I have not beaten Andrea of Thoralf, but I did get the top answer to the "most reprints" question, which I am proud of.
same, Pacifism was too easy for old players :)
Me too
Same! I just guessed Pacifism because I have so many different varieties of it. It was a staple of any of my early decks.
I guessed this right solely based on how many copies of Pacifism I own from different sets, despite never once having played it or wanted to play it.
Same. It seemed obvious though just because it's such a staple effect.
Food isn't a creature type even though it is on ginger brute, it is still an artifact type, similar to how shrine is still an enchantment type.
Boom! Thank you for this. If they just worded it to types that appear on a creature the questions works the way they intended.
It would be "food golem"
Yes exactly, you can't name food for cavern of souls for example.
Tell that to oko
@@mercadepalmer6967 in the verbal explanation that's what was said
Guys, you forgot one card with the highest mana value in magic: Gleemax, coming in at 1,000,000 mana to cast, is easily the highest.
That's the one I was thinking of, too!
More in likely he was asking for "tournament legal" which Gleemax does not qualify.
@@xana3961 He did not specify tournament legal so ClipOnBowTies is technically correct!
I do wish one of them had said Gleemax just so they could have argued about it :3
We actually said tournament legal during the recording and it was cut out in editing 💁♂️
commenting so the bosses know i definitely want more of this!!! you guys have very quickly become my favorite magic channel- keep it up 🥰
Thank you! That's very kind :D
Do a “Match the text box to the card” next!
That's a great idea! 😃 Thanks
You need to find out their favorite artist and change the artist on the card.
The zoomed question or a variety of pixelating the image and slowly going back to normal are really great questions
The one about changing their favourite artist is absolutely wonderful! Hope you don't mind if we steal that for the next guest :)
Zooming-in is a great idea, but showing those snow mountains seems cruel. I wonder if there are even more cryptic zooming-ins, or maybe some unrecognizable mist from an obscure art of a basic land xD
Thoralf is best magic guy knower
Also true without the last word. Thoralf is best magic guy (he's a little magical guy).
I was assuming the card with the most printings was Pacifism because it's been in so many supplemental products, but was very surprised that Giant Spider was in last place among those cards. Wouldn't have thought there were so many different Ponders and definitely didn't have Howling Mine on my radar as #2.
Howling mine blew me away as well when I was creating the quiz 🤯
This should be a weekly Gameshow. I would totally tune in every week.
I swear this youtube channel reminds me of Linus before going solo with LTT. Not only you are awesome youtube you seems to absolutely love what you're doing.
Haha Mengucci's reaction in the end on Thoralf squeezing in between his guess.
This was an absolute joy to watch! Fantastic questions, I can't wait to watch more :)
I'm so glad I stumbled upon this channel randomly around the time this kind of content started to come out. There's bee some significant growth since then I believe
This is an amazing series, keep it up!
I love this channel so much. Your content is so entertaining and wholesome ❤
I love these, they’re always super fun!
Love the various gameshow videos. So much fun!
Got nine points tied with thoralf!
Got wasteland on second image, that tree is pretty iconic, but I'm so bad with prices lol
As someone who plays Elementals and is probably one of the only people who has a copy of Temur Omnath in their list, I was so happy to see that
I use him for my landfall fall elemental deck in edh its not the best but he's fun
@@maxterchefe thats what we want !
Nice, always cool to see Andrea here!
UMM ACTUALLY
Food isn’t a creature type, even though it’s on Gingerbrute. The same way that Go-Shintae doesn’t have any creature types because Shrine is an Enchantment Type.
Love the series though, definitely itching for more content like this.
Managed to rack up 11 points! Definetly thought giant spider would have had more reprints even if it doesn't have the most though.
Love the idea, I will be happy to see more similar videos :)
Y'all have gotten me back into magic after covid. So any money cardmarket gets from selling me cards will be a direct result of this channel.
very fun video, really enjoyed watching it :)
maybe another thing you could ask them is the power and toughness of some rather random creatures or something like that 😄
This series lets me feel like im a genius please make moooooooooore
seeing thoralf kick his feet in joy was heartwarming
Technically, food is not a creature type but an artifact type
Yeah, we had Frank Karsten in the room who let us know afterwards, but it was too late 😅 It's ok, it's close enough to get the point of the game as it's on a creature and we would have awarded the points accordingly if one of the two players had pointed it out ;)
@@CardmarketMagic acceptable
That was fun! Great questions! I knew Draco because I play it in my Yuriko commander deck. ;-)
these episodes are a lot of fun to watch very cool
1- Never played with this card, 0 idea.
2- Pacifism, easy. They always print it for limited balancing.
