works on just about everything.

  • @donnathomas5649

    Do you print the pages on regular paper or cardstock? I tried to find them on Etsy but couldn't find them

    • @debbieanneEVG
      @debbieanneEVG  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Hi Donna, I've been updating my shoppe so it's possible some kits aren't available at the moment. I use different weights of matte photo paper when printing on an inkjet. There are a few videos on my channels about this if you search my playlists. Thank you for watching! Debbie

    Do you have a laser or ink jet printer. 😊 I'm in the market for either butt want the best for digital images.

    • @debbieanneEVG
      @debbieanneEVG  Před 7 dny

      I have both. The laser prints are waterproof so you can coffee or tea stain them. The inkjet images are not, but sometimes that doesn't matter. It depends on what you want to get out of it. 🙂
