Thank You once again for turning me onto this brand. I have a titanium watch on my "must buy" list and this fits the bill in all category's. I can afford this watch!
I own an RZE, a Fortitude and I can confirm the effectiveness of the hardening coating, there isn't a mark on it, except for the caseback. The latter doesn't have the coating and began picking up scratches within minutes. RZE emulate Grand Seiko in another aspect: they offer an EU exclusive version of the watch.
Another amazing review. Love everything about your videos. Your mastery of cinematography makes me feel like I'm handling the watch in person. Your reviews on the spec, thoughts, pros and cons are on point and brief. Can't wait for your next video. Cheers mate!
This is an impressive Brand. I already have another model and can attest to the effectiveness of the hard coating. A welcome addition to any collection to my eye. The no date version for me is the clear winner on aesthetics.
Hey Pete , very nice dials on these new versions , wearing my RZE Ascentus tonight my biggest gripe is the clasp so I wish it had the same one as it looks very nice ...... I've only had it a few months but as you mention it doesn't have a mark so the coating is a welcome addition , can also attest to the great customer service that Travis provides at RZE , top class
I would've paid a little more to get a miyota 9 series with no date. That dial is gorgeous, design is clean, price profile is good... But that date kills me and the choice of nh35 turns me completely off. Sadness. I actually got excited when i saw the dial
Man, amazing watch, amazing dials, amazing value. Only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger is the date window. A no-date version is an instant buy in Ross Ice white.
The only gripe besides the movement would be the date window at 3 but that’s so minor this is a cool watch especially for a person just getting into the hobby
Just received my RZE Endeavour Blaueis - one out of 99, sold in EU only (at least they tell us so). Sizing up the titanium bracelet for my wirst was indeed quite easy. First impression is it wears quite comfortable, but has a couple of sharp eddges, though. Am curious to see how well the NH35 is keeping the time...
Nice review Pete - I’ve just purchased a mint green Resolute and will probably be buying one of these new textured Endeavour (once I can choose a colour!!). The personal communication and assistance from Travis directly has been incredible and just shows how great a Micro-brand can be. Also looking forward to their next Fortitude release in Q4 (Pilot watch) to complete the trio. One thing I noticed; you said the ‘NH35 Series 2’, I assumed you were referencing the “SII” of the movement? That just relates to ‘Seiko Instruments Inc.’. (I actually believe all new productions are just marked with TMI.) This is still the regular NH35A that we are all familiar with.
I have an older version in orange. Bright orange! Really a good tool watch. My only issue is do I want to buy another color wave of an identical watch?
That “baby blue” looks great and seems to have great legibility. Gotta love RZE … I have two and love ‘em both … and none of them have a scratch on them! Viva UltraHex(tm) Furthermore, RZE regulates their watches before sending them to their customers and mine run at a COSC-like level 💪🏼😎👍🏼 Thanks for sharing.
G’day Pete, that’s an impressive looking piece, the textured dial is gorgeous and I dig the colour on your example, if only they had an illuminating date wheel, now that would’ve been really nice, but it’s still a great watch for the price. Cheers👍
Peter great review. It is exciting seeing so many titanium watches coming out (yes even Rolex). I have the Pelegos 39 as my first titanium piece and it does not disappoint!
Its fantastic specs, even with the Seiko mov, maybe they should have puten the datew at 6 clock, love watches with datew.. not many big brands can beat that! And the clasp, now MB are waking up with on the fly adjustment. Top noch 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻.. Great review 👍🏻
Love my v1. All the upgrades look great. Surprised at the colour mismatch with the date wheel but suppose that's because of the issue with a dynamic dial like that? Would love a no date version. Great review as always
I think the date wheel looks close in certain lighting situations (outside etc) but off in others. You're right it is because that dial has quite a tonal range itself Essentially this is the same as the V1 (except clasp) and I agree bro, a no date version of this would be ideal Thanks for sharing Andrew be well mate
I keep sort of hoping that RZE will produce something that I truly am completely convinced about. They almost had me with the Valour 38, though the KS pricing had something to do with that, too. I still backed out. The fortitude had something, but it was too big and busy for me. It was unlikely to be a dive watch that does it for me, and so this isn't it either. It's interesting to see them attempt visual refinement in dials. They added distinct graininess to the relief and I'm not sure it works. Neither the grain nor how it sits within the watch. Sure, there is nothing inherently wrong, it just doesn't do much to elevate this design for me, and probably is less effective in that regard than a plain grain of the right grade would have been.
Thats a fair comment Ben 👍 RZE also sent me a brand new model they are releasing soon ( prototype) I cannot share it yet, but will make a video in the next month or so This protoype is a very interesting watch and has a few bells and whistles which I really like (stay tuned) 😊
As always, your review is great. I'm particularly drawn to the dial of this watch and I'm wondering if it could compare to what Grand Seiko is offering. If I'm fond of the Grand Seiko dial designs, such as the White Birch, should I save up for a Grand Seiko or would it be better to go for this watch?
From my experience, if you’re after a Grand Seiko anything else will always be a band aid These watches are great as daily rugged beaters, but won’t replace that desire you have for GS
Darn. I wanna see the Ross Ice model next to the Vatnajökull model... With the dial design, these pieces are competing with Christopher Ward and their new Twelve series! Sure, the movement isn't quite as good, however, the casing and bracelet materials are much better considering their hardness vicker ratings are around 10x higher than the Titanium Twelves' hardness ratings (as they just have regular, grade 2 titanium which can be scratched with your fingernail)...
The watch is built well and light. However it was not regulated and ran more than 20s per day fast. I own several watches with NH35 movements that run much better (under 5s per day). In order to improve this I brought it to a watch maker who made it much more accurate (under 5s per day). As he was closing the watch and testing for water resistance it turned out not to be water resistant at all (!). A gasket at the crown was missing. Therefore I would like to point out the very poor quality control with this watch and it's therefore really overpriced. Especially when RZE is bragging with all of their features and one of the most important ones (water resistance) is a failure.
What a ugly date window....they copy gs....a pity....i m sure....i never buy a rze....no identity....copy of copy of copy....and the dial like the walls in my hacienda....beurk