3- Uhh, I thought there was also a wolf howling at the moon.
4- Sponge. Oops, did not play that long ago.
5- The dude’s horse running away.
6- I know barely anything about lore, pass.
7- It can also target enchantments.
8- On the 2nd artwork, I also thought it was some Ice Age land like Andrea. Could not get it until the full art.
9- Draco. I remember considering running it in Show and Tell with the Enter the Ants combo to win. But Emrakul is just better if you go with casting it to win off Omniscience. Unless this is a trick question, and we’re talking about the Un card that costs like a million or something.
10- uhhh, 25 euros? Idk man I haven’t played in a while.
I knew the first one about Omnath, as I have a commander deck with him as the commander
Since they didn't specify that the unsets weren't allowed as answers, Gleemax from Unhinged technically has the most mana cost in MtG. ;)
This is such a good series.
I'm fairly new to MTG, but I at least understand the basics. I'm also new to this channel, but I just gotta say I highly enjoy watching these videos of magic. My favorite mtg vids are the staple or stinker since I've played Yu-Gi-Oh longer than mtg.
8:12 I was absolutely convinced that it was Winter Orb
4:04 I mean the way this question is phrased on screen, food is also correct. There might be a food creature, but food is still an artifact type, not a creature type. It's just like with shrines.
Andrea, I guessed Wasteland before the video even started! That's how good I am.
the champion of cardmarket magic knows a lot of magic, yes.
I see Andrea and I see cardmarket.
I'm going to watch it regardless of what it's actually about.
A cool new format : )
I got 7 points (counting Gleemax instead of Draco because you didn’t say legal in the video), but apparently _vastly_ underestimated how much an Emrakul costs. The only reason I got the most printings one is because when I first got into Magic, I somehow ended up with 4 different versions of Pacifism.
i just learned that draco with cmc 16 is apperantly more expensive than 1 million on gleemax
The wasteland I was shouting out at the top of my lung as soon as I saw the treebranch in picture 1
Und dann sagt Toffel auch noch 29, same 😅🤣
I got wasteland on my first guess. I don't know as many magic cards so maybe it makes it easier for me. I just remember looking at decklists back in the day and seeing this in so many of them.
hahah what a great episode
I guessed Wasteland in the second frame. You told me to tell you.
My first guess was Trapdoor Spider in the first picture.
My man Andrea looking like Marcello Mastroianni over here. Must be the glasses
amazing ! i love this so much im at 6 point ! got wasteland in second image the first sooo hard
Super fun ty !
My husband's answers:-
1. Hmm looks the same, it's a white mana symbol, not a 1?? [0]
2. Giant Spider [1]
3. A man? [0]
4. Architect [1]
5. Knights horse running away [1]
6. Drink this brother, it will give you rest, she gave it to him? [1]
7. Can also be enchantments [1]
8. Wasteland [2]
9. Draco [1]
10. £46 [0]
He was super happy with this, love these quiz videos.
I even got 1/10 (non player!)
8 points, not counting the final price question, pretty good
I managed to get placed in my personal championship after Thoralf and Andrea, having netted a nice round score of 0 points.
I actually guessed the wasteland from that branch. I could've sworn Andrea gets it as well for how many wastelands he has played over the years.
I got 7 points (4 points on pacifism).
the reprint question was a vicious one... Cuz' for years, giant spider had the reputation of being the most reprinted card
It was a purposely-placed red herring ;)
Lol i got wasteland on 3pts and pacifism. I believe i got 9 points total. This episode was right up my alley.
i tied with Thoralf, only because i got Pacifism right, that one was easy
I watch these videos despite knowing nothing about magic
Only one I did better at was guessing Wasteland on the 2nd shot
Good episode guys! Happy enough with 6, but I really should have got FoV smh. Went a fair bit over on Emmy's price oops 😬
I got the picture of wasteland! I just bought one recently so that may have helped lol
I got wasteland first try ;) serves me right for only playing vintage and legacy for a decade
How about you each build a deck using a classic/old keyword that is not going to be reused, something like horsemanship, banding or fate seal. Real oldschool type stuff. Bonus point for the deck being themed
I’m so glad I guessed Wasteland from the first picture.
Please, everyone, subscribe, don't let this channel ever go away.
My answers
1st Question; His hands are a different colour (0 Points)
2nd Question; Pacifism (4 Points)
3rd Question; I Have No Idea (0 Points)
4rd Question; Architect (1 Point) I knew Sponge because of another of your videos, I thought Food would be too obvious, and I knew about Craven Hulk from Mtg Arena.
