  • Poor sportsmanship from Hill as he holds up Schumacher not for position but being lapped in a desperate attempt to hand the title to his old team Williams at the conclusion of the 1997 season.

Don't forget that Hill already crashed into Schumacher before 1994, back in 1993. Yet Michael was painted as the bad guy, when it was Hill who kept having grudges against him since before they even fought for a title. 1994 Adelaide wasn't even Michael's fault either. Clear divebomb from Hill.

Why am I not surprised, considering what they went through in 1994? Still, I would think Damon would get into trouble with the stewards for not letting Michael through right away when he should do.

What's the problem with 1994? A mature man would not have a problem with 1994, like Prost and Senna after 1989 + 1990. But Hill ... oh boy, like a little girl.

@keithmoon1947 you make it sound like he smashed into coulthard on purpose. Schumi was dominating that race, driving brilliantly in the difficult conditions. he built up an enormous lead and crashing into a backmarker who was being lapped was certainly not the plan. the visibility was very bad and it was an unfortunate incident. i can understand his frustration afterwards especialy when that win could have made the difference in the championship. oh and btw dont forget he was disqualified in 97

No, I didn't call it a racing incident. I said if you ignore the fact that Schumacher had just driven into a wall it could be considered a racing incident (although even then the onus is on Schumacher). Given his car was damaged, the move was plain dirty. I don't base this judgment on Schumacher's subsequent shady behavior either - I watched the event live and felt the same way about it then. You seem to have a serious chip on your shoulder about Hill.
