• Join me on this adventure, and let's tame some ancient species and incredible dinosaurs! If you're new to the game or have never played Ark, this video will be perfect for you because I'm far from an Ark veteran and I'll make the game easy to understand and enjoy. Make sure to see what level they are before teaming because they will die like very fast
One more if you get a cooking pot and put wood in it and set it then you will be able to get free items like bathing suits and all that
Absolutely delighted to see you playing ARK, it's one of my favourite games of all time, and it's so nice to see new players coming to it. I also have to say that for a new player, you did really well, especially with the building, which is a common pain for ARK players. I really hope you play more, and this video (and hopefully, series!) gets the recognition it deserves!

@@Tootsie22 No, not at all, there's a mod that a huge percentage of players use called Structures Plus which I highly recommend, it makes building a bit easier and less painful, and the mod is also just really useful with some QualityOfLife improvements too :)

I paused about 12 minutes in so I'm not sure if you figured any of these out but here are a few tips from an Ark player:
1: You actually have to go inside the beaver dens to access their inventory.
2: Silica Pearls are for making electronics when combined with metal in a fabricator.
3: You can get water out of a water vein for your garden but you have to build a well on top of it first.
Slight correction. You have to inside of the big beaver dams, not the small ones

Tips :
Silica pearls are used to make useful items like electronics, which you need deeper in the game.
The beaver dams you could not access are another variation of dam you actually have to swim under and enter to access.
If you want to have a easier and a more enjoyable experience, I suggest having the mods:
- Structures Plus
- Ark Additions
- Paleo Ark
- Upgrade Station (This one really helps early on if you have high harvesting rates, which I also suggest since it makes the game more enjoyable.)
Item retrieval grave mod (just search grave in mods)
-Awsome spyglass! Mod
Try to tame powerful creatures like rexes and mass breed them with super reduced breeding rates (which you can alter in the menu when selecting which single player save you want. Select the advanced in the top left corner and scroll and change all the thing you think matter) and send all those rexes into the wyvern trench. Boom, they fight all the wyverns and you can go in after it’s been cleared and get some eggs. Make sure to level the rexes and make sure there is like 30+ of them. Also, taming big dinos are a piece of cake if you can make a longneck and darts and tame a griffin to ride. You can use weapons on top a griffin, so you can point the griffin torwards the ground and use your longneck on top of it. you can also just find a cliff the large dinosaur or creature can’t reach and tranq it from there, but this can be dangerous and risky.
Best creatures for material gathering:
Doedic - Stone
Mammoth, Theri, and Beaver - Wood
Theri, Moschops, Dire Bear, and Megatherium - Fiber
Bronto - Berries and seeds
Theri - Precious Materials (ex: rare flowers, rare mushrooms, both used in many broths and kibbles)
Ankylo - Metal, Obsidian, and Crystals (VERY good materials, very rare, used for most late game items)
Anglerfish - Silica Pearls
Shadowmanes - REALLY powerful and can go on land and swim, and jump really high, best used mutated and leveled with pack buff and water buff. To tame, you trap fish that are 2.0 size or larger in fish basket and then sneaking up on the shadowmane (probably with bug repellent and ghille armor) and feed it a fish basket.
Also, the same species of a dino cannot kill its own species if that species is knocked out and taming, even when they are trying to bite something else. Other wild creatures that aren’t the same species as your knocked out creature, however, can attack it.
Click tab and then type “Gamma (number 2-6) and the higher the value, the brighter the night will be.
Also, tek animals can only breed with another tek variant of themself, not a normal animal.
Never feed a baby herbivore crops, it’s a waste of crops that can be used for rarer items. Also, you had a baby that wanted kibble. All you have to do is use a crypod. cryopod it, and throw it out again. It rerolls what the baby wants. If you don’t want to worry about cryo-sickness, I suggest the soul trap mod. It’s useful for mutating and stuff like baby raising.