5th Question; A Boar (0 Points)
6th Question; The man was not a raven (0 Points)
7th Question; It costs 3 generic and 2 green (0 Points)
8th Question; Snowfall, Rite of Flame (0 Points)
9th Question; Gleemax (1 Point) YOU DIDN"T SAY SILVER BORDERS WEREN'T ALLOWED SO I'M TAKING THE POINT ANYWAY
10th Question; $29 (1 Point)
7 Points, so tied for second I suppose?
The highest mana value in MTG is Gleemax though, not Draco! :O
My performance
Q1: No points
Q2: 4 Points
Q3: No points
Q4: 1 Point
Q5: 1 Point
Q6: No points
Q7: 1 Point
Q8: 1 Point
Q9: No points
Q10: 1 Point (I actually guessed 28, my hype level was through the roof)
I beat them both with a 9 pointer! Hardcarried by Pacifism of course.
More zoomed in art quizzes please!
If you allow unsets:
Draco: Has a high mana cost
GLEEMAX: ha, get on my level
TELL SUITS WE WANT MOAR :D
Thoralf's sock at the end. lol. I got 0 points. Or 4 quantum points. Because I was thinking pacifism but I never committed to it.
I guessed correctly the Wasteland on 2 points though. I thought it was something with Kjeldoran card in it 3 point picture
You forgot about Gleemax as most mana cost card :D
I beat both of them, but missed on Blood Moon, the liliana lore, the most expensive cmc mtg card, and the emrakul price. The most reprint one giving 4 points was huge, and I got the zoomed in image question on the 2nd option for 2 points.
Yes I realized afterwards that maybe the multiple points questions have a little too much weight if one get's them right 🤔 still! Congradulation on beating both of them! :)
I love this channel
Yo next time show them Ulamog the Infinite Gyre but photoshop a diaper on him trust me man it's a classic
Knowing the answer to the most reprinted card is OP, I got 8 points but only by knowing the answer to 5/10 questions. Half the points come from getting just one question right.
Do you think we should stop awarding multiple points in the next ones? 🤔
Those guys indeed know magic
I went Gleemax for the most expensive card. I don't think you're going to beat a mana value of 1,000,000.
Unfortunately, it's not a magic card. It's a supplemental product and is not legal in any format. But it's a super fun card still :)
The Omnath edit is a had a pretty significant error in templating. Legends only spell out the full card name once in the text box, so since the first effect gives the full name out, the second if true would just say "Whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control put a +1/+1 counter on Omnath..."
Most players probably only know that subconsciously though, I suppose that is just something that comes from just reading a lot of Magic cards.
That is true, but I can confidently say that the two players in the video have probably read more magic cards than almost anyone in the world 😮
that was sick
I guessed pacifism and wasteland at first picture. Got force of vigor and draco too. But none of the rest. Lost to thoralf by guessing flat 30 on the last.
I got the pacifism one, but I didn't keep score otherwise.
Mengu is Hilarious hahahah
I’ve guessed wasteland in less than a second. Is there a price for me?😂
Yes you get 3 points! 🥳😅
how did all three of these people not realize that food isn't a creature type
4:00 Based on how this question is worded, both Food and Architecht are legal answers since Food is an artifact type, not a creature type.
Yeah 😅 I looked at an online creature type list for the answer. Looks like they got it wrong as well. No matter 🙂 no one picked it. Also, Frank Karsten was in the room and pointed it out afterwards, but much too late to reshoot
I got 4 points!
Guessed Howling mine and got wasteland on the last attempt.
I guess I don't know Magic.
Technically Andrea isn't wrong about Belzenlok teaching Liliana if you ask a member of the Cabal
Yep. I beat both of them. Mainly because I got the "most reprints" question correct (in fact I got all 4 in the correct order).
We'll still count it as a win!
I just wanna say Gleemax has 1,000,000 CMC 🤣🤣🤣 no one said we couldnt use the Un-Sets
1st time i beat both of them!! Scored 10 points and i got wasteland on the 2 pointer
fun fact! Food isn’t a creature type, it’s an artifact type. You can’t name “Food” (or “Shrine” or “Treasure”) for any effect that asks you to name a creature type.
What are you sure??
I mean the haste cookie is a creature...
@@RobMedellin straight from the mtg website:
Food is an artifact type. Even though it appears on some creatures (such as Gingerbrute), it's never a creature type.
@@crimerslimer thanks!

Thank you for your contribution! :)
Love you Mengu🇮🇹
I recognized Wasteland Immediately
Well... Over Draco is Gleemax mana cost! 😂
Damn, i'm bad at this, but the right answer fot the mana cost should had been Aladdin's lamp at 55