I am a huge fan of the GS. To see this similar dial on a microbrand is very nice to see

Honestly I can't remember the last time I saw a value proposition like this. They have utterly maximized this price point.

Absolutely love the dial. I actually dig the color matched date wheel. Another great review Pete. Cheers.
Wow RZE is killing it! 😮
Great watch and hopefully they create these dials for the GMT models. A dive version with a black bezel and 15 minute marker would also be nice
I enjoy my RZE. The titanium watch on a silicone strap is ridiculously light. And, except for some marks on the case back, I haven't seen any issues.

I asked RZE to send me the Blaueis and they wouldn't because as you said, it is only available in the EU...enjoy it 👍
Great review again Pete. I love my original Endeavour, just wish I could buy the clasp only to upgrade mine!
I love my OG Resolute! Super comfortable and one of my favorite bracelets (minus the clasp).
it look so so good, its near perfect (except the date). The white one is the perfect white birch alternative

Thanks for clarifying re NH35A Adam, cheers mate
Also love the look of the Fortitude, superb. Looking forward to a new model as well
While I'm not a fan of Grand Seiko's overall design philosophy except their dress watches, I absolutely love their influence on awesome dial design.
There are a fantastic watch.
Lovely! Can't figure out why any brands are still selling clasps that do not have on the fly adjustment...

Nice looking watch. That weight on the bracelet is exceptional. I think I like the "Ross Ice" version the best.

Personally I would have loved a no-date in this
Its a fun piece nonetheless 👍
Super presentation

I've sold all of my NH35 divers - except my RZE Endeavour. Would love to be able to upgrade to that new clasp!
😊😊
Very nice…might have to pick one up

Specwise, this is almost perfect for me, with the new dial as well, but why can I resist paying for it, NH35 surely helps a lot........sign
They should release one in 36mm, unfortunately my 6.5 inch wrist is too small for a 40mm watch i.m.o. Otherwise awesome watch!
or even 38mm would be nice too
Id love a 43mm instead
I really would prefer the bezel to show 24 hour markers instead of minutes.

Lovely watch
Hope they send you Ross Ice for b roll
Beautiful 👌
Whenever i watch your videos I hum that Men at Work song 🎶
Hahaha, thats very funny
How is that possible for 500€?
I would expect a better movement with a 500$+ watch, like a miyota 9000

Great looks, excellent specs. But that NH35 movement? No, thank you.
I wonder if it is too small while being too thick for my 19cm wrist
Do you have an SGBE285 to compare?:)
Unfortunately no, it would have been nice to do a side by side 👍
Could this be used as dress watch?
If James Bond can use an Omega Diver as a 'dress watch', then i suppose anything goes 😊
why not a miyota 9xxx or a solar quartz?
Solar Quartz would have been an interesting option for sure 👍
@@PeterKotsa how about some nice wall clocks in the future?

There is no version for $399 with a rubberstrap.
That would have been the introductory pricing
