  • In this episode of “More Than You Asked For,” Kim and Jimmy, alongside special guest Pastor Jimmy Evans, answer the MTYAF listener question: “It seems like “trauma” has become a “buzz word” in our culture and can be used to describe any and every level of hurt. I am aware that our past experiences do shape our current perspective but there is also a lot of bad advice out there on how to address trauma and where to turn to for healing. How do I grow in self awareness to recognize when a past trauma is having a present negative impact in my life today? What are some practical, proactive steps that I can take to get freedom from my past experiences? Does everything HAVE to be trauma?” Together, these three incredible pastors discuss how to experience inner healing from traumas of the past and how God will walk beside you along the way. Be sure to check out the show notes for resources, links, and way more details than you asked for! Do you have a question you’d like Kim & Jimmy to answer? I'm a born again spirit filled Christian and rebelled and satan attacked me onecnight and died and experienced hell. That's just one traumatic experience I've had. I've suffered for over 20 years with excruciating pain. I believe this is real trauma. If you haven't suffered from excruciating pain don't talk about it because your ignorant.

I prayerfully ask all of you to research trauma. So much of what you have said is just untrue. Many people suffer childhood trauma and don't even remember it and it effects their life in danaging ways even if they do not realize it. Please do not trivialize trauma. Certainly the world is overused today but there are truly trauma suffers that may listen to this and not feel the love of Christ because of your words. I was sexually abused as a child and just remembered it a few yesmars ago. I am 56 years old. Thank you. Beth

These are serious questions for a lot of hurting people. What I’m hearing is a lot of very inappropriate laughter and giggling. Please stop that. It doesn’t belong. And it can be irritating to those asking the questions. Thank you.
