- Dozens of law enforcement vehicles took part in a somber procession for a Florida Highway Patrol trooper who was killed Friday while trying to detain a fleeing felon in St. Lucie County.
Will they do same for the truck driver he murdered
Not murdered it’s called an accident are police no able to make accidents just because they enforce laws ? You must be the embodiment of perfection .

So the trooper made an illegal u turn to chase a suspect that no one knows why he was running to start with and the trooper killed an innocent traveler ( trucker ) who was just doing his job. If they broke chase then chances are everyone would still be alive. Now the trooper is dead and he murdered someone.
Is not ilegal to do U turns, if you drive (that I suppose you don’t for your comment) you probably would’ve seen all the signs in the highway for U turns for “Police use only” because they need to do that in order to stop a suspect.

R. I.P thank u for ur service. My condolences to his family and friends. He’s younger than my oldest son and older than my younger son. I can’t imagine what his mother is going through and all his family, but I have sons that age I feel for his step mom n his dad.

The cop has a legal and moral obligation to weigh the costs of continuing the chase or backing off due to the risk to innocent bystanders. The same reason a cop might not spray and pray into a crowd to stop a killer. The fhp needs some serious auditing of their training and the psychological state of their troopers.

Why don't they show the face of the innocent driver who was killed by this cop not paying attention. The driver didn't take the job knowing a cop would pull out infront of him . As in parkland school shooting , the blm riots or any natural disaster the cops will follow the Supreme Court ruling cops have no duty to protect the public. One cop called off the chase knowing the danger to him and the public. This guy made the choice to chase. The truck driver didn't have a choice he was following the law. The cop is the one who pulled out i n front of the truck.

@@ozadarter wouldn't matter. Did you not see parkland or uvalde. Cops have immunity. They can't be held liable for almost anything they do. Look up how many homes they have destroyed wrongfully. One case went to the Supreme Court. Court ruled they aren't liable. You can watch ons video of a cop slamming into a car thay pulled over and stopped to let the cop pass. His insurance wouldn't pay. Because cops fault. cops wouldn't pay because they had immunity. Basically they can get away with almost anything and not be held accountable.
