One thing here,when you are using the onager,use w and s to raise the red notch and try to shoot,should be relatively easy to aim and by god,bunches of enemies would be super sweet.

Also when using the mangonel there's a red patch on the left hand beam, that shows the range it's set to. You can increase the range with W key and decrease it with S. I've got no idea how to aim trebuchets yet

Thank you so much VMP, just discovered you a couple of days ago when I recently got Bannerlord, really good series and keep it up, took some inspiration for myself and built my own viking of Sturgia ready to chop heads with the double axe!

For workshops, I’ve noticed mine are also not making any money, and it’s come with this new 1.8 update.
On Reddit I posted about this, plenty of people have theorized that, at least for breweries, that it’s because the ai parties and armies always buy up a lot of the grain, and so therefore there is no input for the breweries to use.
It’s something about how that specific part of the north - Varcheg, Omor, Epicrotea, etc. is a huge hotspot for conflict, and his villager parties now only trade to the closest *allied* city, no matter the danger or distance.
That has a neat side effect that if one were to, say, capture Usanc Castle in Vlandia, as either Sturgia, North Imps, or even Battania, whatever those castle-bound villages produced no longer goes to Vlandia.
But yeah. TL;DR: 1.8 broke workshops.
Interesting, Omor definitely has a grain village but I never even considered that armies are just buying all of it. Hmm Svenalf Ice Incorporated might have to get relocated then
@@TheVMPshow In my post, I was told that Simir and Varnovapol are generally the ‘safe’ sturgian locations, but even they can be finicky. You might try Revyl too (coincidentally the home of the absolutely *based* Vyldur that Svenalf met today), but I don’t know what those nearby villages produce.
Also, side note, Olek is literally the most based individual in the game. Hates Raganvad, is a chad. Thinks all the Sturgian lords should be inependent princes. What more could one ask.
Also I get the importance of a shield, but svenalf shouldn’t use one Atleast when it comes to his equipment picking up one doesn’t seem as bad
I agree once we get a nice 2 handed weapon, but while we're using a one handed axe I feel like we might as well have a shield for big battles

about your workshop you should see the villages that follows the city wich your workshop is in and example if they produce wood you should open a wood workshop etc...
And focus on smithing forging items at 150+ smithing skill level will make you a decent amout of money just get your companions in it get rich!

My kinda play cavalry to take the first charge.. Infantry to kill off and Archers on side to kill maximum.. Honestly loss is minimum in that formation 😅😂
F1 + F3 is a very valid battle tactic 😂
I know I'm not fully caught up yet so you may have already realized this, but if you give ephantus armor and weapons he won't die so easily AND he'll get better at fighting because he'll stay alive long enough to do more damage and even kill enemies, raising his skills with each hit

If you have a business, help make sure your town is stocked with the resources you need, also, I've noticed if you make caravans, the tend to drop off stuff they need, or maybe I got lucky.

Hey about the brewery. Make sure it has a village producing its input otherwise it is slow to make any money if it makes any at all
Yeah Omor has a grain village but apparently lords keep buying out the whole stock of grain for their armies 😅

Spinoff (svenolf) would be reluctant to wear armor but he would be practical at some point... And see the utility of steel..... Also when u said u didn't want him wedding those flamboyant red and white pants, I think he would.... Its his first time dressing up, his tastes are not influence by modern culture yet, so he would wear something over the top thinking its really sharp looking...maybe his own men think he has bad taste but no one dare tell him..."why do u keep staring at my pants ?" Lol
Vmp if your leveling up your guys you should out all your tier 2 and 3s in a command group and find a band of like 10-15 looters and only get them to charge in that way you can level them up much faster

Nice battle, AI still braindead (on both sides) apparently.
Realistic battle mod might fix some things.
RTS camera is also great, it allows you to specifically target an enemy formation instead of a sort of aimed charge that seems to just target the closest enemy.

Svenalf has been working hard these past 6 episodes and I for one think he deserves that Nordic Drip for when he is out of combat and he is just relaxing in town please in the next episode take this man shopping and find him a nice shorty or two lol strong man needs a strong woman
Let me know what kind of weapon you want to smith- I don’t have the mods as I’m on console, but if you’re trying to craft base game items I can make you some sick, optimized gear. I just figured out the way to fully optimize the best 1h sword in the game (there is one specific handle you have to use otherwise you are always at least 1 handling lower, and can have lower damage/speed/length too) , I’ve got several polearm builds- basically have something for every weapon type, but my favorites are the pole arms, 1h shield breaking sword, and a 2h shield breaking falx with 135 length, 152 damage and 91 speed at base level. If you get the balanced/masterwork/legendary, they’re even more sick. I can also give you some unique builds for super long shield breaking spears, couchable glaives, optimal lances, or just about anything else. If you don’t have a stockpile of crafting equipment, I can help you build some pretty sweet items that are cheap to make too. I have a build for a 2h sword that only costs 6 wrought iron but has 148 damage, 91 speed, 84 handling and is 121 length. I can also alter most items to fit if you want a specific length or damage for a specific item and then optimize it.
I kinda want to see Svenalf ride a 🐫, because it will be ridiculous, and it will make him look standout in a Stugain army.

Was wondering if you could recommend a good PC similar to yours that could run Bannerlord on high/max settings because I do be missing my large fights and tournaments. I custom built mine like 5 years ago and have upgraded a couple parts here and there. Tbh I don't know nearly enough about PCs to give a good recommendation. Good news is that with crypto prices going down and Ethereum going to proof of stake, all the expensive graphics cards are flooding the market and the prices are going way down!

Workshops have had a lot of work. Need to check if there's any breweries around you soaking up the profit. Check the towns nearby, because monopolies are where the money is.
If I buy up those breweries and change them to some other kind of workshop will that create a monopoly? 🤔
@@TheVMPshow you also need to see if the villages connected to the city that has your workshop in primarily produce grain, because if they dont then that might be why your workshop is struggling since obviously, grain = beer. if that's the case then just switch your workshop

VMP pls do a run of only recruiting bandis by knocking them out and raid and take a caste you can be a mercenary but no village recruitment. Sell you goods to village you piladge. You can make it harder if you need more of a challenge 💪.
I've thought about doing a "Total War" run where the game starts with us at war with every single faction in the game and we have to survive from there. Would be very difficult though I think lol