Hell yeah! Ark! Can absolutely recommend playing with other people. It makes the experience so much more fun :)
Quick tips that you probably know already but anyways:
-If you don't feel like dealing with beaver dams you can usually find dinos who will turn bugs into chitin for you and you can create cementing paste from that and stones
-The Ark resource and Exploration maps can be very useful but I get that you probably didn't want too many spoilers.
-I can recommend joining servers with the taming speed upped as otherwise, a dino can literally take a few days to tame
-When getting off a bronto you want to run down the tail
-The watering system is a pain but it's best to just put it inside your foundations
-For traps a button that closes the door can be very handy if you don't have a teammate
-Luring baddies off cliffs is your best bet in most cases
-Alphas are so strong you can basically add 50-100 lvls to their shown level
-It's easier to just wait for the cryo sickness timer instead of letting out a bunch of dinos at the same time.
-If a baby wants something you can't get you can cryo them and it will change

I wasn’t expecting this! I love this game !
Since this vid has been out for a couple of months, it proabbly has already been said in the comments, but when trying to tame a dino (tranq arrows, darts etc), before shooting the first tranq, whistle your tames on passive, it will prevent them from attacking any wild dinos (but will also be defensless until whistled on something else than passive).

10/10 I love this take of just playing ark for 100 days rather than trying to beat a boss or something like that, just spending time enjoying a game is great
If you keep having issues with your tames killing things you don't want killed, you can whistle passive for the time being, then switch their temperament to aggressive or neutral after

Quick tip toots, To make a dino stop attacking, press " Whistle passive " Afterwards you knock the dino out, i reccomend pressing " Whistle Agressive" Or " Whistle Neutral "

I really had fun watching your video! Just one hint for you if you hold e you can see a "set dino on passive" or something.. this should help so your dinos won't kill what you attack, cause your tames are set on "attack target" which makes them attack every dino you shoot at.. if you need anymore hints or help, I'll be ready to help, cause I already spent way too much time in Ark xD

Also for your first time playing, I think you did really well! Also that house is gorgeous! Building in ark is really hard & I think you did a great job’
I think a cool tame for the next video (if you make another one of these) would be to tame a therizinosaurus (great at gathering fiber, thatch, wood, & berries), a giant frog (beezlebufo- they just look cool & are so fun to ride. Also their tugs can knock out creatures) and a beaver (I find them actually pretty tanky & can easily defend your other Dino’s)!
Really great job! Especially because you went modless, which makes sense anyway as a beginner. It's more impressive to go modless though. Beyond QoL. Can't wait to see more!

It's nice to see a new players point of view because while I'm no expert I do kinda miss all the "AHA" moments when you figured out how to make or tame something

Many may not know but if you tame 2 otters and level them up in melee damage you can hatch any egg in ark up to even a rock drake. The big beaver dens you go under water and up the middle of it, to access it´s inventory...

Here is a Tip on taming creatures. When you use that ring like follow or stop follow on you tames there is an option called passive which means with you attacking something they will not. When creatures are tamed there automatically set to attack target which means the opposite of what I just said earlier. And the third one is called neutral which basically means that it won’t attack when you attack but it will attack when something attacks it. And remember that once you set your tame on one of these just remember that in situations you have to manually switch it.

Love the video, I made a lot of mistakes too when learning to play ark like don’t learn all the saddles cause some are not worth taming🤣 I don’t use traps anymore I free hand tame now so much fun but I am going to trap a yuti so I don’t have to chase it forever and a day🤣

Hey Toots, if you don't want to lose hp every time you hop off the bronto, just force feed it a berry and it'll lower its head on the ground as an eating animation. Walk down its head and there you go, take nay damage

You should tame an Andrewsarchus. They are very op and very easy to tame. You just lure one with some honey, hop on it's back and try to stay on long enough for it to earn your respect. Awesome video by the way. I really enjoyed watching it.

General tip you need to whistle your animal passive to stop them from attacking things that attack you but be warned they will not attack anything while on passive

Ah, another gamer gets sucked into the amazing experience that is ARK! Yay! And I see you discovered the terror that is the Terrorbird early on! Ba dum tssssshhhh... Okay, sorry. That was stupid. Lol. Anywho, this was a whole lot of fun! I hope you do another one of these! Very entertaining! Also, pro tip for inventory management. Hover your mouse cursor over an item and press the "T" key to instantly transfer the whole stack into a storage compartment. No need to drag and drop with the mouse.

great job!!! but you still have a lot to do. this map has all the old bosses plus 4 new ones maybe do a 200 days vid to finish????
main thing is to fight alphas for runes it takes 30 per fight. but there is also 200 hidden around the map that kinda act like explorer notes and give you an xp boost for a short while.
Please do this again I loved it
