  • Is the 2010 BMW 328i E90 still a good daily driver?
    Or will this become a money pit? I needed a new daily drive and a budget of $10,000. Here’s my 6 month review. Did I make the best choice?

    I just hit half a deer with my 11 328i. Thought I definitely blew my car up. Got off the highway, not a scratch. Just in case you wondered if a a BMW can survive hitting half a deer laying in the road in the Georgia mountains.

    Picked one up from Copart for $1,600, 114k miles. Only the rear bumper and far back side was hit, but it was easily fixable. $700 later I have a decent looking car, and that's including the rebuilt title fee. So basically $2,300 for a low mileage and somewhat reliable car, it's hard to beat 👍

      when did you pick it up? I wanna get low mileage 335i from auction, specifically a lci e90 and beige or black interior only and under 70k miles for around 5-10k but my dads saying I should just get a 340i when did you get a e90 tho? and was it 328 or higher

    I loved the video! You have touched on all questions that had. I always had brand new bmw but lately I wanted something old school like my old e90 335i, since 335s are so unreliable im looking at 328 2011 last generation. Thank u man!!!

    Looks significantly better than stock 205.
    Most reliable car I’ve owned.

    Just got an 2011 and I like it alot mine has 18” wheels and was lowered. Did all my fluid changes, plugs and cleaned the vanos, if your idle gets rough look them up… easy to clean or replace. Compared to my 08 Mustang I think the BMW is way better driving experience wise. Not sure what you mean by not fun to drive. Mines a blast.

    • @kaiju_track_experience
      @kaiju_track_experience  Před rokem

      Fun is a relative term to the person driving it. It’s certainly better than a same era acura or lexus and mine was stock - on oem suspension. Did you get a manual? I feel that would help the engagement factor.

      Last month, I traded my 2016 Mustang V6 for a 2010 with 16500 miles and detailed Carfax. Had a Miata prior to that too. Agree with the better driving experience in the BMW.

    They can be money pits but then again if you do your own maintenance its not so bad. Paid $7400 for a N51 328i E90 with 73k miles back in June of 2020. Still driving. I've done a lot of work on it. Just noticed the coolant tank is leaking around the seam (98k miles now) so went ahead and ordered a replacement. I love the car. Nice to work on. Timeless design.

    Engine cover leaks, oil pan leaks, oil filter housing leaks, steering leaks, differential leaks, tire leaks, even wiper leaks ................................ I mean, everything leaks. But but, with automatic, it is the most fun car ever. If it had maybe 50 more horsepower it would be almost like track car. You press on accelerator, you don't hear thing (it is quiet), you think you are driving 50 miles an hour and suddenly you look and you are at 80 miles an hour, and you don't feel thing, but it is flying. Transmission is GM, very reliable, more reliable then ZF, but also bit slower. Well, you put it in sport mode and there you have your first gear. I don't trust that 27 miles per gallon for 1 second. Computer is not correct, even if it is highway miles. Brakes are the best ever. Suspension is crap in terms of reliability.

    Never heard of a 328i with an N52? N52 is a 3litre 6, 260brake and fast! 6 speed auto that's is quick, not as quick as the 8 speed but goes! 17 inch wheels with a 40 profile is also the norm! Dont know where you got that One from?
