Its a nice soothing yet haunting piece that I could listen to for awhile and I really like how it keeps the first Revelations theme with the violin.

I love how the first game's sounds all underwater, while this one sounds all distorted and dark. Really evokes the atmosphere of the game.

The abyss of the ocean and the distortion of fear, both capture a feeling of dark dread in their own way. Very unique concepts for a series that needs to refresh itself as often as Resident Evil.
I hope there will be a third one

Revelations 1 took place on the sea, its emblematic of that game. Then goes to distorted symbolizing this game

I think its a part of the 1st Resident Evil: Revelations main theme as said in the description
Revelations 2 is by far my favorite RE game, it just has this rusty, filthy, abandoned atmosphere to it that I have never seen before in the series. You can intuitively sense the unspeakable and horrific events of human suffering that have happened in the various locations of the game, and it feels like the farther you go, the deeper it drags you down a rabbit hole of terror. The monsters, too, fit in to the environment perfectly, with their bloated, mutilated rotting forms stapled together with rusted metal and leaking pus, bearing the markings of the most nightmarish, depraved, and sadistic acts of torture and human experimentation imaginable. These were truly some of the most stomach wrenching abominations the series has ever produced. Even the parts outside are super creepy, with the only light struggling to pierce the dark haze that hangs over the dilapidated, crumbling soviet bloc architecture and horrific, tortured monstrosities lurking at every corner. I believe Revelations 2 does a better job of capturing the full nightmarish and stomach-turning terror of human experimentation than any other game not only in the resident evil series but also beyond. It is truly a masterpiece and I cannot recommend it enough. It is truly proof that resident evil never truly lost sight of its horror roots.

The feelings Revelations 2 invokes are a lot like the ones you'd get from being at a place like Auschwitz, you know horrible things have been done there and you can see the results of those horrible acts everywhere you go. However, the purpose of it is different from a place like Auschwitz, one is essentially an industrialization of the act of killing people while the other is a mad attempt by someone who KNOWS they're going to die to claim some form of immortality no matter the means or depths.

This game. This fucking magnificent game! It was the first time in years that I felt like I was truly playing a Resident Evil title again. To me, it was a literal redemption of the series, because I'd officially given up all hope of playing a GOOD Resident Evil game until I actually played the game. I only even gave this game a chance because someone said it was survival horror again. I'm so glad I took a chance.
The soundtrack was also one of the best in years!
+Cenobite1991 I agree completely! It also gave me some real hope that they can scrounge what they can to really tie up the Wesker story line that they nearly wasted with RE5 :)

Yes, there are little things that I hate, but it compensates with responsive controls, great atmosphere, awesome OST, solid storyline, and compelling character development.

It's because it had a low budget therefore it had to be episodic and a lot of people do not like episodic games. Nevertheless it'd stiill a great game.

This game has special place in my heart. One of the best RE games so far. Really like switching system between two characters(which is new on RE COOP games) and new coop experience. One character responsibility is battle and second support. Played with girlfiend. I think you know who played support who fighter. :) This title has very enigmatic soundttracks and place for game. The best on RE universe for now i think. This game has nice history line, you cant wait to play further, you dont expect anything. Enough of me. Can't wait for revelations 3.

I really love the Revelations series. The stories in these two titles are really the best in the series, not to mention the atmospheres in both games. I love how 2 not only brought Claire back into the spotlight, but also finally gave Barry Burton his moment to shine and my God did he shine in this game. "I'll always need you, but for now, I'VE GOT THIS!"
They perfectly fit the memes into the game.
Revelations 1 was trash to me but I actually really enjoyed 2 the combat is great and then raid mode was 100% perfected

A very underrated title. Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is such a good game that it left some of the fans who played and liked it very excited after the certain failure that was Resident Evil 6.

My god I love this melody. I started playing revelations 2 today and was pleasantly surprised with how interesting and truly scary it is. This is my first Resident Evil game outside of the mainline series and I absolutely love it and can't believe I didn't play it sooner. I also plan on playing the first revelations, code veronica, the dark side chronicles, and the other resident evil games. Thanks for posting this beautiful music. It reminds me of silent hill and Anita Yamaoka's style and talent of making a melody sound haunting yet beautiful and otherworldly.

+Helvecio Gomes Yeah, this was a great addition to the RE family. I felt like it brought back that sense of dread when you were playing the missions. It's been a while since I felt apprehension in opening a door on a video game.

Around two years ago, i went thrugh RE 0-7, including the Revelations series to prepare myself for the next installment. I have to say, out of all themes...the Revelations one really stuck to me. The first one especially. Like all the beautiful music of the RE franchise combined into one theme.

I wonder if Capcom is taking inspiration from the work of leyland kirby, with all of the Reverb and mixes that make You think of the exact same song from the past, but somehow, with the unnerving feeling of confussion and desperation. Im really excited to see what they do for the 3rd Game of this magnificent spinoff, and wich author the villian Will take inspiration for their plans.

Didn't think the menu music from the original Revelations could get any better. Capcom proved me wrong. The small subtle changes make it so much more vibrant and upgraded. This game was very underrated. I must say, I hated the episode format.
